Bring Back Gem System

I was wondering if the gem system could be brought back.......The reason that it was taken away was because people were using it to benefit thier main characters and or alts. But i think you have mostly stopped the benefiting of main characters. I've noticed we can't  attack our alts or plunder the cityhouses of our alts so maybe you could just block the transfer of gems from main to alt and bring back the gem system.......just a suggestion

I know what will happen then. the same thing.

also, the protection is not foolproof. people will circumvent it.

a pvp is not much compared to shifting over 30 gems. I had people who did that and even more.

well, we can talk.

but: if one is caught red-handed, he will be punish up to the deletion of his char.
I won't go on as carefree as I was, because people tend to abuse stuff, and those who abuse should be punished.

neji what if youre taking care of a few peoples accounts?
i take care of 2-3 different peoples accounts and theyre considered "alts" of mine.
what if they log on themselves and they withdraw gems from a castle that the person who uses their account has?
would that lead to the same problem since its not your account but youre helping them keep it active?

now you see why the system breaks there...

I cannot 100% distinguish it, there will be discussions over and over...
until people can trade their gems.

You know... there were people donating for others to get gems... there was a blackmarket in progress...

there was a blackmarket in the proccess lol. People donated 5 dollars for other people in exchange for 20 gems. Is that a bad thing?........

I would think that is bad to do, but I don't see that in the rules. That's like an unfair way of getting gems.....So having the gem system could bring in a lot of trouble...

Indeed.
Even you asdfjkl have alts that can do the same thing.
I have caught my share of people that did the Gem -> Alt
It's better without it.

$5=20 gems... I have had more like $5=100 gems and so on.

The point is: there was a large-scale gem exchange going on. From people who were high enough so they did not need them, to people who came just into the game.

If I wanted "buy gems via dp", I would have implemented that feature.
But I chose to keep the kyuubi as prize mount.

Let me ask you a question:
why do you want to exchange gems?

and don't say "to help people out", because in 90% of all cases people can help themselves and are not short of 3 gems of something. The only reason would be to buy Kyuubi, which won't be possible in the near future anymore.

well, one of the reasons that i do want it back is cause of the 5 dollars for 20 gems. I'm one of the unfortunate people who can't donate (anymore) while others can so i used to use this all the time with various different people. I'm like 100 gems short of kyuubi right now and you said that soon kyuubi will not be able to be bought. He is coming out 1 more time before you take him out of the buying system, correct? If you are maybe you should announce the last day that it will be possible to buy him so people can prepare for that day......this would be nice for those people who always have been trying to get him and have enough gems but might miss him if it's not announced. That would really suck for them since after that he would never be able to be bought again so maybe just this once you can announce his last day on the market.

Once you can no longer buy Kyuubi (or other mounts for that reason) - ALL mounts will be taken away, correct?

Those of us that do have Kyuubi won't be 'grandfathered in', will we?

So after you get your gem refund back of kyuubi, what will be the purpose of the gem system if there is no kyuubi to get? Why can't people just wait and play the game, it's not that hard to get gems. If this system is back, then there probably will be trading going on amongst main accounts and their alts.  I would probably imagine that the mods and Neji would have to work twice as hard to make sure that no one breaks the rule, but how can they catch every single person who breaks the rule? This is where you have to think and see if bringing back the gem system will help promote the rules or break them, and it will surely not help promote the rules.

I'd not wait for a permanent one though...

the mount change won't take place in the next few days, but kyuubi has a veeery little chance to show up. you would also not enjoy him very long.
