Yes, this event will still be occurring. Yet another participant singed up today, 3 more RP items for prizes were added, and the scavenger hunts are nearly crafted to completion. 4 GMs have committed. I would like more. So plan on seeing pms soon if you posted here that you were interested in that role or sent in an application to be a staff GM. Which by my quick count puts potential GMs up to 14, participants at 18.

Of course members who have me on ignore will not be contacted by Kay or my alts. So...potential GMs are at 13.

It is nearly time to begin the Chuunin Exams. Please go to the forum and submit a small bio about your character in the Chuunin Exam 2015 thread. Keep in mind at what level your character is fighting; this should be kept around genin level. It has been proposed that the following guidelines be followed as to the power set of your character:

Note concerning powers: Since you are testing for Chuunin, we really don't want tons of OP-ness here. Thinking about

...that sort of thing. So if your character has these skills, they are not usable during this exam. HOWEVER: just because your rank is not higher than chuunin does not mean you are weak, more than likely it only means you have not bothered to test for promotion within the ranks.

The purpose of submitting a bio is to have your power-set approved, the knowledge is OOC and other characters should not have knowledge of this information. It is assumed since your character is not yet chuunin, they do not yet have the notoriety for their abilities to be commonly knows throughout the realm. Certainly individual RP with said characters may have provided opportunity for this information to be learned by another character in-context of RP. At this time any Custom KG or Custom equipment will be reviewed for approval.

Breakdown of Skills:

Notice- Ken host a deformed chakra system making him unable to mold, shape, concentrate, etc chakra. Having had the Senju Chakra Concentration Seals placed on his hands and feet Ken can now concentrate chakra to these locations with the limitations of only be able to use a select few forms of nin/tai and activate seals.

Gates- due to a seal placed on the back and chest Ken can mentally open the first five gates.

Nin/Tai-
First Level_ Chakra Repel_ the user release an instant force of chakra from their hand to send a small blast of power outwards to repel an object. It is similar to a tech used in the Gentle Fist. The burst can reach up to one meter and knock an opponent off balance. It can also be used as a defence to protect from in coming attacks being able to push both physical object and chakra alike. Adding projectile weaponry into the mix can result in being able to fire/throw them faster and harder.

Second Level_ Enhanced Strength_ by gather chakra to the hand or foot one can then release it in an instant upon impact to add a more destructive force. This can result in being able to crush solid rock or even leave craters from impact.

Third Level_ Vibrating Chakra_ by gathering chakra around the hand or foot the user molds the chakra to a stable compact source that then vibrates at extremely high rates. This allows the user to then use their limb as a slicing tool able to cut through steel. The chakra can be extended from the limb up to six inches aswell applied to weapons to increase cutting ability.

Forth Level_ Weapon Coating_ the user extend their chakra outwards onto a weapon to coat it. The coating can reach up to ten meters on smaller long weapons such as wire or small chains. It can also be applied to projectile weaponry.

Taijutsu- Ken uses a mixture of high speed taijutsu which is increased when he removes his leg weights along with several forms of jujitsu and karate type moves. The majority of his techs are quick hitting blows meant to deal major damage as fast as possible. He plays being agile and light on his feet into the mix.

Kenjutsu/Weaponry- Ken uses an assortment of projectile type weapons along with black powder. He is also noted to use a short sword in the Art of the Tortoise Style Kenjutsu. Wires and small chains play a role as well.

Summoning- by using the seals on his hands Ken is able to release a small surge of chakra into seals holding weapons placed on his wrist and waist line. He does not carry any weapons outside these seals as to not be weighted down.

Other Notes- Ken wears bandages around his arms....and has signed bat summoning scroll.

Background:
Born and raised in Kumogakure, an only child to a married couple, unbeknownst to him, of the Ōtsutsuki clan. However, his parents hid their identity and lived as members of the Hyuuga clan. As such, Shinkiro was raised as a Hyuuga, learning their techniques. He would lose his parents at the age of 5 to a mercenary who found out his parent’s true identity. He was killed himself but was resurrected thanks to his parents’ creation of an advanced seal forge with their love, life energy, and chakra (Seal of the Phoenix). This seal placed on his birthmark has the ability to resurrect Shinkiro from the dead. He woke up in a state of confusion, shock and sadness when he bore witness to the limp bodies of his parents. Swallowed by sorrow on a night when it was raining, the horrific night seems to move Mother Nature herself to tears. Found by a woman, unbeknownst to him, who was his aunt. She came to help his parents, but was too late. She saw Shinkiro with eyes of pity and decided to raise the boy as her own. She would take the boy far away, training him in various arts needed to survive in this harsh world called life. For five years under the woman’s tutelage, Shinkiro has shown proficiency in areas of taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu, and fuinjutsu. He quickly discovered that he was a natural archer, quickly becoming adept at archery. He has chakra natures in wind, water, and earth.  His time with the woman gave Shinkiro insight into her business as a bounty hunter, picking up various skills and qualities of the trade. But was most important to Shinkiro was that the woman helped him deal with the trauma of losing his parents and gave him the strength to continue living. However, Shinkiro has not moved on as he vowed to avenge his parents by seeking out and killing the mercenary who did it. But he first needs to get stronger to do that…

• Byakugan – Because Shinkiro was raised and trained as a Hyuuga, he has the knowledge and capability to perform the clan’s abilities and techniques.
• Kyujutsu – His skills with a bow and arrow is rivaled only by his teacher, able to hit targets far away with deadly accuracy and sheer swiftness.
• Fuinjutsu – attached to his arrows are seals that are wrapped around the shaft in camouflage fashion. The seals carry various effects such as explosive, electric, smoke, etc.
• Arrows – All of his arrows are made of an alloy of special metals that makes them very durable, have a high resistance to corrosion and heat while having near zero magnetic attraction. At the tip of most of his arrows lies a drill that increases their penetration, allowing them to pierce through about half an inch of steel.

Jiro boasts the tools of trade akin to many of his fellow suna mercenaries-- a handful of kunai, exploding tags, smoke bombs, shuriken, a summoning scroll and a single tantō dubbed Ashigaru, or the footsoldier, named so because of it's dependability to help him escape from near-death scenarios. Ashigaru is 11 inches long and employs a sharpened, double-edged blade.

Beneath his robes Jiro wears two thin, steel shin guards to minimise the collateral damage to his legs when engaged in close-combat taijutsu.

SYNOPSIS

Jiro specialises in long-range combat and deceit-- utilising his ichizoku's fabled shadow manipulation abilities to control and/or restrain his adversaries whilst he assimilates the best way to eliminate them without wearing himself out. A sub-par chakra capacity means that long, sustained battles are hazardous. If it comes to close-combat, Jiro is adept at kenjutsu-- however he tends to shy from it unless necessary or if he is confident he won't come out second-best.

Dear Genin Participant!

The group of Samurai who protected the Daimyo during the 4th war will be hosting the Chuunin Exams in Jiseigakure. On Monday the 21st, a narrative post will be made concerning the opening ceremonies. Afterward, you can RP going to the assignment center there to meet with your personal examiner/GM. They will assign you your first hunt quest. In pms you can discuss when and where to conduct the RP. After retrieval of the item, return to Jiseigakure to turn it in at the assignment center and receive your second hunt quest.
