Exept for the fact that L-kun isn't really dead, ne! L-kun is alive, 'cause L-kun can't really be dead, ne!!!

It took me quite a few episdes for it to actually hit me that L.... was dead.
I prefer the movie because (Spoiler)L wrote his own name in the death note (and made the date 20 days from then), thus preventing Rem from klilling him and having it end with Light dying before him. .~.

His death scene was sad though... really sad. T.T

Yes, but watch the series first. It will make the movie that much more awesome (the series is really good, it's just that it's much easier to understand/get the full effect of the movie after seeing the series. The movie is pretty fast-paced). xD
