Why not just create the option of making one's clan hall commentaries public?

Maybe even include some sort of blacklist/ignore list, since there's always the possibility of troublemakers.

This pretty much, but that is why in clans you have people who can go to the secret room to conduct business as well. Some clans may not do that necessarily, but it is an option. Some villages don't need to use the clan halls though, like Kiri, Konoha, Suna, Oto, ect.... They already have villages set up for that reason, but in what i'm suggesting is that you allow the clan requesting in and opt to disconnect them from the clan. That way if they want to RP in the halls, they must ask again.

I don't know what the people who work on this game have on the docket, but this certainly sounds like a useful idea to implement. It would be good for rp. Perhaps have the option to select what you want the visitor to be able to see, just the regular page or the secret rooms and such as well.

that can be accomplished through the clan rank system. just make the visitor rank low. they do not need to have access to clan functions. and when their rp is done. just have them turn in their key or take it back. like with dwellings. so as to avoid them having to join by leaving their own.

I was thinking if clan travel was an option that could be chosen, perhaps a link for clans that wish to be open could be placed in the clan waiting area?

This would be so awesome and useful! Just like scrying, but instead of villages actual clans themselves. Definitely could see this being quite useful in infiltration missions, diplomacy, joint clan RP events, and so forth. Hope it gets implemented in some shape or form in the future!

I'd like to bump up this thread even though it's old to refresh this idea :) I still think it'd be a great idea in regards to RP, since it would allow for people to visit other clans without having to leave their own.

The idea is a bit tricky.

What happens when people time out in an "open" clan, they close, they log in =/
Usually in areas that are not in an event but are reachable to you, it matters little.

I'd rather go with a scrying idea than a real visit. Which is, I realize, not very roleplay-ish.

On what can you agree on that makes sense?
Participating in the chat like scrying? Actually being in the clan hall (seeing most options + clan description)?

It will be a lot of work, because it'd need an invitation system added which also can revoke access prematurely. That's a lot of test cases.
