Okay, this is my first event... I think. Anyhoo, help me out here, don't shoot it down right away and give no reason, really help me out here...

I'm not sure about rarity, but my idea is that it'll only happen during travels...

You are walking along when you see a small caravan. You can see a few carts that you assume have some merchandise on them, and about four guards, maybe shinobi. You see one man who seems to be giving orders to the rest of the group...

1: Sneak up on them to get more information

2: Try to talk to the leader

3: Ignore it

(number of choice corresponds with number of outcome)
1: Chuunin and below get caught, and either have weapons turned to metal parts, lose all gold on hand, or __ gems. Jounin and above (they are usually better at stealth and are less likely to get caught) follow behind and stalk the caravan. You notice they get attacked. You...   *continued later

2: [for evil alignment]The leader sees you coming, and readies his guards... (fight four guys; if you win, you notice the caravan got away) OR [for good alignment; neutral goes either way]The leader sees you coming, and suspiciously questions you. "Hello, warrior. What do you want with us?" You answer him... *continued later

3: You continue on your trek, and soon forget about the caravan, until you later hear about a brutal massacre of a small merchant's convoy...

1: (continued) You...

a. Help the convoy. (Fight group of bandits; increases "good" alignment. The caravan leader thanks you, but cannot give you anything now. You get ____ exp.)

b. Help the bandits. (Fight the four guards; increases "evil" alignment. You get ______ gold from the bandits for your help.)

c. Decide against participating. (You quietly sneak away from the action,[GOOD] feeling guilty about not helping... or [EVIL] feeling like you missed out on a good opportunity to take in the spoils... Lose a forest fight, charm points, etc...)

2: (continued) You answer...

a. I would like to escort you to your destination, if you wouldn't mind, good sir. (You advise the leader to take a different rout, because you know of the many ambushes happen on this road. Increases "good" alignment, you end up in ____ country.)

b. Oh, I'm here to steal from you... (You silently knock out the guard, and make off with _____ [items, gold, or gems], without a fight. Increases "evil" alignment.)

c. Oh, nothing... sorry to have bothered you. (Nothing happens, you go on your way.)

As you walk by, you notice the caravan leader. (if you helped him in any way...) "Hello again, warrior! Good to see you again! WIth your help, the stock reached it's destination, and everyone is all right! I couldn't pay you before, but I've got something for you now... (You get an item/potion/scroll, etc; plus, you get to visit his shop any time you want in that specific country for the next few game days. {almost like the merchant, or potion peddlar, but prices are steeper.}

(If you attacked them...) The caravan leader sees you and calls his guards, "IT'S HIM! GET HIM!" When you realize what's happening, you start to run, but are soon cut off by two burly shinobi. The caravan leader walks up to you. "Because of you, some of my men died, and our merchandise is gone! You've got to pay it back, NOW!" (Fight four guards. If you win, you get away for now, and get a small amount of exp and gold; however, anytime you are in the country that you found them, you have a high chance of the caravan leader's bodyguards attacking you, each time, they get harder.)

Well, I figured coding it would be a bear, (although I know nothing of coding...) but what isn't? But I remember Neji saying something of liking events that affected later ones... so I tried that.

Um... I guess, Gyu... I did ask for help, unless you think it's good enough for Neji as is, but just want to change stuff around :P

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention, I thought about it costing a few forest fights to stalk them... I mean, that would take time, ya know...

The caravan leader walks up to you. "Because of you, some of my men died, and our merchandise is gone! You've got to pay it back, NOW!" [For 3 game days, you will be attacked by guards whenever you travel]

I like it... it makes my event sound better... I guess I should have expected such from Gyu...

Neji hasn't replied here yet, I suppose he doesn't like the idea, or at least hasn't seen it...

Generally:

there are *lots* of events requested, and my time is very limited (University, work, and so on)
so I can't really make new ones currently.

To this:

Don't make outcomes 100% calculatable. Don't give out only gold or only gems when you choose 1-3-4b or so.
There are already enough events for that =)

The outcomes I put were flexible, really... but I'd rather keep "The shop opens up for people who help them" thing.

Heck, for people robbing it, you could make it to where it's possible to end up with nothing, and the guards attack him, etc... or for people helping the caravan, it couild so happen that the caravan is actually a black market kinda thing, they knock you out, and you wake up with an organ missing... I dunno...

good event, i like it, but i think losing your weapon is a  bit harsh, especially on the littel acadds. *remembers teh time when he tried somethign foolish and lost his weapon *
