here it is 5+ hours to the next day and I have massive lag once more. I really see no pattern to this issue with respect to time of day.

I'm experiencing a lag as well. It's always a little before the new gameday, and then a little while after the new gameday.

I don't about you guys but I have been experiencing a massive lag for the past hour, took twenty-minutes for the homepage to appear.
Started about two hours after the new game-day.  :cry:

Lags started occurring with me around 35 min ago.

And now I am visioning Neji going back to the drawing board- oh the fun times. :)

To be blunt, with the continuation of these server lags for the past couple of days, please understand that petitions will not be handled in a timely manner.

Petitions are being handled in a timely manner like usual- thought I give an update. =)

We understand that navs will be broken, and they will be fixed in a timely manner.
Please do not petition with regards to the lag though, try to use the forum in this case this the problem is known and ongoing.

I'd ask for some help (as 1-4 a.m. I am not really up checking out the server).

From my logs, it seems like "normal usage" when I get on, and I see googlebots crawling, but that might only be a part of it.

The database (which went away, as you saw above) was loaded heavily with requests. Now, the question is "why". Normally this is because of a lot of page hits.

I disabled the "access denied kitty", so we are currently without fast-crawling-protection.

Hints that will help me:

* how many users are online
* did the site go slow rapidly?
* is it a specific time? or randomly? in the first case, get the atomic time (incl. time zone) for me to look up stuff, please

Most things would need to be done on my end.

Probably nothing too serious but I'm seeing page slows in the forest(with 29 players on) starting around 8:50pm EST. I usually clock in at about 1/3 of what I'm about to post.
