Even though HIV is hard to transfer through Saliva, blood would have to be in the person's mouth do to a cut or something, the person intended on transferring it to the officer. That's like bio-terrorism. O.o;

Actually, Saliva is made up of digestive enzymes produced by the Pancreas i believe(not sure, ill have to check on the pancreas part), HIV wouldn't be able to survive in that and the open air
