How do you feel about having a player be able to create their own jutsu.

It could be a reward at the mission headquarters or a special event once you hit a high enough level.

I stick to Naruto... and only very very high ranked people do *sometimes* create their own jutsus...

If I'd let people make their "all world killing jutsu" ... well. No.

It would be a totally different story if there would be appropriate roleplay, but normally, it's just "I want to"... but most don't give it much thought.

I think an option could be added to change the name of your specialty to what you prefer - sort of like how the customize weapon/armor works. The problem comes in with renaming each skill to what you want. I am not sure if that is possible....

Yeah, I agree with Neji. If people were allowed to make their own jutsus they'd just make a jutsu that does 500 or so damage. They'd be overpowering and everyone would have close to the same custom jutsu, an instant kill jutsu.

My idea might take alot of time and effort to make but how about this.

We create a type of generator that has already set effects. Each effect cost a certain large ammount of gold and gems to use plus requires a certain amount of DKs. Then in the generator it asks for the name of the Jutsu and has boxes next to all the set effects that can be chosen. Then you check the boxes of the effects you would like the certain jutsu to do. Also the effect can be edited after creation.

I.E.

Name: Rasengan

Effects (Please choose up to 5)

(X)10 - 15 Damage for 4 rounds (1,000 Gold, 1 gem) Reguires 5 Dragon Kills
( )20 - 30 Damage for 4 rounds (3,000 Gold, 3 Gems) Requires 10 Dragon Kills
( )30 - 50 Damage for 5 rounds (5,000 Gold, 5 gems) Requires 15 Dragon Kills
(X)2 Minions (5,000 Gold, 5 gems) Requires 10 Dragon Kills
( )3 Minions (10,000 Gold 10 gems) Requires 20 Dragon Kills
( )4 Minions (20,000 Gold 20 gems) Requires 35 Dragon Kills
( )5 Minion (40,000 Gold 40 gems) Requires 50 Dragon Kills
( )Self Regen for 15 for 4 rounds. (1,000 Gold, 1 gem) Requires 5 Dragon Kills

etc.
Of course alot more can be added and you wont be able to choose more than 1 of the damage effects or Minion effects per jutsu.

But well, it *could* be done, why not.

I have nothing really against it, it just has to have a price no chuunin/genin is able to pay AND (!!!) it consumes time to train.

Remember how long it took  Naruto? To master even the basics of the Rasengan? AND (!!!) he is the only one besides Jiraiya who can use it (manga excluded).

So, it should be hard, but then, it should be something you might be proud of.

Meh...the way I see it, creating jutsus is perfectly fine for a quick roleplaying fight, but like others have said before me, people would just create insanely overpowered jutsus if given the opportunity ingame. Although Xaos's idea is appealing....Let's just keep the jutsu creation to the Bio, yeah?

I'll think of something and post it in a new thread it will be along the idea of the previous thing though. It probably will lead to a "Best Combo", but some people like healing themselves over overall damage. Not too mention I will make prices high but low enough for you to actually get it (But don't anyone think it's going to cost extremely low ) I'll post my idea in the next couple of days.

Also the reason I'm making you able to edit it later is for when the new options pop up. So in a way you will be "mastering" the jutsu you created as you level up.

maybe...you can create one once you're a hokage? (sarutobi, the first and the yondaime have all created jutsus, summoning jutsu, the tree jutsu [sorry forget name] and rasengan respectively)
also, more powerful should take up more chakra to use...(speciality uses whatever you want to call it...)
i think the suggested method is a BIT too easy though...

Perhaps something like:
300 gold+2 gem for each 10 hp regenerated per turn
500+2 gems for each 10 damage dealt
1000+4 gems for each extra minion
500+2 gems for each extra att/def granted as a buff
400+2 gems for each att/def detracted from opponent (as a buff)
10000 gold+20 gems for 5 rounds of invincibility (call it speed, defense, whatever), this one can't be stacked (or else it would be too cheap)
500+4 gems for each extra attack granted (for example you can hit them twice in one turn...not including reposite)
for each ability, you must train 2x turns to master, where x is the number of gems that the ability costs
for each ability, you must use up 2x chakra to train, where x is the number of gems that the ability costs

how does it sound?

btw-neji, you're referring to "living people" who can use rasengan, right? cuz yondaime could too
