In the Naruto OVA, "Chūnin Exam on Fire! Naruto vs. Konohamaru!" , Naruto was forbidden to use Sage Mode to make it more fair for other genins. I think we should implement this rule and expand upon it. (You can watch the OVA here)

No Sage Mode
No Rinnegan/Tenseigan
No Susanoo/Kamui
No ridiculous techniques like Mayfly and Hijutsu: Kirisame
No OP techniques like Dust Release

And keep the # of overall KGs at two. That's my opinion.

I say no Mangekyou sharingan (we are talking a chunin exams here) and an overall limit of one KG. Two KG for genin wanting to become Chunin seems a bit much imho, especially if they claim full mastery in said KG.

That's fair. I was also thinking we can hold the Chuunin Exam around Winter Break (between. Dec 19, 2015-Jan 3, 2016). That way, there will be more people available to do the exam while giving themselves more time to 'train' / get ready.

I am not opposed to those ideas either.

There really is no reason to rush things. It's not like the site is closing down tomorrow or anything.

It's better not! I've invested too much time into SL.

Yea true point, and overall I agree with just having one KG. Other then that, it will be interesting to attend in the opening ceremony or something.

This all sounds wonderful and kind of necessary, with the previously mentioned 'norm' for people to automatically acquire KGs and powerups with no official rank ups. This would be a great way to organize those who truly wish to earn their power and am behind it if I can be. I would allow for Uzushiogakure to become apart of such as well and send some of our own shinobi, eager for a challenge.

That is great. And in the mean time people can be training their jutsu and sparing in the zones to get ready. I will be updating the first post as people indicate their interest to participate.

I guess I was the only downer here. Seems like a good number of people are behind it.

Sweet, then I can't wait to attend the fights and enjoy visiting other villages using the exams as an excuse xD

Well I think you brought up a good point, not many people do RP themselves at Genin/chuuin level. However, it will be nice to see this opportunity for people who are seeking to find a scenario more open to those of a different power set, than the maxed out power hitters, become available to them. I have to wonder how many people there are on SL that find it intimidating to even join the mainstream RP due to a feeling of just not being able to go head to head with the events going on around them.

Gwendalyn says that she would welcome opening up Tsuki no kuni/Getsugakure to the exams in order to get some activity for her little island.

Hmmmm. I may make a new character for this. I do enjoy Chuunin exams.

I think Genin is the most fun rank there is.

I'm make a character Kay. A Genin  from Konoha. It will be an academy student account. I'll try to level it to Genin before then

I'm not sure on a name as of yet but I am think of going with the bug welding clan of Konoha.

Or if I get a single rest account make a rock lee type character. Gate user.
