Actually, I like the aesthetics of a Mac. It's nice to look at. I have to give them that. They've got a clean look to them. But that doesn't mean I like them for performance.
I've changed the functionality of the Dock though.
The launcher was actually efficient, but the problem was that you couldn't customize it. I'd have loved to be able to move it, or keep it from hiding like I did with my dock. I've actually made it so that no programs can obscure the dock, and so the dock never hides. The only expansion is when you add programs as a launcher, and when I open the sub-folders, which shows in rainbow.
I can still use the <super> to bring up the old Unity 2D launcher if I want.
