Heads up, laying train tracks across the desert is a bad idea. The sand worms would eat them for snacks.

You just have to figure out what repels sand worms and coat the tracks in that. Just like in One Piece where the Marines coat the bottom of ships with sea stone to keep sea kings away from the ships.

The airship isn't so strange, doesn't take terribly high tech stuff, I recall it was in the novel about Kakashi's time between last shippuuden chap and the last movie. Kinda interested in how'd the train work though, since it looks electric, not steam.

And kairouseki isn't so much a repellant, as it is a means to make the ships appear invisible to sea kings. For sand worms there isn't really anything they dread besides water in notable amounts, and I doubt I'd have to explain why that wouldn't really work across a desert.
