i think naruto is yondaime . yondaime turned into a child that is naruto. thats a teory.... its strange that the sealing technique that the 4th used is diferent from the 3rd hokage. maibe yondaime want to have the kyuubi sealed within him

Yondaime is Naruto's father due to he had to seal the demon Kyuubi, away. Yondaime had to have a son and that is Naruto.

What if Yondaime is Naruto from the future and came back to the past to become Hokage cause he always wanted to but then as he starts to die from the sealing thing he goes back in time to become Akatsuki leader.

i dont think this is about time travels. i think when yondaime used the technique to kill/seal kyuubi he did something that made him turn back to a baby.

2. left or died afterwards on a mission of somesorts

in the battle with orochimaru sarutobi mentioned a saying of how he wanted to know the technique yondaime new to turn himself into a child but he couldnt so he had to end his life and take orochimaru's arms away.

say what now? *doesn't remember Sandaime saying that* I have a bad memory...

My theory, is that Yondaime is Naruto's father... his mother died at childbirth, or in the war against the Kyuubi... Yondaime is sealed inside Naruto, with the Kyuubi... (I think that Sandaime said that the target, AND the person who performed the technique, are locked in battle forever, in the seal, never to truly "die"... I think...).
I'm speculating, that the Kyuubi may be drawn out by Akatsuki, as with Gaara, but they may also draw out Yondaime... but... who knows?

*I'm seeing some far fetched theories out there, but mine takes the cake. XD

Well, I never said it was wrong, I just said I didn't remember Sandaime saying those exact words. I suppose that would explain Naruto's ability to learn Rasengan so quickly, and being able to... er... *won't say because it may be spoiler*

But I for some reason just doubt that theory... but, I've been wrong about predicting stories before...

then again, Naruto may not be associated with Yondaime, other than the fact that Yondaime himself is inside of him. Much like when Naruto takes upon the Kyuubi's traits, and grows chakra tails and such, maybe he is constantly showing Yondaime's trait's, and it's only affecting him in ways like giving Naruto his chakra type, his personality, etc...

Yeah I agree with that, I mean it's just traits of the guy inside him. Maybe Naruto's dad is just some guy that used to work for Ichiraku, who knows
