Eric Nara vs Ichirou Senju
« on: October 29, 2014, 03:09:57 AM »

Current Rules as of 08-30-14 Subject to revision

ºHow to declare a winnerº
The battle commences with the initial post & terminates once either combatant is unable to continue. Such a feat can result in several ways, including knock-outs (concussions, etc.), full paralysis, almost-fatal wounds & so forth. So long both parties declare it plausible & understand the longevity/risk of the claim, it's considered eligible for use. However, things can, of course, become debatable in attempt to reach such a goal & in doing so arguments are bound to commence. If need be, either party can have onlookers & such /dis/agree with the action until a verdict is reached. If desired, either party can have other hosts or officials of sorts represent them for a more "legitimized" (as some have called it) reasoning or "Back-up".

ºRulesº
Like any other zone fight, rules are established as support for completing the quarrel without need for troubles to arise. Those basic rules are also adopted into host-challenges. The rules are as follows [unless agreed upon both parties (with proof) to be something otherwise]

ºNo Auto-Hittingº
Auto-Hitting is recognized as being a direct action following through without consent of the opposing party.

ºNo God-Moddingº
God-Modding has been recognized as an incorrect claim of one or more super-powers incapable of one's possession or against what one's character establishes. Several other things have been regarded God-Modding such as dodging every attack, extreme maneuvers & such. If God-Modding should occur, the opposing party will object to it & things can be negotiated from there.

Special rules

-The match is to be 1v1, though summons and the like are permitted.

-Victory for the challenger is the defeat of the host through any means necessary, and vice versa. Death in the fight does not equate to death IC.

-Skills acquired during an OOC match are not carried over IC.

-Is willing to fight either at SL or on the SL forum, the latter option most useful for fights where long periods of time may pass between postings (and also serves as a record of the fight's progress for other challengers)

- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are the preferred days for zoning. Times vary by week, so see host for details.

This is new, so pay attention: A hard time of 2 weeks for either participant to post without prior notification of RL issues. Upon such, failure to post will result in forfeit.

If you wish to make a challenge, post below stating the name of your in-game character, compliance or wish to negotiate with the above stipulations from the host, and preferred zone. After that, communication will mostly be in private messages through a necessary medium.

Any questions or concerns should be directed in PM's as to avoid cluttering unnecessarily this thread. Thanks in advance.

Negotiations via PM

Kamui is to be judge for the fight.

If the challenger agrees to the above or wishes to clarify/add something, now is the time to do it. Otherwise, post acceptance of the above.

Once that is done, Ichirou, as challenger in my fight, you may have the first entry post. No others are to be posting in this thread except for Kamui, and that is only to give a ruling if necessary.

I accept your terms and conditions.

Zone: Empty Town
Time of Day: Noon
Weather: Clear
Wind: none

Ichirou walked through the streets of the empty town, making his way towards the center of the city, where he knew the tallest building was. His long black robes making him almost blend in to the bleak age of the city, the stone of the buildings cold, dark, mossy in most places. But today way particularly dry, almost making it look as though the entire city had rusted, the quiet only broken by the sound of his foot steps as he approached, he found himself wondering just what this city was like before it had died away, all it was now was a common battleground, just like today. Midasu holstered to Ichirou's left side, and Surudoi hidden underneath the thick tied red robe around Ichirou's waist, almost resembling that of an Otonin is the way that it was tied, but Ichirou had no affiliation with the such. his combat gloves were visible on his hands, though this sleeves were still rather long, falling and dangling behind his hands concealing his arms rather well. His clothing did not resemble that of armor, but it was indeed. Though this was to be discovered later. Ichirou had finally made his way to the exact center of the city, with the tallest building before him, standing high above the 2, 3, 4, and even 5 story high buildings of the city, This particular building was a tower of 10 stories, a large square building with windows covering all four sides, almost making it seem as if the building was made with glass walls. Standing at the bottom of it, Ichirou would burst into a gust of wind as he utilized his mastery of the Kaze shunshin to make it to the top of this building, appearing once again in a gust of wind. The sun bore down hard on the roof of the building, and looking out into the distance, the Heat of the day would be visible in the distances, "This seems to be the most appropriate spot." Ichirou would say to himself as he waited, wondering if his opponent shared the same idea as he, or if he had to find some other way to come in contact with his opponent.

Eric Nara was a man of his word, in the aspect that he would never go anywhere naked again. Or at least, not in public.

Wearing his akastuki robes and hat, the noontime heat might would make this quite unbearable; he bore no hood on this particular cloak, he didn't feel that he would need it, but he did have his Blade of Shadows strapped to his back, courtesy of Uetto. How he acquired it Eric still had to ponder over, but that was besides the point.

In addition to his cloak, he bore his Jonin outfit underneath it, chainmail and flak jacket prominently featured were one to take a look underneath the cloak. The pouches were attached to the outside of this get-up for some reason, but Eric also had the standard pouches on the inside of the cloak as well. One could only guess then what the outside pockets held.

The man found himself standing atop of a building to the East of his quarry. If a right triangle could be formed between him and his foe, with the hypotenuse stretching diagnally between the two, then the base would be 20 feet, the height would be about 200 feet (10 stories is about 180ft, but varie depending on the space between the buildings) making for a hypotenuse of about 201 feet (this is not exact, as by doing the calculations you would find that you still would be off a by a foot, but creative liscence ftw).

So, he was very close to the base of the building; with it being noontime, most shadows thus would be near the base. Whether his foe caught on to this purposful entry or not would be beyond Eric, but the ruined state of the city left much of a tale. The fact that such at all building remained was, in short, a miracle.

A miracle that would not go unnoticed, for it was the tallest and most visible icon in this ruined city. Some water towers dotted the city, some worn out walls filled out the perimeter of this mile long (at the diameter if the walls form a circle around the city) along with a few other landmarks.

Eric's focus, however, was on the dot all the way at the top of the building. From here, with the naked eye, he could hardly distinguish features specifically, but he could ascertain that that was where his foe had entered. Such could have been seen from a farther distance out quite easily, and though there were many windows, the buildings down below provided a labyrinth of shadows that dared his opponent to come down.

He would watch for his opponent to make a move, his trench knives on the outside pocket of his cloak, his sword sheathed and strapped to his back on the outside portion of the cloak. The stillness provided a tempting environment to begin gathering natural energy, but the man refrained. Temptations could not be so quickly let to.

Ichirou would stand in the center of the roof on this building, scanning out onto the area, after a little time had passed and the arrival of his opponent was none, he would activate his Three Tomoe Sharingan, and scan the outer area looking for his opponent.

Finally he had found him, he was quick to get a rough estimate of the distance between the two of them, but had little to no intention of removing himself from the roof of this building.

He would act fast, five kata and the clapping of hands would activate Suiton: Suidanha, allowing him to spew forth a stream of water from his face sharp enough to cut stone, though this would be unknown until it met it's mark, which considering the distance would only take so long, but Ichirou did not intend to actually hit with this technique, no instead he wished to cause his opponent to change location. Ichirou remaining ever wary as he spewed forth the pressurized chakra water

Continued to watch his opponent, and upon seeing what appeared to be a stream of water coming down towards him, Eric leapt from the roof that he was on top of. He landed in front of the building, hearing the tiles and ceiling being torn through by the attack.

Water release was one of his opponent's natures then? That meant that he needed to be wary of falling water. His opponent did not seem too keen on leaving the tower, and Eric had no intentions on, for now, forcing him down. Reaching into his Akatsuki cloak, he pulled out a scroll marked with the Nara Clan symbol upon it.

Breaking the seal, he would open it and lay it out in front of him. A surge of chakra would then leave the scroll, this chakra having already been pre-set prior to the fight. This surge would then transform into a dark barrier, forming a prism of a length of 5 feet, a width of 5 feet, and a height of 7 feet. All in all, not very encompassing.

Kagewana: Mugen Hōyō ; Shadow Trap: Infinite Embrace

The barrier would be multi-layered, and consisting of pre-existing chakra, it would only last for about 2 turns after activation. Upon coming into contact with a foreign shadow, the first and outermost layer would bind that shadow in its place. The first layer would also have the ability to absorb chakra from anything ensnared by it. The second layer is almost like an extension of the first, transporting those trapped (yet still moving into the barrier, as would be the case with things affected by gravity) to the shadow realm.

The third and final layer was merely a barrier of solid black chakra, protruding outwards akin to the shadow sewing technique were the second layer to be dissmissed. Although the only solid defense of the barrier, it was sturdy, and highly resiliant against taijutsu, explosions, and such blunt force methods of entry.

All three layers, upon activation, drain chakra from the scroll (and thus shorten the time that the barrier may be active, bar the user does not directly supply more chakra), even more so when in use to deflect objects or persons. Additionally, the three layers are also present at the base/feet of the barrier, meaning that attacking from underground would not necessarily circumvent this defense.

Confident that his quarry, with water release anyways, did not have anything that could get past all three of his defenses, Eric becomes very still, gathering natural energy in preparation for sage mode.

Turn 1 of natural energy gathering

Ichirou would cease his jutsu as the building was torn to pieces, though his opponent no longer stood upon it,

with his Sharingan Ichirou could see the barrier his opponent had formed around him, and could only assume that this defense would serve a purpose, though Ichirou knew not quite what, recovering a tag from within his robes, he would throw it down on the ground behind him, though he would be unsure if his opponent would even witness this, however it was no matter, Ichirou would discard the tag to the roof of the building behind him, not ever turning his attention from his barrier confined opponent,

Ichirou would also recover a cigarette from within his robe, as well as a match. Lighting his cigarette and inhaling deeply as he examined his opponent. "Mokuton: Hotei no Jutsu." would leave his lips with the cloud of smoke he exhaled, causing two large hands, each around the size of a tailed beast, to emerge from the ground on either side of the building which his opponent stood upon, Ichirou's mastery of the Mokuton allowed him to create these two Hotei hands with purely his will, though creating anymore would require usage of hand seals, these large hands wrapped around the building, aiming to crush it and cusp the barrier confined opponent within the hands, if the barrier could withstand the constrictive force of the hands, it would only be for so long, at least Ichirou hoped so as he smoked his cigarette.

Edit's his previous post to: Suspending the cigarette in his mouth for a moment he would weave the required hand seals, activating the mokuton technique, removing the cigarette out of his mouth I'd state the name of the jutsu as I did in the previous post and everything else would fall in line accordingly

Now, the genius that was the barrier technique was that Eric did not usually need to constantly monitor it in order to make sure it was running smoothly. As the earlier properties state, the first and second layers would take care of this rather nicely, both absorbing chakra from the wooden constructs and transporting them into a separate dimension if that were not enough.

Since it presumably takes a significant amount of chakra to make these constructs, most of the chakra absorbed would go towards actually shifting these giant hands into the shadow dimension. Within a short time, the hands would be gone, and the barrier would still have one turn left on its counter.

Eric would continue gathering natural energy, though the shift in his surroundings caused by the Mokuton constructs would not go entirely unnoticed, especially since he was turning himself with nature. Of course, he would still focus on gathering natural energy for the sake of entering sage mode.

Would raise an eyebrow as his hands were disposed of, and continued smoking his cigarette, deciding to ride out his opponents barrier, to see how his opponent would act once leaving the barrier. His sharingan would evolve into it's Mangekyo state as he assumed things would be getting serious soon.

Unharassed, Eric entered sage mode.

The man would, unceremoniously in some degree, sprout wings, a tail, and all manner of things that would cause him to strongely resemble a Western dragon. Which would not be a coincidence in the least bit, but one that would not be seriously elaborated on too much further, other than that he was a wind dragon much like his dragon companion Rita, though he retained his original dimensions (being about 6ft and human sized and all).

In his wind dragon form, the man had access to dramatically increased stats, along with a set of brille that he could optionally use to defend himself from dojutsu attacks. However, he would not start all of that; for he also now acquired the sensory abilities of a sage.

The main problem, unfortunately, was that his opponent had not moved down to his level. Cheeky bastard, Eric thought to himself. If he was going to insist on staying up on that tower, then something had to be done.

Stomping on the scroll, the barrier de-activated. In a whirl of handsigns, Eric would knead his chakra, take a deep breath, and then exhale a large orb of roaring fire.

Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu; Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique

Enhanced by senjutsu, the orb would head straight for the base of the large tower-like building, with the intent on completely and utterly destroying the first floor. In doing so, Eric aimed to cause a general collapse of the building, and thus force his quarry to come to earth (no pun intended). Presuming successful in at least getting the fireball to target, the fireball would also leave a sizeable crater that would hopefully aide in the collapse of the building.

His trajectory intended for it to either collapse directly downwards or away from him, though he would be prepared if his quarry attempted to change this directioning.

Due to his Sharingan, Ichirou's reaction time would be spot on, as his opponent released the barrier and wove his seals, Ichirou would clasp his hands together, recognizing immediately the jutsu in preparation, it was a jutsu he and many others used often, his counter was prepared, kneading his own chakra into the earth,

Doton: Chidōkaku, Earth Release: Moving Earth Core

Ichirou would utilize this technique to raise roughly 20 meters of square space directly in front of his "tower" up, raising the any preexsisting buildings along with it, he would raise this in time to intercept the fireball, detonating it prematurely, and extending his little game of tower defense with his opponent, he would raise the earth just high enough to intercept his opponents attack, as to keep his chakra expending at it's lowest. his eyes narrowed, focusing now more than ever on his opponent, as he prepared for the mans next move, he took into account his opponents recent usage of Senjutsu chakra, though he had time to charge it, Ichirou was unsure of how much he had taken in exactly, having had experience with Senjutsu chakra in the past, even so to the point of absorbing it into his body (though not enough to turn to stone, obviously) Ichirou was able to feel the location of sages as he was in combat with them, but he could not read exact levels of remaining Senjutsu chakra he kept all these things in mind as he focused his attention on this battle, one of if not the most important of his shinobi life.

The only problem between switching between meters and feet is that the two are not equivalent; by raising the ground in front of his tower by 20 meters (presumably where Eric is at) all he would accomplish would be raising Eric and the ground below the fireball. While this would perhaps weaken the fireball somewhat due to friction, it would not completely divert its course, nor would it actually deflect it. Though Eric did not specify how close he got to the building exactly, he was certainly within 20 meters of it, and so would his fireball.

Of course, presuming that the raised earth weakened the fireball, while it would not be great enough to destroy the tower, it would at the least damage it. Acknowledging that his opponent also possessed Doton, which was natural since Mokuton consisted of Doton and Suiton, Eric lamented that it would be a waste of senjutsu trying to continue to force his opponent down to him.

Reaching into his tools pouch, Eric would withdraw five kunai, each explosively tagged. He  would hurl these towards the base of the building, and intended on detonating them. As it was likely that his opponent would attempt to use Doton again to intercept his attack, Eric would throw all five of them at once. As a sensor while in sage mode, he would be capable of taking note of any changes in chakra, particularly of the environment, and, at least before his throw, adjust as necessary.

Would just five explosive tags finish off the building? Presuming they met their mark they would, though Eric was not exactly a demolitions expert, so he would be going for what appeared to be support structures with his throw.

* Edit/Addition I notice post-script that you specified square meters. Now, presuming that the block is 10x2 in some fashion, however high you deem it necessary to make it, then it would have to be either 10 meters forward (about 32 feet) and 2 meters wide (which would make sense considering you want to block the fireball, but it would still raise Eric as well, who is within the 32 foot extension) or 2 meters forward and 10 meters wide (which would be more wide protecting, but be considerably weaker and only succeeding in weakening the senjutsu-enhanced fireball, though that would prevent Eric from also being raised up).

Either scenario would still make sense for me to attempt to demolition the building yet still. However, if I am completely wrong and I interpreted this incorrectly, then let me know.

Ichirou had been focusing his sight on his opponent for quite some time, and for a reason just as this, as Ichirou would succeed in protecting the structural integrity of the building for the time being, he would act as his opponent moved to draw his Kunai, activating his long range Kamui technique, Ichirou would aim to remove the right knee of his opponent. He had been focusing his eyes on the man for quite some time, allowing him quick activation of the technique, which would hopefully claim the knee rather quickly, seeing as the target wasn't exceedingly large, Ichirou hoped that claiming the knee of his opponent would throw off the flow of the fight, however this probably wouldn't stop the destruction of the building at this point, it would crumble and fall forwards, Ichirou flipping onto the new "top" of the wreckage, and throwing out four tags in a square around his body, though if his opponents knee was claimed, he was unsure if he would witness the act of setting these new tags. Ichirou would stand in the center of the four tags each roughly 10 feet away from the center point (Ichirou) in an Iaido stance, his left leg back and right forward, his right hand grasping the handle of Midasu as he awaited the next move of his hopefully dismembered opponent

Time was of the essence indeed, for as his opponent activated Kamui, Eric would still be in the midst of his demolitions attempt (at the withdrawing kunai stage). With sage mode, the man would pick up on the distortion of space, and adjust his throw so that his throw would block the line of sight that his opponent had on his knee. In essence, rather than taking his knee then, his foe would take only a single explosively tagged kunai before Eric let loose his throw.

This adjustment was noted to be possible and prepared for in the previous post; nonetheless, once realizing that his opponent had the likes of Kamui in his arsenal from the chakra forming the space distortion, Eric leaped backwards a few feet, likely thwarting or at least reducing the effectiveness of any adjustments that his own quarry would have made once realizing Eric's counter.

While in his leap backwards, he would perform a set of handsigns, his body seemingly vanishing into the surroundings. This appearance of integration would in fact be an advanced form of the chameleon technique, increasing its strength with senjutsu to the point in which he no longer seemed to exist, erasing even his chakra signature in a single fell swoop.

Senpō: Ōmeisaigakure no Jutsu- Sage Art: Great Chameleon Technique

Presuming this was all successful, this would prevent his opponent from seeing him or even sensing his chakra (without direct contact that is), even with the sharingan. As his final act, he would leap again from his previous location and onto an adjacent building (directly across the street from the first building he had been standing on, the street being only a meter wide, and Eric being slightly on level with the roof due to the earth style attack), in case his quarry had been crafty enough to realize how he could still attempt to use Kamui against him in this brief window of time.

As his intention had been to detonate them himself, the interruption would prevent him from immediately taking down the building. As a direct result, the building as well would still be intact, and presuming Ichirou had continued with his line of actions after his attack, then his formation would be at the very top of the tower that, for now, still stood erect.

Would find a smile upon his face at such a crafty manner of avoiding his Kamui, taking into his realm Eric's Kunai alone, leaving it's explosive tag behind, in case the man was so crafty as to try and detonate it at a later time, when it would be detrimental to Ichirou. He would refrain from spamming his Kamui on his opponent and instead as he would vanish Ichirou would hold up the snake seal,

Mokuton: Kajukai Kōrin - Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees.

This would cause a large, dense forest to begin to sprout, starting from underneath Ichirou's feet, increasing the structural integrity of the building as it began to spread out through the zone, not entirely encumbering it, but roughly 50 feet in any direction would be infected with this large forest, trunks of trees moving like snakes as they wrapped around buildings, bursting in and out of the ground, all of them bearing many large pink flowers, which would immediately begin to release a dense yellow pollen, This pollen would spread much farther than the extent of the forest, and if inhaled by any one person, said person would be rendered unconscious, this of course meant if Ichirou himself inhaled the pollen he would rendered unconscious, but this pollen was under the control of his chakra, allowing him to spread it without it reaching his building top, he aimed to either catch his opponent with the pollen, or force him to disperse it, revealing his location if only for a moment. There were now 5 tags littering the roof of the building which Ichirou remained, his sharingan scanning the area quickly to see if his opponent would reveal himself. Though his reserves were rather large in size, Ichirou made sure to keep an eye on his chakra levels, should his opponent suddenly push him to expend extensive amounts, he had ways to restore his chakra, and made sure to keep his chakra levels in mind.
