Assassin in the forest
« on: August 22, 2010, 07:19:51 AM »

I think his name is Shinobazu, I could be wrong.

But did anybody know that your alignment will make him change his mind?
My main, Twitch, is Chaotic Good and was willing to pay him 69 Gems and 20,000 Gold for one contract.
He said I was too Chaotic to "continue this kind of act." and left!

Can somebody plese explain to me what happened.. [This happened twice, with two different contracts (on different people)]

Well just from what it reads I would assume you'd have to be Neutral or maybe lawful? I actually have no idea as I've never had the money on me to do it etc...

When you have chaotic alignment, it means that you basically are like a wild firecracker in that you can't be trusted.  A lawful good person would do good almost always consistently, such as Super Man or something, whereas a chaotic good person may do good things, but not all the time, maybe like Robin Hood (because Robin Hood steals from the rich, which is technically a bad thing even though it's for a good cause).  A lawful person you can trust to stick to their word, so since you're chaotic, he probably wouldn't "trust" you for a contract.  Like... if it was taking place in the real world, it's like you trying to strike a deal with an assassin who gave you his name. He wouldn't trust you to keep your word and not rat him out to the authorities since it's such a dirty job, or maybe you would end up killing him anyways.  That's just what I think. xD

But for a further explanation of chaotic alignment, go here:

That might help you understand a little more. xD

Not to try and revive an old thread, but I've been denied several times a contract due to being too lawful. I really don't like that only neutral people seemingly are able to make these contracts. I love being able to have my character have it's own personality, but at the cost of having features denied for not being neutral is in my opinion dumb. Any chance this could be changed?

In real life when you make choices there are consequences.
If you are good, you can live a nice happy life, if you do crime, you end up in Jail. If you study and work hard, you have more opportunities in life, if you don't, you can't have the same opportunities.

Hence it is only right that such things happen in SL.
Yes, you can choose to make your character a certain way, but when you make those choices, it will have an effect on other choices which you can make in the future.

I specifically target content for specific alignments/demeanors.

Yes, you will be denied some content.

However, you get other content others don't get.
