He was referenced in this chapter, so it's quite possible that Pein or Konan could go get him from wherever he is. His body is nearby the Leaf Village, isn't it?

i think you mean hidan and kakuzu, anyway he is probably reffering to the anime which is currently on the asuma death arc at the moment
