Might be because of the new Youtube Red (..or redtube )

http://youtube-global.blogspot.com/2015/10/red.html

The decision to remove videos are up to the users i think, not youtube. But it could as well be both via a partnership or something if they have a lot of views.

Apparently if the page owners choose to not agree to YouTube red their videos are set to private and become impossible to be viewed in the u.s meaning you can still watch them in other countries just not here. I'm on my phone atm but I'll put up my source and yeah it's on the news now >.>

View "some" videos, not all.

The free, ad-supported version of YouTube we all know and love isn’t going anywhere. You’ll still be able to enjoy YouTube, along with the YouTube Kids, Gaming and Music apps free of charge. But with YouTube Red, you’ll be able to support the people who make your favorite videos while watching what you want, when you want, on any device you want, uninterrupted.

From the so far given source, it doesn't seem like they plan on going full Netflix. They are more going Hulu-ish.
