We get some sort of new sage mode, a jutsu that's equivalent to the Human Path's powers without the necessary death, and soon enough many other new stuff in the coming weeks/years.

Someone will try and claim it either way though.

Did anyone else notice how Mitsuki's Sage Mode looks a lot like Toneri's Tenseigan Chakra Mode?

It literally doesn't exist to be claimed, so I'd void someone just claiming the Human Path but without the disadvantage.

I didn't think that at all. Other than both having flared up hair, which is very common among anime powers up, I don't see many similarities. I think it's a bit of a stretch at this point in time to say they may be connected.
