| Rising Tides |

Shadow leaned on the gunwale of the ship with his forearms while his hands swayed slowly off the side. His gaze was set to the East as the sun colored the sky a beautiful array of colors. He was waiting for the rest of the 'crew' to get here and they needed to with haste. The sooner they set sail the greater the amount of water they could cover while taking advantage of the ample wind.

[-----------Ship Description-----------]

The brunneous color of the ships mahogany shell was linked to that of the tattered dark sails that wavered in the winds of the sea. Accompanying the already demeaning theme were seven coal colored canons on each side of the ship underneath the main deck. The deckhouse jutted upward from the foredeck and steeped into a curve over the waters. Under the deckhouse was a pure metallic naval ram shaped to resemble that of an axe head.

The Machinist made his way toward the ship that was soon to set sail. He had caught word of an expedition to the east, and couldn't help but join up. He was sure that the spoils of the trip would be rich, whether in materialistic items or in knowledge. Either way he knew he would regret it if he didn't come along.

As he arrived at the port, he set the large bag that he was carrying down for a moment to make sure that his Bandanna was securely tightened before recovering the bag from the ground and throwing it over his shoulder, making his way to and onto the ship, looking for the one who was responsible for the start of this expedition. He spotted him leaning on the gunwhale, and made his way over to him. "Evening, should I call you captain?" he chuckled as he recovered a smoke from his pack, that was tucked away in his pocket. He grabbed a lighter from the other side, "You mind?" he respectfully asked, before lighting the smokery.

Shadow expelled a small 'heh' from his mouth at the mans playful question as he turned to face him. Already dressed for the part Shadow thought to himself as he looked over Ichirou. This was good for him as he didn't want to spend time wasting on explaining pirate dress code. At the second question Shadow shrugged lightly and moved his right hand sideways with a weak flick of his wrist. "During the time we are on this ship we will be masquerading as a pirate crew. So the answer is yes to both questions. The more you act like one the better. So long as it doesn't undermine the intentions of this trip."

His eyes moved over to look upon the bag he brought with him. "What items did you bring along with you? We have to make sure supplies are in stock before we set sail."

Ichirou lit his cigarette, returning the lighter to his pocket before replying, "Well, captain it's loaded with a bit of this and that. A few weeks worth of emergency rations, just in case. Plenty of drinkable water to go along with that. Outside of that it's mostly some of my mechanical contraptions. Item launchers and things of the like. Figured i'd make sure I had some nice artillery to bring along on the trip, just in case we needed it." he puffed on the cigarette as he spoke. "Are we to run this ship by ourselves? Or do you have a crew on board with you, you know. Below the deck and what not." he chuckled a bit. Finding humor in their masquerade, even though it was an understandable one, and one he would take more seriously once they had actually set sail.

Nodded as Ichirou spoke. "Good. The extra artillery will come in handy as sea warfare is heavily reliant on it. As will the extra rations of food and water. I stocked the ship's stores already so we'd only need yours if something happened to them."

He patted the wood of the ship. "Right now it's you and I until the rest of the crew arrives. It won't be more than a small group on this trip. Good thing the ship will mostly run itself without our help. Only thing we need worry about most is the path to get there."

"Well that's good to hear, Who's gonna navigate this birdy?"he inquired as he  finishe his cigarette, wrapping incinerating it with Katon chakra and leaning upon the gunwhale as well. "I've got a nack for explosives, I can pre-prepare some highly volatile -but safe to us of course- loads for our cannons, provided we have any. I'm just assuming." he offered up more of his expertise to make sure that they would have a safe trip. Especially with a small team, the threats of the Ocean were big and small alike and Ichirou surely didn't intend to get swallowed up in them. Not now not never.

Pirate cover. It had been ages since she had donned her swashbuckler's gear and taken to the seas. While the winds in the sands were powerful and could offer one the thrills of adventure that a heart may desire, the winds of the sea were filled with flavors that heralded back to her homeland and youth. She had packed her things and headed out to the port city as swift as she could make arrangements. Taking lodgings, she spent one last night upon dry land resting through the night after a hearty meal. That next day she opened a scroll and activated the seal that produced her attire for the occasion from its weaves. Ever the fan of traveling light, she carried most of her belongings within several scrolls. After packing up, taking some breakfast, and settling her bill, she would leave the inn and proceed to the docks.

The long walk gave her reason to recall why she preferred to go barefoot; her knee-high, hard-soled boots she currently wore felt heavy and confining. Still, they did give her an odd swagger that caused her open overcoat of dark brown hues to flounce a bit about her legs as she walked. Even though her hair was plaited into numerous long braids with those about her face gathered at the back of her head to avoid obscured vision, something that had taken her hours to accomplish, it still hung down to the small of her back. From time to time one could see the long bladed dagger she kept belted at her left hip; the scabbard of which was strapped to her thigh remained secure so as not to bounce about or get caught on things during movement. For a blouse she had chosen a loose fitting cotton shirt of tan that was tucked into the black trousers that would complete her attire. There too would be tucked in, though to the tops of her old and well worm boots. Eventually she caught sight of the ship heading directly to the gangplank. The vessel was just as described and a quick awakening of her sensory ability told her that Shadow was on board.

The gang plank bounced slightly from the weight of her person in rhythm to the gait she used and as she came to the top she would grab the rail and halt.
"Permission to come on board Captain!"

Masane had arrived last. She walked up on Ichirou's left. She certainly was not dressed as a pirate. Then again she had no clue how to be a pirate. Great day to learn.
Her figure was covered by her paper-made cloak. Underneath said cloak were her various tools including a bag of rations.
She did not know what she would need other than food. All of the weapons they would need she could create.
Ammo for what cannons they may have and perhaps a bit of siding to add armor to the ship. All could be created though her Koton.
She scanned the crew stopping her gaze on the one that seemed to be capitan.

"Room for one more"?

She began to wonder if she would need to use phrases like "Ahoy matey." Or "Arrrrrg". There was little chance she would do so. If anything she would simply remain silent.

Standing at the top of the gangplank, she would turn to see the red head woman suddenly appear already on board. She looked about the railings thinking there must have been more than one leading from the docks to the ship other than the one she currently occupied. Curious.

Shadow felt the weight of the ship flutter ever so slightly with the additional persons now coming aboard. Right when he was about to reply to Ichirou his attention switched over the the modulated voice of Kayenta upon the gangplank. "Aye Lassie!" His lips curved at the edges into a smile as he walked along the deck with an outstretched hand. "This!" Shadow exclaimed as he motioned his hand in a reveal fashion. "Is how your attire should look!" He smiled playfully once more before letting his arm settle at his side. He had hoped Kayenta didn't mind being the poster child for what a pirate should look like.

His brow happened to raise as Masane entered stage from the left. He too was a bit curious as to how she got aboard. Perhaps she had jumped from the aft deck that was roped to the other side of the port? It didn't really matter much. His face lit up once more to greet her with a comment to her clothing choice. "Always room for more! However..." He pointed towards Kayenta once more. "You'll need to talk to her to fix your garb in order to accompany us on this voyage." Shadow's own attire hadn't been changed yet, but at the current moment his main priority was to ensure all crew members were to be on deck as they set off.

"Once all the members are here we will go over all the details before we're off. Double check to make sure whatever you want to bring is with you. We will not be turning around."

Ichirou's eyes fell upon the new arrivals to the ship, noting the rather pirate like apparel of one of the two females, Might as well kick it up a notch.. he though to himself, utilizing his Shikigami no Mai to alter the appearance of his clothing. His clothes would turn white, appearing to be millions of squares stacked atop one another before they would all begin to maneuver, changing shape and adding to his clothing. Once they had finished they resumed color once again, giving Ichirou a much more fitting attire for the appearance of a pirate.

He spun around in his new attire, looking over his shoulder to examine and make sure everything was in place before lifting his back from the deck and speaking to Shadow, Oi Cap'in, where can I store me belong'ins? his accent thickening as he spoke. Making sure he was nice and deep into character before the expedition began. Though in all honesty he didn't quite understand the purpose behind such a charade, who were they dressing up for? Either way, he assumed it bore some sort of purpose and decided he'd rather enjoy it than complain. The held the heavy bag over his shoulder as he waited for Shadow's response.

She had indeed jumped aboard the ship. This was a spur of the moment thing for her. She had been walking by and simply heard bits of the verball exchange between Shadow and Ichirou.
"I was passing by and couldn't help but hear some things."  As she was told about her attire, she made use of her paper just as Ichirou did in order to look the part. She had no idea what pirates wore so she took bits and pieces from what she saw before her.
"Thank you capitan."She said as she offered a slight nod. She would need to work of the accent. For her the cover of being a pirate did not strike the question 'why'. She did not care why. She just wanted to go and try new things. Setting out to sea was definitely new for her.

When the declaration for a voyage across the Eastern Ocean was shared with the Kirigakure council, Dāto had immediately volunteered to represent the village. After all, it would only be fitting that an island inhabitant and Mist denizen would accompany the travelers. However, representing the village wasn't the only reason why the Dai-Gensui had volunteered. He had long been dreaming of sailing East to discover what may lie out in the open ocean abyss. He had just been too wrapped up in the politics and paperwork to escape from the village island's borders. Now was a chance for him to achieve his goal. Those would be the reasons why the auburn-haired, muscled brute could be found walking through the crowded pier in search for the described ship.

Fortunately for him, his genetic pool had gifted him with a decent height so he was able to see over most of the crowd. He stood at a height of 6' 2" and weighed in at 210 lbs now, most (if not all) of this weight would be the obvious muscle that was clearly being boasted by his attire. He wore a simple pair of ash gray fisherman trousers trimmed with a navy blue hem that hung just off his hips, proudly displaying his toned adonis belt (V line). To ensure his breeches didn't fall completely off, a black leather ring belt riddled with various pouches secured the material to his pelvis. His arms and torso were brazenly bare save for a loosely laced navy blue pirate vest. It's partial opening gave a teasing glance into his finely chiseled chest and abdomen. It also managed to reveal an ancient scar that stretched from the middle of his right collarbone to just below his left pectoral. Tattooed on his powerful right shoulder would be the insignia for the ANBU Corps. and on his left would be the kanji, 秋, which means "Autumn". His black leather boots would scrape the wooden planks lightly as he weaved through parts of the crowd that did not part from his path. Securing his auburn hair and also working to hide the teal diamond on his forehead would be an ash gray bandana. The insignia for Kirigakure was embroidered in navy blue and say directly in the middle of his forehead. A black leather eyepatch also covered his right eye though it didn't appear to hinder his ability to see, his left eye was a bright emerald green.

His piercing gaze roamed over the various patrons while he pondered on just who would be joining in this adventure. He didn't immediately see anyone he recognized but he expected that. Nonetheless, he hadn't come unprepared. Sheathed, wrapped together, and being carried on his left shoulder would be the Fujaku Hishō Shōken (Weaknessless Soaring Shortswords) while in his right hand he carried a tan leather duffle bag that occasionally rattled with the sound of metal and glass. Luckily for him, the sight of this large, muscled man carrying weaponry and an odd bag helped to disperse the crowd in his path so he was able to reach the ship quicker than originally thought. He definitely was able to spot the rig and it was sure a beauty to behold. As he drew near the gangplank, he couldn't help but notice that a small contingent of people had already began to gather on the deck.

The first person he perceived was the red-headed female that swirled with paper. It was a curious sight to behold as her attire seemed to change within the flurry. The Mist denizen pondered on the ability he just perceived but really he was interested in the female's heritage. Could she be a lost Terumī? Chances are, she was of an Uzumaki lineage, though. That clan really crawled out of the woodworks this past year. Next to her stood a young gentleman who appeared to be about her age though he too was oddly addressed. A bit superfluous on the pirate garb but it would suffice, Dāto assumed. Next to the two younger adults, the Dai-Gensui spotted what appeared to be the Captain of the ship. He was adorned in an admiral's trench coat and stood quite confident of himself as he spoke with the gathered entourage. Drawing ever closer to the gangplank now, his gaze would shift to the other who stood at its end. His heart leapt a little and an excited grin would dance on his lips.

There standing before him was none other than the beauty Lady Kazekage Kayenta Moenkopi though she hardly looked like her regular self. Still, you cannot hide those luxurious tresses and shimmering eyes so easily. She appeared to be quite healthy and eager to board the ship while decked out in the most pirate fashioned all of gathered. She looked like she belonged on a ship and could easily command such. “Well, this shall be an interesting adventure now, won't it?” he would call out to her as he closed the gap between the two. It was comforting to know that a familiar face would be on board. :o

It was pretty easy to notice the retired Uzumaki Leader, The Famous Uzumaki Warrior of The Uzumaki Clan, for several reasons. In a crowd of people, Athos always stuck out like a sore thumb because the man stood at a towering six feet and seven inches, having only ever met one person who was taller than him and that was his older brother, Kirk. Now, taking his height into consideration, the man's crimson hair, that looked akin to silk, stretched down to his ankles. It was a great length but the man wore it exceptionally, and it only ended to the endless charm and level of attractiveness that oozed from the man. Without clothing on, the man's body was detailed and chiseled to lengths that very, very few were. There wasn't a sickening amount of detail or muscle, the man was almost like this realm's version of a Greek God, especially in his face. And to top it off, he had powerful golden hues, that showed countless years of experience, leadership experience, and passionate strength all behind an encouraging gaze.

That being said, Athos had been invited onto the ship by the man running this expedition. He was well aware of the fact that they'd be pretending to be pirates, but that didn't really change his clothing of choice. The towering stature of the man, whose chakra pool could be felt by any sensors due to it's size, came walking along the dock that the ship was currently resting. Honestly, he had been a pirate in his youth, so getting back into the role wouldn't be too hard. He already had tanned skin from time in the desert, seeing as he had been pale looking in his early teens. On his left arm, from the back of his hand and up to his shoulder, was a Tattoo, which was actually a Fuinjutsu. Worked into the Fuinjutsu, on the back of the hand as well, was the Zebul Seal, a Kinjutsu of his creation.

Athos was dressed within a pair of black pants, with no shoes or socks on his feet, and yet they still had managed to stay completely clean from any dirt. Covering the man's wonderful body was, if you can believe it, a Hawaiian Shirt. It was different shades of blue, flowers across the whole shirt, giving him the look of a tourist. On the back of his waist was a scroll about half the size of a Sage's Scroll, where all his belongings and weapons were being held within various seals. Behind the sunglasses on his face, his eyes gleamed as he saw Kayenta standing on the Gangplank. That was a face he hadn't seen in some time, though he had seen Asadi not too long ago, and he felt himself grinning widely. But with her blocking the way up, and it looking like Dart was about to start conversation with her while she was blocking the way up, he looked up at the boat.

He took in it's length, size, details, and so on and so forth. Nodding his head approvingly, he bent his knees slightly before jumping up into the air. With soft thuds, his feet would come to land on the top deck of the ship, golden hues already have taken in everyone who was up on the deck. He knew... Well, he knew everyone. As he spoke, it showed that his voice matched his body, strong, loud but not overwhelming, and oozing charm,"Oi, Shadow! I thought you and I were running away together, what's with all these other sorry types?" Of course, the grin on his face as he walked over towards the group of people talking showed that he was teasing the lot of them.

Kayenta brought up a concern I had with how we post in this thread. With everyone going in turn it can be difficult for someone who is the target of many others to post a reply.

In this case I'll use myself. I have to write a reply to about all of you since I was talking to Icirou, Masane, and pointed out Kayenta and then Athos on top of that.

So to keep from having to reply to 23343 other people's posts we'll be changing over to 'once a round' This means that if you post you have to then wait until everyone else posts to post again like normal, but there is no order.

Example:

4th round:

Shadow
Ichirou
Athos
Jay
Kayenta
Dart
Masane

And the 5th could look like:

Athos
Shadow
Jay
Ichirou
Masane
Dart
Kayenta

Once Jay posts (and/or conker/asadi) we will switch over to this new system.

Hopefully if I understand and explained this correctly we'll be able to have more fluent interaction.
