I think it is 10 times or so before you get a ban, correct me if I'm wrong.

ban is over after the game day you were banned on I think.

Firefox can save your password the next time you enter it.  From that point on, Firefox remembers it for as long as you like.

If you don't have Firefox, get it.

If you are in, I don't know - say Texas . . . and someone in, I don't know - say China types in your username and tries to guess your password, their IP would be banned - not yours.

If you use a provider that shares IPs (like AOL), you could theoretically be in different states and the same scenario as above could cause both of you to be banned.

At least, that is my current understanding of how it works.

It's happened to me before, but only for three days.

My advice: Just wait it out! No one likes a complainer. Not only does it rarely get anyone anywhere, it lowers that person's rep. Trust me Azarik, you don't want the reputation that I have for being notorious for things, among which are complaining when things don't go my way. Even doing it for one day can scar your rep to a point that it takes months to gain back your respect. And for Pete's sake it's a RPG! Life won't end if you get banned for a few days from SL...
