Slow Server?

I guess this goes here, anyway for the last two new days the game has been ridiculously slow(to the point of almost timing out while page is loading) for about an hour after the new game day. I'm not the only one experiencing this apparently, so it's not my computer or internet.

The server is experiencing some problems.
SL, LoB, and both forums have been affected.

Neji will address the matter soon.

All I'd like to know is, what caused the major problem on both forums Neji, and is there a backup?

That's weird I've had almost no problems on this forum.

Look around some of the boards, notice how many members have suddenly deleted their accounts? :/

Seems to me like an automatic deletion of members triggered by blah, and the criteria for deletion being blah...

Members who have not logged in over a prolonged period of time were deleted. ;)

And Neji has updated us all on the recent server related issues via the MOTD.

SL/Lob were affected, boards only through that they are on the same host machine, different virtual server.

I'll know more tomorrow.

So I'm not entirely sure if this question was answered and I accidentally skipped over it, but what exactly is making the server slow to a crawl? 

Or is the problem unidentified?

From what I can infer from the MoTD...
...basically google (or someone/something) has been pinging the server like crazy, to the point where the server cannot handle it.

And of course that something cannot magically "ping" us so much on it's own. That means, it's probably happening again.

Just kidding in all honesty. Though, whatever is killing the server is getting on the nerves rather easily.



As of right now, the site is slow again.

About ten minutes before the new day, everything was running as smooth as normal with a slight slow a minute before the new day.

It always occurs at the same time of day. I basically donated for Kyuubi for no reason. The slows are preventing me from leveling and Kyuubi is just wasting away.
