The rubble that covered him rose and fell away from that which had shielded him from the crumbling pillars, the ethereal form of his Susano'o  pushed itself upward from beneath the rock and dirt with Kotetsu at it's core. But as soon as he was free and certain  that Kay was not in the immediate area, the sinister figure of dark oppressive chakra would fade away once again. After a moment of scanning the area, he saw tracks leading down into the hills and set off after them, his blade at the ready and his sense sharp in case of an ambush.

As he reached the stream, and the end of her tracks, he stopped. He looked across the stream, then both up and down it to see if there were any clues as to where Kayenta had gone. Carefully he hopped to a stone in the middle of the stream and paused, searching the area with his doujutsu in hopes of catching a glimpse of her chakra through the leaves or trees.

Looking through the veil of water behind which she stood, she could see Kotetsu standing upon the stone. She reached out to lay her hand upon the flowing water pouring her chakra into it in small trickles. This flowed out into the water where it pooled initially at the base of the cliff before drifting out into the stream. Moenkopi would part the veil of water to stand upon the lip of stone slightly above the poo,l yet nearly at the water's level, and call out to him. "Were you looking for me?" Slowly tentacles would rise up out of the water behind him waving in a lazy manner back and forth as though seeking evidence of life. When they had risen to a height of 12 feet, the tentacles, 6 in number, would lash out trying to entrap Kotetsu within their grasp.

Grinned and thrust his blade straight down between his feet, his hand clutching the pommel. "I was."He said as his blade struck through the stone, cleaving most of them in half. He pushed off of his weapon with considerable strength and threw himself up into the air, away from the tentacles of water. His hands coming together in the form of Kata.

He descended into the water down stream of Kay and the tentacles, completing a blurring string of Kata that he had begun in the air. As he finished, the water of the stream about his legs began to surge and rise forward.
"I believe this technique needs no introduction."He stated as the billowing current rose and surged forward, the foremost waves spreading like the jaws of a dragon to consume the tentacles and Kayenta, if she did not move hastily, before crashing against the falls behind her.

Moenkopi had kind of forgotten that Kotetsu was a suiton user too. Not that this was a huge detriment to her, it would just lessen her own ability to be very menacing. The last thing she wished to do was engage in a tug of war over control of the available water. Still, she formed kata and the tentacled creature rose up out of the water so that its form could be seen. This cause the tentacles to tower up into the air and as the dragon plunged toward her to devour herself and her water creation, it would seek to strangulate the dragon with four of the tentacles while aiming to pierce its body with the other four.

Meanwhile she dove into the pool beneath the creature she had crafted content to let the two behemoths battle it out. What her construct was she could not really say. Yes it had tentacles, but it was not a squid or an octopus. Oddly enough it looked like a huge tube and the tentacles were coming from out the top like a sea anemone. When the water got shallow, she climbed up out to the far shore and scanned the area for his location to see if he had moved.

He watched as her giant creature emerged from the stream further to battle his dragon, which struggled against the tentacles, snapping its jaws. He raised a single  handed kata and imbued the beast with a bit more of his chakra. As his creation grew stronger, the stream on his end began to shallow as well. This excess use of water would show in the form of a pair of clawed arms sprouting from his beast's sides.

As his water dragon dug it's claws into Kayenta's anemone, Kotetsu spotted her on the move and darted beneath the monsters. Snatching his sword from the stream bed before weaving his way out from under them, he dashed onto the opposite bank from which Kay now stood. He was certain she had seen him and so he reeled his arm back as he pivoted on his heel to face her direction, his view now hindered by the water constructs in his way.

"Heads up!" He yelled out as his blade came to rest in his palm in the manner one would hold a spear they were about to throw, and sure enough his arm came forward, hurling the blade like a javelin. The weighted hunk of sharpened steel ripped through the center of the battling beasts and would impale anything that was unfortunate enough to be caught in its path on the other bank.
