Dell or HP. Those are reliable.

The only problem that I have with my HP is that it no longer functions as a laptop- the batteries no longer recharge, so it has to be plugged in to be used. : /
Of course, it's probably my fault as I rarely turn it off. xD
Being on for 2 years straight... probably caused the batteries to overheat... but, even after replacing the battery, I still had the same problem.

Oh, I have one more complaint: my laptop's screen is so wide that pretty much all wallpapers are distorted/look like crap on it (except for the preset ones, but who uses those, really?). My next computer is going to have dual (average-sized) monitors, for sure.

Mine's a HP Pavillion zd8000 by the way.

I have a Dell Latitude D520. Very fast, nice, big screen, not heavy, small, just plain good.

Go to the dell website and you can pretty much build your own (have everything you want in it).
