Now i know this isn't really a big thing and would probably only be used by SELECT FEW but as someone who has had my account for a while i was/still am kinda used to the names being different. With the new names they have i get a bit confused on which is which (and dont really like wasting my turns or whatever going from town to town) So i was wondering if its possible to get an option, if its wanted,to have the names changed back to what they were before they changed.

I would rather not return Konohagakure to Land of Fire. Cause that's not the location you're at in-game (well, technically you are in Fire Country, but you get the picture).

Yes. They did have the land names a thousand years ago. Maybe it could be edited in to include the country name at the end.

Just because there's no 'reason' for it, doesn't mean it is a bad thing. I'm sure those that have been around for a long time would appreciate the nostalgia-factor of it. Nostalgia can be a powerful force in this world of creativity.
And it shouldn't really be too hard to do. I don't see why it'd be much different from the snownin options that happen on christmas. Just click a box if you want to turn on 'Vintage Mode' or something.

And I have to agree with Becquerel, Shadow. The request of another is just as valid as anything. He gave his reasons. So a reason exists. It is not for you to be dismissive of another's idea. Neji will weigh this suggestion like he does any other.

As others have spoken their minds on the matter I too have. Can I say I'm against it? Yes just as much as you can say you're for it. My opinion was in no way put as a definitive answer as obviously I don't hold that power.

If anything why not just label the map with the old names?


Where it says Konoha put (Land of Fire) somewhere under it.

As far as vintage mode goes I'm not too entirely sure how that would work. The only difference of the site from now and years back would be the names of things as we still have old templates and anything in-game such as what villages have what shop and what villages can be chosen as a race cannot be changed by way of the site 'skin'. Like said it'd just be another Xmas, Talk like Naruto, April Fools text edit option.

Then again have enough things changed name to warrant a vintage text mode?

I know it might seem like not that important but i (as an old player) would really appreciate it and (at least for me anyway) it would be a bit easier since i remember where the stuff was by those old names. i am still confused with the names they have now haha. Then again i know i am a minority so i know this isnt an important thing but i really like the idea of the vintage mode thing.

I still hope we get this, i dont see what harm it could do if it was an option to change it to for your account. Sure it may not have an effect for everyone but for an older account such as myself it would be nice.
