This event is only avalible for player at level 15.

Visit the book hermit at the darkest corner of the library and offer your exp to the old man, hoping for a reward...

(I'll start with the worst thing that could happen)

"He puts his hand on your head & you feel light headed. You wake up later & the old man was no where to be found & you can't remember a thing" - loses all exp & returns to level 1.

"Hits you in the head with his cane & runs away" - loses 10% of your exp for nothing.

"Touch your head & disappears into the darkness, leaving some gold coins behind" - loses 10% of exp but gain gold equal to exp lost.

"Teaches you a secret technique" - gain 1 skill point but loses 20% of exp.

"Put his hand on your head & reads your mind & then suddenly disappeared. You rub your eyes in disbelieve then notice a few gems on the ground" - loses 30% of exp but gain 3 - 5 gems.

"Gives you the ultimate knowledge" - gain 1 permenent attack or defend (random) but loses all exp & return to level 1.

p/s: I know this ain't gonna happen but I got nothing better to do & have a hell lot of exp...

Nice going (see other thread)

Yet: in level 15, experience is... not valuable anymore. Skill points gains are only interesting for the one last fight against Oro... gems stay...

We could make a thing out of it, if there is more reason in it.

The "back to level 1" is hard ^^ if he gets no oro kill. So it is funny in a way.

Basically it is balanced in a way (if the chance to get the gems is reasonable as the risk to be again level 1 without an oro kill is harsh ^^), so we can talk about  it.
(provide text and you give me a good start... I don't like 'I want to have xyz, do it!' but if I get some stuff to work with and wrap code around it... much better. now only the time is an issue (stack))

To use the extra exp that you get when you fight at level 15, & for a chance to get pemanent stat that you get from a DK but randomly & without losing your equipments and gold in bank.

I'll write another one that's more carefully planned but not in detail & post it here for your review.

Library Hermit (Toshokan Sennin)

Location: Fire Country Library/Forbidden section
Condition: Only players with need a library card, be at Level 15 and a full exp bar may enter.

You head towards the forbidden library hoping to find a secret scroll or two but you were greeted by an old man with a strange cane instead as you entered the section. "I'm the toshokan sennin. Have you came here to offer me your knowledge to me?"

>Yes
>Leave

(if you chose "yes") "Very well, what do you wish for in return?"

> Wealth (lose 10% exp for gold = to the amount of exp you lost)
> Treasures (lose 20% exp for 1 - 5 gems)
> Skills (lose 30% exp for 1 skill level)
> Power (lose all exp & return to level 1 for 1 pemanent attack/defend/turn or 5 pemanent HP randomly)

*You may only visit the hermit once a day*

Sorry man, but,

1) Gold is in 90% cases pretty useless on lvl 15

2) No one cares about conserving exp on lvl 15

3) Power option is like slaying Oro just without slaying Oro.

But the idea is pretty good. Just the flaws need to be fixed. I like the idea of more forest randoms though.

i think the bad stuff are way too harsh compared to the goodies. but its a great idea though.

can someone tell me what there is to do in this library because it doesnt seem interesting.

I think you have a really good idea Gyu.  The only thing is that it seems way too risky.  Losing all experience and going back to level 1 is just as Neji said, harsh.  Taking a risk like that requires an equally beneficial reward cause I myself wouldn't want to take a risk where there is such harsh punishments with minimal rewards.

The permanent Attack and Defense is the only thing you mentioned worth taking that risk for.
