Rin disscussion *Spoilers*:

During the Kakashi Gaiden, Rin was Kakashi and Obito's teammate. But, after the gaiden there is no mention of what happened to Rin.
Here, let's discuss possible theories on what happened to her (where did she go, is she alive, ect.).

~ Rin isn't 'the ANBU chick' -> Uzuki Yugao.
~ Nor is she the last remaining Akatsuki member.

Another point:

~ Kakashi stated that everyone close to him had died, so that most likely eliminates her being presumed alive by Kakashi, unless she did something traitorous.

i heard she has something to do with akatsuki. maibe shes the leader. maibe the leader is a girl .

That would be an unusual twist... Like she was the Orochimaru of the legendary Sannin. :shock:

I don't think the Akatsuki Leader is a girl...from what they've shown of his face (namely, his eyes, hair, nose, and chin), I think we can assume that the AL is male...

The other unknown Akatsuki person is definitely female, though. The blue haired one. (Either she's female, or she's one hell of a trap character o_O)

Just a thought, but when Kakashi said eveyrone close to him as died, it could be meant as both figurativly and literally. Some/Most of his close friends could have just flat-out died, but some of them could also figurativly die, and in this case, Rin could be included. Like, after experiencing the events, Rin could have completely changed and her personality did a 180 turn, and in that way, the real Rin died... I don't konw, I could be grasping for straws here, but to me, she seems too much of an interesting character to be killed flatout and without any explanations...

I think Rin is the reason Kakashi gained his Mangekyou but he never used it until it was really necessary.

erm... I'm tinkin' dat Rin being the mysterious (presumed) female of the Akatsuki is more likely... I mean, Kakashi's not really the type to kill someone for power... and also, what's with the delay for the Mangekyou? He may have felt responsible for Obito's death, but Kakashi'd have grasped that quite awhile ago, and should have developed it...

As for Rin... I'd like to see a twist of her being one of the Akatsuki... but if she's dead, oh well...

It is entirely possible for rin to still be alive for these reasons
1.A clear death for her was not shown or explained
2.There is a grave for obito, but not for rin
3.Kakashi always ask to be forgiven by obito and not rin
