No it isn't.

A triangle has 3 sides.

Stability comes from an increased number of contact points, and as a hexagon has 6 sides, the number of contact points is doubled, making it twice as stable.

Wrong, it is a known fact that the Triangle is the strongest shape, increase of contact points increases weak spots.

Wrong, Basic woodshop.

The three things that make a project strong are increased numbers of contact points, accuracy of construction, and glue.

Well, if you believe Buckminster Fuller and Kenneth Snelson, the strongest shape is the triangle because of its structural and finite element properties. If you look at the following link, you'll see evidence to back it up.

Dude, I'm talking about woodshop, the class where the teacher lets me cut metal in half with hack saws, and use a 30" blade spinning at 3,000 RPM. <_<;

I don't give a **** about geometry. I can't play with saws in that class, so I never paid attention.

Lol, Also shapes like Hexagons are just made up of multiple Triangles ^^
There is another Shape that can go for the Strongest Shape, and that is an Arch.

Hexagon = 6 miniature triangles.

An Arc is boring.

It's all about the line. It's a classic.

There were never 2D days for humans. >_>

We exist in a 3D plane, and can create objects in a 2D plane.

Yes Shikki... very good...
When you study higher Physics and learn that there maybe be over 10 dimensions we can resume this conversation.

Actually, there may be a limitless number of dimensions.

So far, scientists are only able to theorize the amount that may be tangible to them, or possible to make a graphic representation of.
