Down Payment for Cityhouses/Castles

Let's say you almost have enough gems/gold (say less than 10 gems or 5000 gold) to buy a cityhouse or castle, and you really need a cityhouse/castle now. Why not put a down payment or something for a previously owned castle/cityhouse and have it held off the market for a few days in order to pay the rest off for it?
However, once you're done paying off the dwelling, you have to pay a few more gems/gold in order to pay off the down payment (a few gems/several thousand gold).

There is no such thing as "I need a cityhouse/castle right now!". If you are THAT desperate, go borrow a key to a cityhouse/castle from someone.
