I'll admit that it is, but the rest... >>

Operation Ground Pound? =O
...I don't get it

I think it's a name of a song you Canadian midget  ;)  And shame on you for insulting rap, how can you not love this song?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbbxA8a_M_s

: }
Hey, that's insulting!

Doom is a Asian midget.

And rap sucks. It gives me headaches.

Music is about expressing your feelings through singing/playing an instrament, not some mindless junk that doesn't make sense.

He's an Asian Midget that lives in Canada  :)

And I only like some Rap.  The one's that have some kind of story to tell.  Listen to this, and tell me if it qualifies as expressing yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuK2A1ZqoWs

Most of the Rap out today though is pointless.  The instrumentals surrounding Rap are also good just on their own.  If you take away the lyrics for a Rock song, it still remains a Rock song.  Do that with Rap, and you have some very emotionally driven music based off the instrumentals.

There's a lot of different music out there, and I don't limit the genres I listen to, only the Artists I don't necessarily feel anything for.

: }
Washington is NOT Canada!

The fact that half the time you can't even hear the instraments in rap because it's overshadowed by the singers voice or the drums/beats made from the computer(IE: Not instraments at all). Songs need the lyrics to attract people who aren't musical, but still listen to music.

This might be why sondtracks don't sell as well as regular music. People block out themusic with their minds and only listen for dialouge and hidden refeances.

All forms of Rap/Hip-hop and R&B suck nuff' said. =|

AGREED!

Once the magic Camel with the camel gold has spoken, all arguments must stop. >.>
Aww, and I typed a long post too... >>

Why am I the one defending Rap?  I don't even really listen to it, I only have a few songs on my I-pod that are Rap out of like 100, but even I don't think it should be insulted like that.

It's like when my friends say Badminton sucks.  I don't even play the sport, but feel like I have to defend it.

Did Rap or the people associated with it do something to offend you, because I don't know anyone who is so set against hating something.  It's not good to hold grudges people  ;)

The reason why people are attracted to words or lyrics is because either they relate to what is being said or they love the sound of the Human voice or both.  These people are musical in every way as someone who listens to the voice of an instrument.

I listen to Music from Orchestras, to Grunge Rock to Epic Metal to New Age.  Music is the Universal Voice, but so is the Voice.

Now I have no idea what I'm saying anymore, but I thought Doom Kaboom lived in Canada?  :P
just cause you're in canada doesn't mean I am >>

and I just realized who you were after the doom kaboom >>

Yeah I drop in from time to time to make sure you're not dead : ]  I just forgot the password for my Kureaa account, and the e-mail I was using for it as well >,<

Is it just me, or has someone gone through internet puberty?  ;)

You're defending rap cuz no one else wants to! =D

If the Abyss was here, he would help me defend :cry: *sniff* *sniff*

Unfortunately, Doom is too short for any form of puberty. As for Abby... He's busy trying to figure out how to open his door. <.<

Im not on to just pick 1 category of music i listen to many,
Maybe some of you should grow up and respect other peoples taste in music and stop judging.  :smt117javascript:void(0);

I would rather listen to Scream-o then Rap or any of it's degenerate forms, I haven't devolved enough to reach the standards of listening to it because  I have better taste in music which I acquired.
Papa Roach was indeed influenced by Rap/Hip Hop as Linkin Park as well but what influenced Rap/Hip-hop/R&B?
Rock did which was borned from Blues, most Hip hop of today is crappy, I mean an Hip Hop artist gets his Myspace account hacked, that's smart.
I never heard a Rock much less Pop artist gets any forms of his/hers accounts hacked. >_>
Now the Camel has spoken and I don't want to hear any more from my subjects.

I agree with you perfectly about today's hip-hop/rap.  Especially the one in mainstream media.  But I know for a fact that you haven't heard the same Rap I have heard.  Because I have been around many musicians, and not one of them would say what you just said about the Rap I listen to.  You haven't heard the likes of Skeleton King or Symphony May I Die.  It's all Underground.  It's all Epic Rap, that uses a mix of Rock, Orchestra and is very different from all other Rap.

Just saying Mr. Camel sir  :cool:

Guess what! Where I live and the school I go to, Rap and Hip-Hop are the most listened to forms of music. I have to put up with it all the time there, and with my older sister since she listens to it.

Therefore, I can say it is horrible, as I am constantly exposed to it.

I know, that's annoying.

When I change the station/CD to something I like, she turns it off.

Once, Metallica's new single(The Day That Never Comes off of Death Magnetic) was premiering on KROQ, and she turned it off!
