I joined Akatsuki just to see what would happen, but I'm scared that they will take away my innocence 

Will I become evil if I stay with them cause I don't want to be evil?

Maybe...I was hoping I could be the nice guy of the group    You know.  Carry their luggage or something 

But on a serious note:  Can I still maintain a good character while in Akatsuki or is that impossible?

Aaah...I've never thought about the opposite alignment because I've always been evil...but you could always try it if you really want to be good...

Most like the other events in the game, even if they do screw you over in some ways, some good comes out of Akatsuki...so you must consider that when you join up.

TIP:Just look at how many of the more "Advanced" members are in akatsuki, and then make your choice

That doesn't explain how my character just went from Good to Evil in a few minutes of joining

Yup, it drives you more towards evil. You'll have to play around with your alignment to change it again.
