Awesome! Thanks, I've always been a fan of Monster Hunter and Toukiden Kiwami.
I find it would be cool to not know what the heck is going to pop up until you get there, then post a picture up.

The idea of crafting from the remains is a solid idea, though the points would in my opinion start to cause issues.

There are dozens of monsters out there You could adapt to use chakra or something similar. Some of them down right creepy and gargantuan.
Something like this for instance could be used to shoot acid or poisonous mist.

What if the points don't matter? Like bragging points. Just keeps track of how many hunts you've done but doesn't mean anything.
Just like Monster Hunter. A G-Ranked hunter could technically still be killed by a lowly bullfango.

If anything until i get the chance to hunt, I would like to help with monster selection and abilities if possible, I've got tons of time and wouldn't mind helping out. I've also got a bunch of monster hunting games <.< that i wouldn't mind playing and watching their attack's and sequences to help provide possible abilities and the like.

Ninja One: "So, I hear you died of crabs. Was it Ten-Ten?"

Ninja Two: "No, actually, you got it all wrong. You see, there was this woman in the forest begging for a a few of my hard earned turns, and wanting all the perks, I figured why not?"

Ninja One: "Seems legit. Which forest were you in?"

Ninja Two: "Kirigakure, same place Baluski gives you a hickie more dangerous than any debuff I've caught messing around with Ten-Ten."

Ninja One: "Okay, so what happened?"

Ninja Two: "Well, we were at the waterfall and all alone and with nobody around when the moonlight struck her. Next thing I know, a poof of smoke covers my vision. Now I go for my weapon when these two snakes thing bite me on my arm each-"

Ninja One: "Wait, what?"

Ninja Two: "Yeah, two snake things bite me on each arm and wrench me in the air. I see this large shell and what looks like the lady I was about to frog kata to the ground."

Ninja One: "Uh... One of Orochimaru's potion takers?"

Ninja Two: "No idea, but I got one bird's eye view of her rack before I split."

Ninja One: "... That seems like a lot of work to cover up that you croaked to the lady in the forest. I know she's fickle and all about that charm, but that's pretty slanderous, callin' her a monster and all."

Ninja Two: "I swear to you that is what happened!"

Ninja One: "Then where did the story of the crabs come from huh?"

Ninja Two: "Well, she had a huge shell, probably stolen, so maybe some fool mistook her for a crab. Who told you that story anyways?"

Ninja One: "The dancing lady in the forest."

Ninja Two: "... So how did you say you died again?"

Just had to get that outta my system.

Anyways, will a sticky of the topic listing the current hunts sate you for now?

What I think would be great is to move all the monster hunting threads over to mission headquarters, sticky-fy the rules and lists and current missions, change the name of the board to Monster Hunter's Guild and have at it.

With or without the name change, that child board is already dead as can be and could be put to good use.
