Why can't we color them? I was wondering if we could since some of the forest emeie's weapons are colored now.

I noticed the forest enemies' weapons colored too. I was like wow..who messed with them

And I reserved colored weapons for special purposes for now ;)

later on, you may colour them...
but I don't know if this is a reward of some kind or if it should be buyable.

It could be a reward for something...Buying it might make it a little easier...Maybe for now, if you get Rasengan coloring your weapons/armor can be a reward as well...

This is just  suggestion, you can add more to it.
