I recently petitioned to have my character restored and received a message from a moderator asking for me to delete my current character that had the same name as my previously deleted account. My question is how will I be notified as to if my character is restored or not? Would it be via email or how would I be notified?

It will go to the email registered to the account the you wish to have restored.

There is - after a restoral - an email automatically generated and sent to the account holder's email.
