Title: New Weapon System

Basics explaination, weapons will be devided into "Light Weapons", "All-rounded Weapons", & "Heavy Weapons".

Each category will have its own selection of weapons. Each weapon will have its own basic stat boost.

Instead of buying new weapons, you will refine your weapon to increase its attack. You get to keep your weapon after an Oro kill, but their refine rate will go back to 0.

Here is a basic list, (more weapons might be put into the game & survives the live test)
[Light Weapons]
Kodachi (atk 1, int 1)
Nunchaku (atk 1, dex 1)
Gloves (atk 1, str 1)

[All-rounded Weapons]
Katana (atk 1, str 1)
Staff (atk 1, wis 1)
Tsurugi (atk1, con 1)

[Heavy Weapons]
Zanbatou (str 2, con 1, spd -1)
Axe (Str 2, str 1, spd -1)
Spear (Str 2, wis 1, spd -1)

All weapons can be refine till +15. You will get a random stat bonus depending on your weapon's category. Your weapon will gain a stat bonus at +5, +10, & +15. The name of your weapon will also change, based on its stat.
[Light Weapons]
Refine bonus: spd+1, dex+1, int+1
Name bonus: Lightning, Swift, Hi-Tech

[All-rounded Weapons]
Refine bonus: str+1, dex+1, wis+1
Name Bonus: Hero's, Assassin's, Wise man's

[Heavy Weapons]
Refine bonus: atk+1, str+1, con+1
Name Bonus: Destructive, Heavy, Massive

For player who have gotten the KG reset, there are something special palnned for you guys. Rebirth players can purchase "Special Weapons" such as,
Lee's 3-Section-Heavy Nunchaku
Orochimaru's Kusanagi
Sasuke's Kusanagi
Hayate's Katana
Sandaime's Diamond Staff
Asuma's Trench Knives
Yondaime's Kunai

Refine bonus for special weapons: str+1, dex+1, con+1, int+1, wis+1
Name bonus for special weapons: -
Bonus get for special weapons: +3, +6, +9, +12, +15

Light weapons boost stats that increases speed. All-rounded weapons boost bits of everything (attack, defense, speed). Heavy weapons boost stat that increase attack, but lowers speed.

To increase the attack of your weapon & to gain more stat boost, you have to refine them. example: the stat for a Hero's Katana +15 might be (atk 16, str 3, dex+1). Since your weapon has more bonus "str", it will be recieve the name "Hero's". These bonuses will disappear after you slay Orochimaru. In order words, your Hero's Katana +15 might be (atk 16, str 3, dex+1) will turn back into Katana (atk 1, str 1).

Now do we choose the weapon we get, and if it resets and I dont like the weapon, say wanna go from light to heavy can i change after I have chosen?

Okay and what happens to the people that are lvl holding, there weapons?

If you don't like your current weapon, just trade-in your old weapon (the higher the refine, the more it is worth) & buy a new one anytime. The refine rates & stat bonuses will be reset when you buy a new weapon.

Being a sitter makes no different.

Oh I thought as you lvled the weapon was refined each lvl you gained, so how do you refine the weapon then?

I think it sounds really good  :D

Just to summarize, the new weapon system would:
         Buy a type of weapon based on your stats
         You would get +3 to certain stats based on your weapon, and KG players get +5
right?

Those with the Hyuuga KG cannot buy weapons... would they be able to access this?

I can buy weapons with Hachimon, but I don't need to.

To sum it up,
1) The weapon you choose will effect your stat.
2) Instead of selling your old weapon to get a new & stronger one, you buy a weapon & make it stronger by refining it.
3) You get +1 to certain stat based on the type of weapon you are using. When refining a light weapon to a certain rate, you might get spd+1 or dex+1 or int+1 randomly.
4) If you don't like what you get, just sell it, buy a new weapon & start over.
5) Special weapons are avaliable only to those with KG (except for Hyuuga & Kaguya).
6) Special weapons get more bonus stat than normal ones. But still, random chance of getting the stat you want.

Yeah, only people who joined Akatsuki get to collect souls, that sounds very imbalance. Only evil players can get the curse seal, that sounds very imbalance as well.

Learn what it means to be imbalance. Low level jutsu like Dokugiri (2 chakra) which kick just as many butts as high level jutsu like Ryuusa Bakuryuu (15 chakra), now that's imbalance. Which is why Oliver weakens it.

Well, there's a down-side to Akatsuki and the SST to even out the imbalances... so couldn't something be made for Hyuuga/Kaguya resetters?
Even though Hyuugas and Kaguyas have their Jyuuken/Bones, I still think they should get to use other weapons if they wanted to... I'd rather be able to buy weapons normally instead of have them increase in strength as we level up.

You will have to postpone that indefinately.

The item system has "equippables", but they don't work, and the system to make this cheat-proof is pretty ... hard. =) to say the least.

It seemed Neji was supporting the idea,thus I assumed it would be implemnted in the future. I dont see why im getting smited for making a comment which I later fixed.

I think we misinterpretted with the "Same Here" comment...which was refering to the "Delay indefintely" post in the "New Armor System" thread...I read this thread first though, and assumed "Same here" meant "I like this idea too"  oops

what about buying multiple weapons? switch for different advantages? could you name all your weapons? also, in pvp could those be randomized?
