I had no such problems at that time.

Could be a routing issue... where do you connect from?

does it work now?

leave out the www.

well the other day i got something similar but i tought it was just lag...

took 10 minutes for the page to load up.

i was using the regular http page and it was going fine till about 3:56 pm pacific time, then the page showed the timed out and log in screen 10 minutes later

Dude it always takes like 10 minutes or something to load up at 3:56 pacific time :/

Sorry, I'm computer illiterate, I don't know what you mean by routing issues. I'm in California, if that's what you meant by "where I connect from".
I tried at about 4:30 pm and it worked. (even with the www)

Ok, then all is solved.

yes, the database backup slows the site down significantly as 1 GB of data needs to be extracted, compressed, sent to backup servers meanwhile running the very same database for the game...
