The only plot hole here is why didn't Obito send himself into his personal 'Kamui' dimension in order to escape that damage? You wouldn't have to use Izanagi when you can hide in your personal dimension to escape hairy situations. <<

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfaDfCAvaT0 Skip to about 55 seconds in.

He did not teleport for the very same reason Konan expected him to rely on intangibility in order to dodge the attack: he has to become tangible in order to warp, and he was surrounded by paper bombs already in Konan's control. In the anime, he had already been tagged by explosive tags before he could fully escape using kamui, requiring him to instead resort to intangibility, which, upon him seeing just how many tags she had, Obito realized was not going to be enough either in order to survive.

Or he heard Konan's boast, one of the two.

She had him surrounded with tags. The time that it took to escape via teleportation was not great enough to avoid taking some of the explosive buggers with him, so he had to go to plan B instead.

** The original topic was about potentially finding a new judge, to which I was put up as a potential candidate and I said I would be willing to do it. I am under the assumption that Trev is going to finish on this particular decision and then switches are going to happen? Correct me if I am wrong. **

Yeah Kamui I think that was literally the only part of that sequence that was not a plot hole.

I don't think he is Eric, Trev said he was stepping down immediately.

Correction, the only plot hole was the damage done to Obito prior to the activation of Izanagi. I mean, you would think that it would've negated that damage, but I guess the author just added it for dramatic plot development.

It's not hard to explain Izanagi, but it is hard to precisely calculate time limits and post limits in forum role-play. In a literal sense, Izanagi is a Waboku. (Yu-Gi-Oh reference.)

If Trev doesn't give his ruling before stepping down, it would fall on us to work this issue out or have Eric finish what Trev started. I suggested that we revise the action of Izanagi to only last that one post and after that I have an eye left to work with, along with a follow up action from one of my previous actions. Entirely up to you on what path you want to take, I highly suggest that we put our differences aside and continue on with this match, unless you want to stall this fight a bit longer.

Quote from: Athos
I understand the damage gets negated but each time Danzo gets hit he "dies" vanishes and then reappears. That takes a second so you wouldn't literally be running forward nonstop. That's all I mean.

Oh, no you wouldn't be a walking tank with the abilities of Izanagi. The damage will still chain to Izanagi and that damage simply becomes an illusion and I can continue on as of nothing happened. You can argue that you could use that window to counter attack, but like I said. I am also chaining Izanagi to *all* damage, which would have to resolve first before anyone tries to retaliate. If it lightens the burden on your shoulders, I will only get invulnerability that will come with a time limit of one post per eye. (Sage Mode or Senju genes doesn't change the post count. I am guessing everyone is cool with that? Never heard any agreement from anyone else, except from Athos.)

No that's just how Izanagi works it can't change something done before it was activated.

I accept your suggestion to do what I said we should do.

So, just to be entirely clear, the issue is with Kamui's last post when he uses Izanagi to dodge the many attacks at this point coming at him, right? The duration of the Izanagi SL-postwise and with the range that he is able to operate with it active?

Before posting any sort of ruling I don't want to be premature; what are the exact things with the post that are being challenged?

I do believe so, Eric. Unless there's more problems that need to be addressed? If there are, then I guess the polite thing to do would be to wait for the others to reply.

It was my understanding Kamui and I agree on how the duration and range will be working so I have no problems, we don't need a decision on that. So unless there is anything else we are ready to continue.

I find it distressing the other two hadn't chimed in about anything yet.

I don't have an opinion on the matter.
How can that be distressing to you?
