The Nara was glad the arrow landed, but as he landed, the thief had lunged towards him in what he saw as desperation. Deciding to end things, he clenched the bow in his hand and moved it to parry the strike towards his arm. He then hopped back a few feet, evading the second swing. With his free hand he pulled another arrow from his quiver and aimed it at the thief. "Give up, nothing is worth dying for." Something was nagging at the Nara, telling him something was about to happen. Always one to go with his instincts, his chakra coursed through his being with a purpose in mind.

The person before him would give a low growl as the man jumped backwards away from the attack, parrying the strike easily. The person screamed and, it wasn't a man's voice, but  female's voice,"DIE!!!!" She screamed, the dagger from her right hand would fly forwards with a flick of the wrist. It came barreling towards his chest quickly but, with the amulet glowing purple still, the daggers would multiply into fifty, hoping to throw him off and confuse him.

At that moment, she spun on her heels and ran back towards the bags, grasping them and running. She would also multiply, three different figures taking different paths, the real one continuing straight, although the others were there to try and be distractions.

Jay's instincts proved correct and with a smooth motion, he used a simple substitution with one of the bags of jewels, causing it to inevitably explode in a display of shiny fireworks as the dagger ruptured the bag. His crimson eyes narrowed and he shot the arrow just under the revealed woman, infusing it with a decent amount of ice crakra. As it hit the ground the chakra would release a pulse around the immediate area, freezing the airborne water particles, found in every droughtless environment. With that, her feet would quickly freeze and he would quickly close the distance between them and move to disarm her while she surely grew confused with the speed at which everything seemed to happen.

The woman would have given a loud scream as the bag of jewels wasn't in her grasp, drawing her dagger once more as she ran. But once her feet were frozen over, she dropped the one bag she did have and let out a screech. Her left hand, the free one, would grasp the necklace and tear it off her neck before throwing it downwards. The dinged up necklace would fly towards the ground and on contact with the ground, the purple gem would shatter.

With his right hand holding onto her left hand, he was close enough to notice her intentions and stop them. To do this, he had to drop his bow, his left, now being free he moved and grabbed her wrist before she could toss the amulet down. "That's enough!" With some precise manipulation, he carefully froze her arm movements by freezing the blood inside her arms(1). This was dangerous though as there was a very short window that this could be safe. Keeping the fluidity of his movements, he swept her feet from under her, his ice turning into water as they were sent into ground below, where he would undo his technique and straddle her, his hold on her wrists strong enough to keep her from doing anything further, her other dagger a bit out of reach at this moment.

There was a loud scream of mixed anger and fear as she lost control of her arms and her feet were taken out from underneath her. Her plan to destroy the amulet was foiled, her face twisted in rage. But as she fell onto her back, her struck her head against the ground, and with a grunt she conveniently passed out. The amulet thudded against her chest and slid onto the ground next to her.

Jay grunted as he fell atop her, but could only be surprised as she was rendered unconscious. He looked down at her, quickly developing a deadpan expression as he had quickly grown accustomed to her anger and rage. He checked her vitals and checked the back of her head for any hints of blood. Despite whether it was bleeding or not, he decided he would take her to the hospital, pulling the amulet from her possession and pocketing it. "There was no reason for you to put this much of a fight." He muttered to himself before flowing through a few seals and using the moisture in the air to bind her hands together, as well as her feet(1). After he did that he picked her weapons up, collected the scattered jewels and pocketing them as well as the undamaged bag and walked back to her and picked her up. Thoughts of whether to return the jewels filled his mind, but he wouldn't think too much about it as he hopped up to the roof and made his way to Carne Village's local hospital.

When he got to the hospital, there were a few questions asked, but not many thanks to his armor and the Guild having been alerted about the mission. Once the woman was into custody, Jay had a choice to make. He could make off with the Jewels and the amulet, keep only one of the items, or return them both back to their owners.

Answered the questions asked of him, telling of his mission, leaving out some details and left the woman in their care, the authorities already inbound. But back to the matter at hand, as he left the hospital, he was once again weighing the option of returning the jewels, already knowing he had to return the amulet to complete his quest. Deciding against being just like the young woman he just stopped, he made a detour to the woman that owned the jewels. At this point, she was still in the process of cleaning her shop of the mess, a dejected look on her face. He softly cleared his throat as he knocked on the threshold. "Ma'am, sorry about what happened."

The woman blinked at him, before her lips turned into a smile,"Thank you so much!" She would take the jewels back before moving behind the counter of her store quickly. There was a shuffling noise before she'd pop back up again, tossing a pouch to the man,"There, thank you again!"

20 Crystals Gained.

Jay wasn't glad to see a smile on the woman's face, catching the bag of crystals in surprise, not having expected a reward for that. He didn't question it however and waved at her. "No problem ma'am, be careful okay." He told her before leaving her to her business, pocketing the crystals as he made his way to the antique shop to complete his quest.

When he got there, he entered with a grin, more relaxed than before. A thought in the back of his mind, reminded him that he would need to clean his arrows when he got some free time.
"Getting this back was harder than I was expecting." He said, more to relieve the man of any tension of worry than to joke around. He lifted the amulet from his pocket as he walked up to the counter, the old man clearly awaiting him this whole time.

The old man would look at the man as he came in, a smile on his face,"Is that so?" He took the amulet and would raise it in front of his face,"Intangibility... Ridiculous." There was a gleam in his eyes that made it almost seem like he knew what the amulet was actually capable of. He would look at the man, and then nod his head,"This thing has caused me nothing but trouble... Maybe it'd be better in the hands of an adventurer." He smiled coyly,"Tell me, lad, are you interested in this amulet?"

'Well sh*t.' His mind echoed as he wondered about the game the old man was playing. This could be some more karma coming his way, which was always good. He offered the man a smiled and bowed his head. "I would be honored to accept the amulet, sir. It's true, it would be safer, since another thief could very well return to cause more problems for you." He didn't want anything to happen to the old man and wished for his well being, like any good Samaritan would.

The man's lips turned into a suddenly greedy smile,"Then how about we call the reward a wash and you toss me.... Fifteen Crystals and you can consider it yours?" It seems that not everything in this world is free.

Had no qualm with giving the man the crystals he wanted. He already had plans for the amulet, and had seen and studied about it enough to know how to use it justly. He gave the man the 15 crystals of the 20 the woman had given him. "Pleasure doing business with you." He smiled as he retrieved the amulet, holding it up to his eye level, looking straight into the gemstone, as if promising the first Hero that used it that he wouldn't disappoint him.
