First, he is the main character that has spent time training - the speed and power of his attack is supposed to setup that Naruto (the namesake of the manga) has become much more powerful.

Second, it is possible that Kakashi's raikiri weakened it, or that Naruto's attack was better placed for such destruction, or both.

hahaha dam i missed that rasengan as well, if it was'nt for you posting that then i would have never knew, but then im guessing that means naruto can now make a rasengan with only 1 hand because it did'nt show him using a clone
