Ichirou continued to sense the gathering of Senjutsu chakra, meaning that his Ototon technique had failed. Which meant that his opponent had some means of warding it off. which Ichirou was currently unaware of. He thought for just a moment, before deciding that he needed to take a different plan of action. He had to hit his opponent with something that would be hard to deny, an attack that would be difficult to counter for a single individual. Ichirou would ascend higher into the sky, away from the leafy barrier that would have given his position should he had entered. He would shift his Rinnegan into existence and clasp his hands together, building his chakra as well. Deciding that he had little option here to maintain the element of surprise, as well as avoid these pesky shadows..

It was at this point that Eric would determine that his clone had gathered enough senjutsu. It would be at this point that the clone would dispel, returning most of the earlier spent chakra and also the senjutsu. A transformation undertook Eric, and to put it shortly, he became a wind dragon.

More at length, wings sprouted from his back, teeth sharpened, nails became claws, and his skin became like that of scale armor. It would make penetration more difficult, but it still was not quite up to par with that of his dragon companion. The man would also sprout a tail. This transformation greatly tore at his clothing, but the essentials, the weapons pouches and chakra blade holster, would all be in place yet still.

Now that he was in sage mode, Eric could more acutely sense his surroundings. While his opponent had managed to elude the sixth sense, Eric's enhanced sense of hearing (though still sheltered by the sound filtering earbuds) would faintly hear the clap high above. Combined with that was the incredible build-up of chakra that Ichirou had initiated for some purpose.

That could not be permitted to carry on. Picking up on Ichirou's location by the aforementioned means, Eric performs a set of handsigns, taking advantage of the cursed cloud of the shadow to very swiftly manipulate the shadow around Ichirou's location. This action would have very little warning, for even the chakra surging to this portion of shadow would reach its location very quickly. Within a second of completing his handsigns, the shadow would attempt to wrap around the invisible form of Ichirou and bind both him and his chakra.

At a single touch, it would also drain at his chakra reserves, likely disrupting whatever technique he had had planned on executing.

Senpō: Kage–Chakurashibari no Jutsu; Sage Art: Shadow Chakra Bind Technique

Due to the very swift execution, it would be very unlikely that Ichirou would be able to merely fly away, and more likely that he would be once again forced to use his intangibility, as most ninjutsu would simply be absorbed by the shadow as it attempts to bind Ichirou. If successfully completed, Ichirou would be greatly restricted and unable to use any jutsu, nor would he be able to physically resist the bind. But that would be only if it successfully wrapped around him entirely, which Eric was not banking on, but was prepared to follow-up on in the off-chance he manages to pull it off.

Ichirou had little time to react to his opponents technique, and with his Rinneganalready active it would be a little harder, but Ichirou still had a plan, he would aim his hand towards the ground,  and use his ability to craft Kokushin, to launch forth from the palm of his hand a black bar, which was indeed a manifestation of Kokushin, and was also marked with Hiraishin as it exited his hand, the bar would descend beyond the shadow quickly, allowing him to teleport to the bar just before he was trapped within the shadow, and quickly take flight away from the shadow

Hiraishin no Jutsu - Flying Thunder God Technique

His opponent was clever with his usage of shadows, causing Ichirou to have to change his plan of action yet again. As usual. However for now he would change position once again, making sure to make little sound as he slid his black bar into a pouch on his hip, and placed his hands together softly, however this time instead of charging his chakra he would instead activate a sensory technique

Kekkai: Tengai Hōjin - Barrier: Canopy Method Formation

Using the chakra he had charged previously, Ichirou would unleash this technique with intent to locate his opponent, as Ichirou would be able to sense anything within the ethereal barrier. For now he would work to locate his opponent, he resided between the clouds and the leaf barrier now, distancing himself from the sky and leaving him in a range that would take time for shadows to reach..

Ichirou made the assumption that Eric would not react to his attempt at brandishing a chakra disurpting weapon against his shadow imitation. This was an incorrect assumption, for if Eric had not been in sage mode, he might not would have been able to react to this rather swift manifestation.

However, Eric was and still i in fact in sage mode, and would have been able to pick up on the manifestation of the weapon. Having cursed the battlefield shadow earlier, as the shadow barrier went down and the leaves began to finally settle, Eric swiftly moved some shadow to take hold of the bar before it could descend very far. Hence, presuming Ichirou still hiraishined to it, he would be in even greater danger than before, as by now the shadow would have practically enclosed upon him and his rod.

Now, the fact that Ichirou had hiraishined would have caught Eric completely off guard had it not been for both his sensory (coupled with the fact that he had encountered the technique before) and the fact that the act did not transport Ichirou very far from his original position.

This of course is presuming Ichirou did not attempt something else in order to escape, but by now, being in contact with the manifested shadow, the window for escape now had dramatically narrowed.

While Ichirou's Kokushin had not made it very far, it made enough distance to leave a portion of Ichirou's body open if just for a moment, giving him time to separate himself into two separate entities before becoming entrapped, The second halve -also under the Miseigakure technique- would split from Ichirou's lower half, that being the portion of his body that was exposed

Bunretsu no Jutsu - Fission Technique

This technique halved Ichirou's power, while producing an Identical copy of himself much faster than a clone technique. However this second half was not a clone, but instead a separate entity. It would be possible that Eric would be unaware of the activation of this technique, as the Miseigakure no Jutsu was still in effect, and the shadow was not fully coiled, the split half that had escaped the entrapment of the shadows, would retreat back away from the situation, and try to gain a new vantage point on the situation

What Ichirou had still failed to acknowledge was that, even in using his jutsu, Eric would be able to detect that a jutsu had been used. He lucked out, however, that Eric had never actually encountered the fission technique before; perhaps had he been a stone ninja, or fought more stone ninja, he would be more famaliar with that line of techniques. Nonetheless, believing that he had captured his opponent, Eric would inhale then exhale.

Still in sage mode, he would proceed to absorb chakra from the hiraishin seal, rendering it useless for the sake of teleportation. On his suppressed enemy, Eric would make two handsigns and form several sharp spines, intending on driving them through his quarry's head body, seemingly killing him in the process. These threads would attempt to go through his clothing, his head, his feet, practically everywhere. If successful, this would kill off this half of Ichirou, though Eric would be unaware that he was only "half" done.

Kage Nui no Jutsu; Shadow Sewing Technique

While very skeptical that his foe would be able to survive that attack, he was not skeptical that he would at least force him to fully re-appear. He would not let his guard down however; the effect of that last technique was still as of yet unknown. If his opponent had resorted to using something akin to Izanagi, Eric did not want to get caught off guard by a surprise attack.

Ichirou had indeed lost his other half, a detrimental turn of events, but none the less something that he had to work with, with the leaves settled, Ichirou could maneuver closer to the forest, and attempt to locate his opponent off of the general area he had acquired from the usage of chakra in specific locations, that and his opponent was now a dragon, while he could not sense him, he would be able to notice the dragon like transformation his opponent had undergone, and since he had apparently not moved, Ichirou would be able to find him after a little searching, once he had eyes on his opponent, he was quick to act. This half of him had come out with the Sharingan, and focusing his right eye on his opponent he would attempt to ignite him in black flames, the highest level of fire release.

Amaterasu - Heavenly Illumination

This technique, if successful would ignite his opponent with the black flames of amaterasu, with intent to severely burn his opponent, possibly ending in fatal injuries,  Amaterasu is said to never stop burning; even when whatever is caught by Amaterasu is completely reduced to ash or destroyed, it can still continue burning for seven days and seven nights.

With the supposed death of his foe, Eric was outright prepared to go retrieve his other weapon, the body of his foe dropping as the shadows from there retracted. However, no sooner had he set his mind onto this task did a certain fire style chakra make itself known. Again, still in sage mode, so unlike his standard self, he was not caught completely off guard when the Ameratsu sprung up.

His hands already together, Eric would swfitly switch handsigns, disppearing in a black flash and re-appearing at the chakra blade that he had left embedded in a tree. He would stand on the branch with the handseal still present even as his final space-time ninjutsu swiftly teleported him, at least for now, out of direct line of sight of his opponent, as enough of the leaves yet remained to conceal him somewhat from view.

Hiei no jutsu ; Flying Shadow Technique

Eric had evolved his space-time technique, shadow migration, to the point in which it could reach hiraishin-like speeds, slowed only by the need of a handsign for activation.

While the speed at which he teleported was comparable to hiraishin, the man still had to switch handsigns, for though swift, he was not equivalent in speed to the Fourth Raikage in physical movement; while he had avoided being completely engulfed in the flames should his opponent had chosen to keep his focus on that spot, Eric had still gotten much of the flames on his Akatsuki robe and some of his hair.

Though in quite the pain, the man howled out in pain, and once again performed a short set of handsigns, sealing the black flames in his shadow.

Fūinjutsu: Kage Naraku Rō; Sealing Technique: Shadow Hell Prison

This would prevent a fatality, but Eric now had several severe burns on his face, some of his scalp, and a few places on his arms (from the intense heat). Most of his akatsuki cloak had been completely burned away, and even the deerskin jacket and flak jacket were hanging on by mere threads at this point. Discarding the remnants of the Akatsuki cloak, Eric would swiftly prepare to act in case his opponent decided to follow-up on Eric's hasty retreat, all the while, his mind was reeling.

How was his opponent still alive? He was for sure that that corpse falling from the sky truly was a corpse. Eric had been fortunate to not have to wait very long to escape his opponent's view, but at least for the moment, he knew that he could still be tracked. He had picked up the spike in his opponent's chakra from Ameratsu, but he had been too busy trying to save his hide (literally) to keep track of where his opponent might be.

He would be prepared for a round 2 of that torture, even as his injuries began to visibly heal themselves; another perk to his sage mode. He would not allow his opponent to so easily defeat him, not with him having so much terrain advantage still.

As his opponent would vanish, lessening the damage of the Amaterasu, Ichirou would move from his location, to prevent being caught even in his invisible state, he knew he had to regroup. And a different Idea came to mind. Reaching into his shirt through the collar(though this would be unseen) he would retrieve a scroll from within a harness underneath his outerwear, he would extend his arm outward, and form the seal of confrontation. Causing an Ethereal barrier to spread throughout the zone,

Kekkai Genjutsu: Sea of sands eternity

A Genjutsu barrier formed by his Kuchiyose which Ichirou sealed into a scroll to assist with combat efficiency, this barrier would quickly spread throughout the zone, Once caught inside, anyone with a chakra signature whom did not possess a barrier pass, were caught within a tight continuous Genjutsu, which would effect the world around them as well a their mind in two ways. First it would effect the eyes, making the area around them (within the barrier) appear to be a sea of sand, fluctuating like water, the sand would billow over them and swallow them within the waves of sand, only to spew them back out. Secondly the Genjutsu would effect perception. Time would be slowed to the victim, every 1 second real time, would last for 10 seconds within the Genjutsu. The downside of this barrier is that in order for Ichirou to expand it to the entirety of the zone, the barrier would only last for 1 turn before expiring, unless a steady chakra source was funneled through the scroll to continue the Jutsu. However Ichirou was not aware of his opponents actual position currently, and had to take this risk of shortening the length of the barrier to make sure that his opponent was caught within. Once the barrier was activated Ichirou would lighten the weight of the scroll, leaving it to float in the air.

Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu - Earth Release: Light Weight Rock technique

This would take not even a moment, as Ichirou already had his hand placed on the scroll when he activated the barrier, leaving the source of the barrier floating in Air Ichirou would maneuver away from the scroll, and form the snake seal, kneading chakra into his stomach

Mokuton: Kajukai Kōrin - Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees

Ichirou would build the chakra for his Mokuton technique within his stomach quickly, ceasing his Miseigakure no Jutsu and activating his Rinnegan as he did so, and spew it out in the form of three large seeds, which would strike the ground in a triangular shape within the barrier and sprout small Mokuton Forests, all bearing beautiful pink flowers. This flowers would exist in abundance upon the 7 foot wooden panels they were spawned upon, As soon as these flowers would spawn they would immediately begin releasing a thick yellow pollen which would quickly fill the zone as the forests sprouted, though Ichirou kept it beneath the tree tops with his chakra as to prevent himself from inhaling it. Whenever this pollen is inhaled, it causes the victim to become rendered unconcious for an extended period of time. As the Forests would spread Ichirou's main goal was to incapacitate his opponent at this point, his chakra levels were getting lower by the moment and he needed a way to succeed. With his opponent more than likely caught within the strong Genjutsu of the barrier, he would be unaware of the incoming pollen. Ichirou knew that his Sage Mode shouldn't be lasting for much longer, so hopefully this would seal the deal. The Genjutsu of The Sphinx were difficult to break, even for bearers of the sharingan. It had nearly incapacitated Ichirou whenever he had first encountered them. As his Jutsu would continue to expand Ichirou would take a chakra pill, to restore his chakra (on the next turn)

As earlier stated, Eric would be prepared to act upon his opponent's actions. Upon Ichirou making the seal of confrontation, actiating the genjutsu barrier technique from within the presumably unopened scroll, Eric would be able to sense this movement. Since his shadow was and the shadow of the cloud were practically the same at this point, Eric would be able to make a single handseal, unleashing the just sealed Ameratsu onto the location of the chakra and the immediate area around it from said shadow.

While this would open up the threat of Ichirou being engulfed and completely consumed by the fires of his own creation, Eric would not bank on it burning him to a crisp fast enough to end the fight. He would, however, bank on it burning the scroll and delaying Ichirou's next action.

Nonetheless, since the burning fires are not instantaneous, Eric would indeed be caught in the genjutsu. However, as Ichirou had stated, it would affect only his perception of time and vision, it would not actually restrain his movements, nor prevent him from doing jutsu. Even if it did, it would only restrain him while the illusionary sand was completely covered/billowed over him (tricking his mind into thinking he was trapped by the sand), which would take time to occur (which would occur very slowly in relation to the events of the real world, and Eric would act nigh the moment he was caught in the illusion) and would also produce a rather large shadow from which Eric could use to escape being swallowed by the sand (hence, even while fooled, Eric would have reason to attempt to merge into a shadow for the sake of escaping).

Last time Eric had worn out his sage mode by summoning Rita, but this time, he had managed to stretch it longer by not performing such a comparatively taxing techinque. Nonetheless, he would have to use what remained of his senjutsu in order to both escape the genjutsu and subsequently break himself out of it (though it is assumed that he is automatically freed after leaving the barrier, Eric would leave nothing to chance).

Therefore, unrestrained, Eric would merge into his shadow, and temporarily enter his shadow realm, just in case his efforts at defeating the genjutsu were for naught.

Kage Idō; Shadow Migration

If Ichirou were thus capable of resuming his wood release technique, then Eric would escape that as well. Upon reaching the alternate dimension would perform genjutsu release as a precautionary measure, to ensure he was not still under the effects of some illusion. Presuming all of this came to pass, it would be now that Eric would leave sage mode.

While clever an attempt it was, these Amaterasu flames were created by Ichirou, and thus an easy fix. while unexpected and caught off guard, Ichirou had yet to unleash his Miseigakure technique, nor form his rinnegan. As the Amaterasu was spawned, Ichirou would jut his hand back, barely avoiding the flames, and use his control over the technique to extinguish it, something that took little effort. As the target of the flames was the immersion of chakra, Ichirou would be able to avoid and extinguish the technique in this manner, because the flames would be aimed for the scroll, and not his actual body. Because the source of chakra emitted, was from the scroll. As the flames were extinguished Ichirou would catch the scroll in his free hand, the paper being only a little singed due to his quick execution (with the attack being spawned directly in front of him, and his ability to immediately recognize his own chakra) and would proceed with extending the technique that gave him levitation, to the scroll. And activated his Mokuton technique, to which Eric would descend, and Ichirou would carry out his Mokuton technique, leaving now a thick blanket of pollen coating the battlefield. His Miseigakure technique deactivated, and his Rinnegan active, he would assume his opponent had left the battlefield. As the pollen being controlled via Ichirou's chakra meant that he could feel another chakra presence if it existed within this pollen, none did. So his opponent must have fled for the time being. Ichirou would set up precautionary measures, remaining still within the air he would activate a white barrier around him, which would absorb any chakra that came into contact with it.

Fujutsu Kyuin - Blocking Technique Absorption Seal

Once this technique was set up, Ichirou would unleash the first stage of his Curse mark across his body, increasing his chakra levels as he prepared to absorb any sneaky counter attack produced by his opponent at this point. With his pollen still littering the zone it would be nigh forfeit for him to re-emerge in the forest, assuming he even actually used his shadow to retreat. Ichirou had seen earlier a technique similar to Hirashin, and it's possible his opponent may have escaped with this, however for the time being Ichirou would wait for his opponents next move.

Eric chuckled, surprised to find himself panting somewhat. His efforts to quickly defeat his foe seemed to have been in vain; here they were, practically right back to where their last fight ended. This time, however, Eric still had full battlefield control. However, this was not entirely to his advantage, for the source of that genjutsu was likely still on the battlefield.

Using his sensory connection to his shadow, he would ascertain Ichirou' location (as he no longer was invisible) and pick out the location of the scroll. While he could not tell from this experience which was emitting the genjutsu, Eric could assume that the barrier nature of the genjutsu suggested that it had emerge from the scroll, particularly during the brief time in which he could compare both using sage mode. After all, the barrier's chakra signature was different from that of Ichirou's, and thus, so would have been the scrolls.

Using this prior knowledge, Eric would understand that the genjutsu was being emitted from the scroll. Before he could return to the battlefield, he needed to neutralize that scroll. Using his control over the battlefield shadow yet again, Eric would attempt to seal the scroll within the shadow, thus taking it out of the fight.

Fūinjutsu: Kage Naraku Rō; Sealing Technique: Shadow Hell Prison

Watching his chakra levels, Eric would be somewhat grateful for this earlier absorption of chakra, meager as it had been, and for his hosting of one of the 5-tails. In his attempts to seal the scroll, it would also be a test to see how Ichirou would react this time around to his sealing attempt.

Ichirou's eyes snapped to the scroll as it was sealed away, Oh well. It's chakra was nearly depleted either way, For now Ichirou remained, his Rinnegan at the ready,   with his absorption barrier still present he should be fine for now, however he would retrieve the second of his three jutsu scrolls to assist him, The upside of these scrolls being that he needed not to waste his chakra unleashing the jutsu that was within them, as he merely had to undo the seal placed upon the scroll.  Upon forming the seal of confrontation the jutsu within the scroll would be unleashed, and the clouds in the sky would begin to rain down a black rain.

Suiton: Kokuu no Jutsu - Water Release: Black Rain Technique

The black rain that had spawned thanks to this scroll would fill the area fast, the black water covering the area in a thick, almost oil like substance. However. Ichirou would maintain his Fujutsu Kyuin in order to absorb chakra from the very Jutsu he had placed upon this area. Assisting in restoring his chakra reserves as he tossed the scroll to the side. Even if it were sealed too it's chakra was gone, and it had left it's mark upon the battlefield. Vanishing into the landscape once again via the Miseigakure no Jutsu, Ichirou would wait for his opponents return to the battle. His pollen still resting within the forest.

Eric, unaware of what precisely was going on outside, could take a guess that it had begun to rain shortly after he sealed off the scroll. Seeing as there was no interference with his sensory, then he could assume that this rain was not chakra draining, and was probably for the sake of detection.

Eric smirked. It was going to be risky, but he knew that he had to try something in order to beat his foe, especially if he were prepping a lightning storm of sort. Estimating where the front of his opponent was based on his last known location (which had been when he had worked his magic with the previous scroll) Eric would reach in his tools pouch and withdraw two flash bangs and five explosively equipped kunai.

The man would start with the two flashbangs. He would drop them through his shadow, having them appear within the relative vicinity in front of Ichirou that Eric had estimated, about only a few feet in front of him (this is based on if Ichirou has not relocated this whole time, which his posts suggests that he hasn't).

They would go off immediately after entering the real world, likely blinding Ichirou in a flurry of rainbow colors (due to the oily rain). This would disrupt his usage of any dojutsu for just a few moments. Immediately after this Eric would send the explosively tagged kunai; due to the flash they could not be as close to Ichirou, but they would be above and to the sides of him some way off, and their explosive radius would be just enough to encompass him.

The moment that their tags ignited in order to detonate, they would ignite the oil; the subsequent explosion would quickly spread the fiery oil and its flames, quickly setting ablaze the sky and soon to be the ground. This would incinerate Eric's earlier shadow barrier scroll, completely engulf his trench knife in liquid fire, and destroy both the pollen and any semblance of a forest or pollen down below.

Eric would have followed directly after this for a follow-up, but the great fire spreading very quickly alerted him to something amiss. After all, his shadow sensory was dominated by shadows, so when the shadow shifted considerably due to the light source that was rapidly consuming the zone, Eric refrained from following his weapons.

If Ichirou were indeed flashbanged, he would not be able to use the Rinnegan nor the sharingan, and leave him vulnerable to being burnt to a crisp by his own technique. This would likely put an end to the match, especially since Ichirou could not forever ward off the flames that were not themselves made up chakra, and thus couldn't be simply absorbed.

Ichirou had just began to change his position whenever Eric's perfectly timed flash bangs erupted, not having an effect of the same calibur as intended, but none the less effective. As they erupted, Ichi's ears would ring and he would be partially blinded for a short time. He would reach to his waist and trigger a weapon seal that would unleash a chakra infused clay ball around him, which would crack at the explosions due to their range, however this would also ignite the oil falling from the sky, Ichirou having heard the detonation of the tags knew that this would put him in a rather unwanted situation. Therefore had to cut his jutsu short, disabling it with the formation of a hand seal, causing the oil rain to cease. This would cause the Jutsu to not cover the battlefield to the extent Ichi had initially intended.  Meaning that the forest itself would not be set ablaze to the same extent as wanted, but instead would light small fires across the tree tops, which would in tandem ignite the pollen in the area, burning it up quickly and leaving the battlefield scarred with the charred trees and burned leaves, Ichirou himself had quickly darted out of the fiery clay ball, making sure to move quickly to keep his opponent from catching him in traps, shifting his sharingan back into his eyes for the time being, he would wait.
