Masane just stood there watching as the crew began to expand. She listened quietly to the many words exchanged between the crew. The girl said nothing as she gazed about the faces if the ship.
After a few moments she moved to the front of the vessel and pondered about her roll here. It did not matter to her though blowing things up was literally a talent she was born with.
For now she would remain quiet and should the need for something to be blown up arrive, she'd be ready.
As for the food, she would more than likely catch her own food. The Uchiha was eager to see where this adventure would lead the crew.

Or would it? No one could drive you crazy like family and Asadi's reply always made her laugh. Ah well, some bits never got old. Tease him though she would, she respected him as she did no other. But leave it to the brothers to take up all the best jobs; Asadi on high with the best view and Athos as the chesty sailor. There was nothing for it; she would stay on deck and keep her shirt on. As she laughed she waved up to her husband, "Yes my Lord, anything you say."

With a huge grin upon her faze she said to Dart, "It certainly does, my old friend. I haven't felt this excited about a voyage in years, can't wait to see what we run into first." Seeing as she was there to work, when Shadow said it was time to set sail she too would begin undoing mooring lines then headed over to the wench for the anchor. The crank was set up in such a way as one person could lift the massive weigh with but a turn of the crank. Within in minutes she would have the anchor up and secured in place all ready to set sail. While she worked she considered what sort of food she would eat from the sea. Having grown up on an island kingdom, she was raised upon all that the sea had to offer, however her travels and subsequent years in the desert had separated from her native fair. It would be a real treat, therefore, to feed upon what bounty the oceans could provide. She then passed by the self proclaimed chef at the mast she commented, "Truthfully there is nothing that doesn't go good with a good curry blend. If you've need of any spices just ask." The woman never went on the road without a well stocked assortment of seasonings.

Shadow sauntered towards the deckhouse as they finally departed from the docks deciding not to partake in anymore banter for now. Inside the 'house' was lined with windowpane mostly towards the front where it jutted out over the water. Where there was no glass the walls were lined with a few paintings and documents secured in frames. Just in front of the large viewing window was a hearty desk made of the same wood as the ship and around it was at least one chair for each side. Upon the desk lay a large map and other rolled up parchments. To the immediate right of the entrance was the small staircase that led to the under deck. And from the floor to the ceiling next to that was a filled bookcase full of any and all knowledge on the Eastern Continent and events of other worldly happenings.

Shadow leaned against the table with both hands before scanning over the map. They had departed from Kumogakure to cross the sea despite Kirigakure having a close access point to the South of the continent however this area had already been explored due to said closeness. On the map Shadow had written down in red ink where the ocean reached halfway. This point was where they were headed. The cold and desolated area had tales of a city underneath the ice that was guarded by a behemoth of a sea creature. He hoped the crew weren't expecting a trip to a tropical island. At least not just yet. He was here for adventure. The lazy sleep inducing heat would come after. Once this continent and all it's secrets were revealed.

Ichirou would position himself atop the Deckhouse, facing the sails as the ship began to leave port, weaving a few seals he would release from his Maw a Gentle yet strong current of wind via the Great Breakthrough technique.

He did this in order to increase their speed efficiently but also safely, his control over Futon allowing him to progressively increase the strength of the wind as the ship picked up it's pace, the water slapping against the wood as they pierced small waves.

Other than the very few responses, nobody seemed to be as hungry as he was. It mattered not to the raven haired male as he flapped his wings a few times in preparation. He looked towards his sensei as he began to speak. "What I have in mind is going to be better." At least, that was his opinion.

He turned his head towards Kayenta, fully appreciating her offer of spices. He had yet to even see the kitchen, so he was thankful for the offer. "Thank you so much. I'll find you when I return." He told her as he began his ascent.

He would change his attention to the older male in the crow's nest. He didn't know the man personally, or the woman, but he knew them as the brother and sister-in-law to Athos,  respectively. As he grew level with the nest, his nostrils were assaulted by the scent of liquor. Oh how he wished for his own bottle of rum. "Any suggestIIOONNSS!?" He would yelp out as his wings caught the buffering winds of the Great Breakthrough, causing him to veer away from the drunken king.

He flapped his wings with the force necessary to balance himself. His golden hues looked down at Ichi, before returning towards Asadi. "Sorry about that." The Nara would listen to whatever the king had to say, only then would he fly off towards the open sea, with the ship following.

He could only smile at her excitement and then she was off to man the sails. He chuckled lightly and glanced around as the others took up different positions and shifts on and below the deck. With a small shrug, he would head down to below decks. Time to find his bunk and secure his gear if he was going to be any help at a later date.

The sudden gust of wind didn't catch the man off guard. He muttered silently as he held his hood in place with his left hand before turning his gaze to the winged man. "S'okay." With that, he took a drink from his bottle, turning his gaze below as the people worked their magic to get the ship moving.

Sail began to bellow and unfurl as the ship was untied and anchor hoisted. It seemed he'd become a glorified lookout without intentionally trying to do so. He shrugged and leaned back onto the railing, his arms propped behind him on it. The weather looked great, it was hoped it would stay that way.

Athos would have come to stand at the deck, his hair resting at the center of his back(it may had been stated as longer earlier in the RP, don't mind the tweak :D )and flowing partially down his back and over his shoulders. He knew where they were going already, seeing as he secretly planned to steer the ship the whole time, so he easily led the ship along their intended path.

Once they were out of the docks and clear of land, he man touched his right hand to the scroll on his back and in a poof of smoke would appear a silver flask within his hand. Inside was a deep brown liquid that would most likely kill anyone that wasn't of his bloodline. He took a long swig of the deadly contents and let out a long, content breath, the smell possibly crossing the whole upper deck, at least for a few moments, before being cast off backwards in the wind.

Moenkopi lifted her arm and waved in response to the self-proclaimed fisherman before heading to the deck house to grill Shadow about their course. She liked to be in the know about things, although not opposed to little surprises here and there. Upon entering, she would find him leaning over a huge map upon the table and she would greet him with her query. "Mind if I get a bit more information on what our course will be Shadow?" Most everything had been vague on details when she had received the missive concerning this expedition. The lack of information had not been enough to deter her from tagging along.

Even with the hush hush nature of the Eastern Expedition, there were those who kept a watchful eye upon the seas and all the comings and goings at the various port of calls throughout the realm. Captain Bartholomew Perdrake, otherwise know as The Red Dragon due to the distinct coloration of his beard in contrast to his black mane of hair, was just such a man. You didn't get to be the Captain of a pirate ship unless you had a precise set of skills at your command. You had to know the seas, how to be bold and decisive in battle, and have skill in navigating and seamanship. Not only that, you had to have the personality to keep your crew in line. And still, your place of authority was not guaranteed. If the crew thought you were not bold enough, they would elect a new Captain. If they thought you were too reckless, if they just didn't kill you right out, you also could be replaced. Apparently The Red Dragon was doing a spectacular job for he had run this crew and their compliment of ships, for over a decade. And that required being able to practically smell treasure on the wind. Yet another reason why he was called the dragon.

From the Captain's cabin at the back of his brigantine, The Lucky Lady, Perdrake had to chortle.
"Ninja taking to the seas? There must certainly be more on the table than just the desire to explore." He could not imagine why they would band together unless there was great wealth to be had. At that moment his Quartermaster came in to make a report. Second in power only to the captain, Vincenzo, shut the door behind him and took up a seat in one of the chairs opposite the captain's desk. He was an imposing man, by all accounts, used to commanding the crew and dealing out punishments to those who committed crimes. A veteran of many a ship boarding, he was respected as much as he was feared. "The vessel is just out of sight and by all accounts doing nothing to change its course, Bart. Clearly they have no idea they are being trailed."

The two pirates had been in league with each other for nearly 20 years and were inseparable and for this Bartholomew was blessed. The last thing he needed was a right hand man who would stir the crew up against him. No, they held absolute loyalty to one another each having saved the life of the other more times than they could recall. But it was the crew who were undoubtedly blessed, for not only were they run by most skilled officers, but The Lucky Lady was a top of the line vessel that fit their every need. Being a three masted brigantine, she weighed in at 150 ton and was 80 foot long boasting a max crew of about 100 pirates. Currently they were running with 80 but that was more than enough to meet their needs. Boasting 10 cannon, she had just had her hull careened to clear it of seaweed and other marine life. Although she was not rigged with lateen sails, being square-rigged on the foremast with a gaff-rigged mainsail and square rig above it, the addition of three sails off the spiritbow ensure she would reach top speed. What more could a crew desire? Loot, and lots of it.

"See to it that we remain out of sight for now, can't have the little birdies getting spooked before they lead us to treasure now, can we?" The two exchanged a short amused laugh before the quartermaster left to go about his duties leaving the captain to ponder just what might have drawn the ninja from land. It surely had to be prize worthy.

As time passed, Masane repositioned herself atop the mast. She stood with her arms crossed as usual and her crimson optic upon the vast sea before her. Just like the unknown pirates she wondered what this trip was about. The suspense however added even more thrill to the event. She resisted her curiosity biting back all her inquiries .
The girl had never set out to sea before. She had no idea what to expect from this. So far it was turning out to be a pleasant experience. The only downside was the harsh smells of the marine environment. The young Uchiha had favored the Inuzuka techniques and as a result she constantly focused chakra into her nose to increase her sense of smell. She would not break her ways due to the terrible smells the winds kicked up. She would take it all in. The salty air, the sour fish aroma and even the slight hint of a pungent body odor.
Of course at first this would  not stand out to her. As the wind carried the sneaky looters after the crew of ninja, it also carried with them their scent among others. Masane had long turned her eyes to the sky having no knowledge of the source of anything she smelled. She would simply stare up at the sky lost in the beauty of the sea.

Shadow looked over to Kayenta as she entered the cabin and stepped to the side to allow her a optimal view of the map. Knowing Kayenta he'd guess that she would fill in most of the blanks if there were any. She was regarded by himself as a historian among all the other titles she held. Though lore and history had long been known to be closely intertwined with falsehood in many situations. That's what they were here for to see if this was to be held as true or no.

"We're headed due East of Kumogakure." His finger tapped lightly on the red kanji. "This area in particular may have something to check out if the lore holds up." His eyes darted to the window panes that lined the cabin as he stared as if listening to some unheard voice out on the sea. A slight moment of stern expression covering his face. This passed quickly however and a smile replaced it once more as he gazed back to her "What is there I can only speculate, but they say a monster calls it home." Quite generic if you were to ask him personally, but that's how most tales were told. Still his eyes once more returned to look out over the sea as he seemed to be contemplating something inside. A light tap of his left hand upon the wood of the table sending an ever so slight vibration to the hull of the ship.

The Nara, no longer being on the ship, grew rather carefree as he flew over the ocean with powerful beats of his large blackened wings. He soared and looked at the clear blue waters below, knowing that in a matter of moments, he would be in a part of the ocean where the runs ran extremely deep. Deep enough for him to make his dive and find them something to eat. He didn't think anything of hunting for others, just as much as himself. It wouldn't be the first time and it definitely wouldn't be the last, he did have a family of course. Ocean hunting, wouldn't be any different either, but he couldn't deny the thrill of the immersion that elated him to a point that, if he wasn't careful, could very well leave him in quite a pickle.

These thoughts brought to mind the time he got swallowed by a whale, luckily he missed being bitten by any teeth, but it was quite the experience. He shuddered before he looked behind him, the ship was no longer in sight, but he didn't let that bother him, the mast held his mark, as well as his weapon. He wouldn't be getting lost at sea any time soon.

But with that said, it ascended higher just below the clouds and began to dive down. His wings fluttered away, leaving a trail of black feathers above him, just before they shattered as if they were glass. With his wings completely got, he began whooping from the freefall and just before the impact with the water, he shielded his frame with chakra. With the perfect dive and the chakra around him, the water's surface didn't even look as if it had been disturbed in the slightest.

The near naked Nara wasted little time, with a yellow tint glowing in his eyes, gills developed on both sides of his neck. His legs formed together and made a large dolphin-like tail. Without any worries about drowning or the any instances of being crushed under the pressure of the water, the man dived down at tremendous speeds. He was on the hunt for some delicious prey, and he was more than sure the waters had what he wanted.

Athos made sure that they were on the right track before he would take his hands from the wheel, letting the ship initiate 'Auto-Pilot Mode' for now. With that done, he let his golden hues cast around him, taking in all the sights. He saw Shadow and Kayenta speaking through a window or two, assuming it was about the trip ahead of them. He gave a wave to Ichirou as his eyes passed over his brother in arms, and a wink towards Masane because why not?

Though, his eyes settled upwards, towards someone he hadn't expected to even be here. Bending his knees, he would clear the distance between himself and his brother, flying towards the lookout. As if he had been walking on air, his feet would gracefully land on the railing next to his brother's arm, gaze on him,"Oi, ye bastard." Athos stated with an almost half-assed pirate accent, extending the silver flask towards his brother,"Drink with me."

Dāto finished packing away his duffel bag and tucked away his swords too. He had chosen a port side cabin and one of the few that were single bedded. He closed the door behind him, carving into the wooden door his name with chakra, and then proceeded upwards and outwards onto the deck. The ship had long sense made sail and they were making decent progress, as well. His eyes gazed at the various patrons atop the deck and he wondered on which he should converse with first.
