I currently run a clan and try to make my clan unique and creative, yada, yada, yada. To do so, I add all sorts of things to the MoTD and description (if you're unsure what I mean, go check it out). In this process to do this, I've ran into one single problem: space. I've ran out of space in my MoTD and was forced to move some stuff to the description. Now I'm a few hundred chars or so away from filling that as well. Would it be possible (IF the server load isn't too much) to add some space to the clan MoTD and description? I dunno...say 1000-1500 chars to each.

Just out of the blue:
Can't you utilize a game forum to keep your news?
That way, in theory, your members would have to look at the website [as well as register] to see the news?
With that in mind, your members would be m,roe active than just to log into the clan halls, see the news, and skidaddle.
No, this time they'll take some extra time and go to another page to view what's going on.
Just my advice.

Forums never seem to even get half the clan there. It's also a hassle to set up a forum for something that'll only take up a few hundred chars.

Perhaps because the clan is inactive?
When I made a forums in a previus clan, all 60+ members joined.
Nevertheless, if you require more than the allowed space, you might just be putting too much.
Sum it up?
Or keep some color codes out.

We're active, no doubt. A forum is just not the same as a clan MoTD/description. It's outside of the game. People will go to the clan halls everyday, many will forget that there's a forum they need to type into their browser and go to.
Everything I have is relevant and significant to my clan (no little "hey what's up guys" or any of that junk). It doesn't take a bunch of spam and nonsense to fill up 4000 chars. The limit seems to come close fast when you put in a lot of effort and thought. Now I would take the color codes out, but color codes keep things organized, neat, and attention-getting. I see them vital to any clan description and MoTD.
What is the added server load of adding 1500 chars onto the clan MoTD and description?

And, with that in mind, I suppose none of that can be sent out in mail and archived, correct? Be too much of a hassle.
Nevertheless, my whole thought of Neji installing 1,500+ more charecters seems gray-shaded, So I cannot say what he'll be doing.
And, I suppose you're correct on the fact that people will visit the clan halls more often than the forums, worked for me, but I suppose it does not apply to everyone.

I agree with Taumaster somewhat, but what I would prefer would be a a third section instead of just increasing the size of the current two.
Jamming lots of info into the MotD is rather annoying because you have to scroll down to read and talk in the clan halls.
MotD is for updates isn't?
I think a section below the talkline that is only seen by clan members would be useful to avoid the situation mentioned above and to store info such as dwellings, clan rankings, and rules. Some could be put in clan description, but some clans would rather be discrete?
