The sun stared at the world without pause, unobstructed by a crystal clear sky. Predictably, the indigenous plant life would wither under the fiery orb’s incessant scrutiny while the distant treeline would sag as if exhausted. Alas, despite the deary spectacle, all would be still. Though suddenly, as the proverbial clock would strike noon, the serene meadows would surge with energy as a gust of wind blew south; an unnatural aroma of petrichor carried by the gale.

In the distance, a hooded figure could be seen approaching with the wind at his back, garbed in a unique grey cloak that was brandished with the symbol of the Otsutsuki. The wind would cause his attire to agitate, momentarily revealing a number of the man’s features that were hidden beneath.

He wore the standard Konohagakure standard infantry clothing: a flak jacket, dark blue pants, and a short-sleeve shirt. His hands would be covered by fingerless gloves bearing metals plates with the leaf village’s crest, while around his waist he wore a belt donning Myoboku’s unique design. From this a number of various pouches would hang, each containing a multitude of tools for his use; all of which were marked with a seal unique to him, with a number of organic components littered about as well.

With a breathy sigh, the man would reach up to remove the hood that shadowed his face, revealing the blanched eyes of the Byakugan; veins already protruding while he utilized his Kekkei Genkai as a means of navigation. Within his mindscape, a voice would ring forth.

“Boy, you know it is unsafe to travel alone. With the ongoing Chuunin Exams, the unsavory types are sure to make moves on people of interest such as yourself.”

With a boyish chuckle, the Sannin would run his thumb across the tip of his nose. “Don’t you worry about me Chomei, I’ve got you to protect me!”

With a grunt, the massive beetle would flex it’s wings. “You are far too reckless for me to keep tabs on. Now hurry and finish your training before it’s time for supper. If I overheard correctly, Shima is planning quite the feast upon your return.”

Grinning, Rusaku would punch his hand into the opposing palm. “All right! She was telling me about a new beetle recipe she wanted to try out!”

“That’s not funny…”

After enjoying his own dark humor, the Otsutsuki would quickly begin to do a variety of stretches in order to limber up for the intended training.

Taiga Saejima would creep forth from the treeline ahead of Rusaku. The man was currently clad only in tabi boots and a loose fitting pair of green pants, ripped at the waist and ankles, secured by a black cloth belt. His tanned skin was crossed with many stitch marks, as if he was held together entirely by thread. Long black hair hung half way down his back and his eyes, one 3 Tomoe Sharingan and one Byakugan, bore black sclera, the sign of a Reincarnated.

The giant of a man began to walk forward, the vision of his Byakugan zooming in on Rusaku, trying to get an eye on any tools or secrets he might be hiding.

"Been a while since I've killed a Leaf ninja!"

The man called out as he continued toward Rusaku, his Killing Intent laid bare, he'd continue till he stood thirty feet from the man.

"As a matter of fact the last one I killed, whose heart and guts are still inside me as we speak, was your Yondaime Hokage. When I crack you open I guess I'll see if they still make em' like they used to."

Obviously, the anomaly of a man would be spotted well before reaching his desired location, giving Rusaku a good amount of time to examine a number of details about Saejima.

The first and most prominent being his composition; a thread body with 5 hearts contained within. He had run across this technique before while interacting with a particular Uzumaki, so a myriad of counters would begin to formulate within the Otsutsuki’s mind, despite a lack of killing intent felt at that time.

Once Taiga had make his peace, the tailed beast within would cackle.

“I told you someone was going to try something…” To which Rusaku would simply furrow his brow.

Obviously, this man had every intention of taking his life, thus he felt no need to waste time with idle chat, and would initiate.

In a blur of motion, Ruskau would suddenly form a single hand seal to utilize the Kagemane no Jutsu in order to manipulate the surrounding shadows to his will.

Linking his shadow to that of the thousands of blades of grass that surround the area, the Otsutsuki would aim to create a lattice work of thousands of miniature shadows to create an indomitable area of effect that would seem to encompass 100 meters in all directions almost instantly with the intentions of capturing and immobilizing the man before him. This of course was a tactic he had learned from Athos during their training.

It was then that two things would happen. The first would be that a red layer of chakra would emanate outwards in a form that mimicked boiling liquid, encapsulating the boy in his 2 tailed cloak. This served to not only enhance his physical abilities, but the strength of his techniques exponentially.

With this in mind the second event would occur. Shifting to the snake seal, Rusaku would suddenly inspire the rapid growth of Mokuton within the area all around Saejima in the form of wooden spikes. (Various distances, the farthest being 10 meters)

20 spikes in total, the first 15 would to penetrate the man’s flesh and into the various hearts that he held within his body, while the remaining 5 would aim to penetrate the man’s skull, and into his brain, hoping to end the fight before it started.

Assuming he had survived the attack, Taiga would be quick to discover the nature of this Mokuton. Having trained under the Senju Grand Master, Rusaku’s Mokuton had gained the ability to absorb foreign chakra that it came into contact with, causing an already deadly Kekkei Genkai to become far more dangerous.

Saejima would be caught in the Shadow Imitation, since it was essentially instant. However since he was presumably being forced to mimic his opponent's movements (Shadow Imitation was specifically named after all) than Saejima would be able to take advantage of being forced to make a snake seal. He would cause the portion of earth he is standing on to rocket up into the air and avoid the wooden spikes aiming to penetrate him. The portion of earth would continue to rise until it was high enough that neither it nor Saejima would cast a shadow, presumably freeing him from the jutsu.

Regardless of whether or not this happened he would ascend to the second stage of his Curse Mark, the jagged lines of the mark washing over his body in a glowing red light, his form growing even taller and bulkier. As the light abated his skin would have taken on a deep red tone, his increased muscle mass visibly strained his skin and his hands were large enough for each one to engulf a man's head, spikes that seemed to be bone grew from his elbows and even larger ones grew from his back, his teeth grew to sharp points and two massive canines were more like tusks than teeth, and 8 horns would grow from his head, two curving downward from his jaw, four from each side of his head, and two larger horns curving upward from the top.

His already low voice would have deepened farther, a positively demonic tone,

"Another beast... I'll tear it from you."

This Curse Mark was unique in that is was developed conjunctively between Saejima, with his Sage Mode abilities, and Bocchiere, with his knowledge in Curse Marks. The power it unleashed basically put Saejima in Perfect Sage Mode while retaining the monstrous appearance of a Curse Mark user, this one was called the Curse Mark of the Asura. One of the masked thread creatures on Saejima's back would begin to gather further Natural Energy for him.

While still hovering in the air Saejima would make a kata and perform a Sage Mode enhanced Hosenka no Jutsu. The fireballs maintained their normal size, a bit smaller than a person, but Saejima expelled over 500 of them, attempting to scour the entire grassy field, and Rusaku, with fire.

It seems things were starting to heat up.

After witnessing the man’s metamorphosis, it came as no surprise that he could produce such vast numbers when it came to the phoenix flower technique, but numbers would not be enough.

With his hand retaining the snake seal, he would influence the Mokuton’s growth to new heights. Wishing to save a majority of the grasslands for future use, Rusaku would utilize the Kajukai Kōrin technique to produce a field changing upsurgence.

In every direction, massive trees would sprout expeditiously, turning the once empty grasslands into a vivacious forest in seconds. His tailed beast enhancements adding a new level of ferocity to the technique in question.

From this, some of the largest trees would aim to capture the numerous fireballs in their leaves and branches to stop their descent and burning of the grasses, along with the Sannin himself. While this would indeed cause the trees to catch fire momentarily, as previously mentioned, Rusaku’s Mokuton can absorb chakra that it comes into contact with. As the fire would remain in contact with the leaves, all chakra supporting it’s life would be snuffed out, spurring further growth of the woodlands while they continued forth to try and ensnare Taiga in an attempt to capture, and crush him and his hearts with overwhelming force.

At the same time, 5 large flowers would begin to bloom; each at a different location within the now flourishing thicket. The first being 25 meters to the southwest, the second being 36 meters to the North, the third being 100 meters to the West, the 4th being 73 meters to the East while the 5th and final flower would be 48 meters to the North-East.

Should they be allowed to reach maturity, the flowers would begin to release a unique pollen into the air, polluting the area with it’s presence. If inhaled, or contact with the skin is made, the pollen would leave behind a neurotoxin, that quickly causes the affected areas to deteriorate, breaking down the tissue of the nervous system rapidly.

This concoction would be a product of Myoboku’s native inhabitants, thus Rusaku would be unaffected entirely due to extensive training he received while being raised there.

While this was happening, Rusaku would also begin to emit a low pitched whistle, imitating the tune of the imperial march. With this action, he would utilize the Weather manipulation hiden, causing the surrounding winds to pick up exponentially as they would shift and spiral around Saejima, attempting to not only carry the infectious pollen in his direction, but to also create a vortex containing thousands of miniature cutting wind blades around his person that was to assault him in conjunction with the growing forest. With Rusaku's mastery of not only the hiden itself, but the Rasenshuriken technique, such a feat would not strain the Sannin or his chakra control ability.

Finally, from the man’s back, a mass of wood would begin to sprout forth. Immediately the mass would take the shape of it’s creator, revealing itself to be a Mokuton bunshin. Unlike the original, it lacked the tailed beast chakra cloak, but instead donned his transcended eyes; the Tenseigan.

Quickly the clone would break itself from Rusaku, and begin to dash into the growing forest on the left. Using a number of parkour based acrobatics to traverse the foliage, the clone would aim to create a good distance between himself and the ongoing battle. It seemed he had a destination in mind, but where was a mystery.

Saejima would see that the woods, seemingly on their own, snuffed out his fire. Between his two Doujutsu he would be able to see that the chakra had in fact been absorbed out of the fire to extinguish it. That was new, but irrelevant, his chakra was bottomless.

As the trees continued to grow toward him he would raise himself higher and higher into the air to avoid them and, as he saw the chakra-filled torrent swirl to life around him, carrying the pollen, would expel a blast of chakra from various Tenketsu all around his body.

Jūkenhō Ichigekishin

The Hyuuga clan technique was enhanced by the Sage Mode chakra as well and the powerful discharge would deflect and dispel the torrent of wind and any of the noxious pollen it was carrying toward him. He was above where the pollen would naturally spread to but of course nothing was stopping Rusaku from continuing to blow the pollen toward him so Saejima would use his moments reprieve to take the plants completely out of the equation. He'd mentally intone,

"Hachimon: Kyōmon: Kai!"

His skin would become an even deeper red and his body would be enveloped by a green aura. It could be confused for an aura of chakra but was in fact sweat that was being excreted only to instantly evaporate due to the heat energy of his body in this state. He'd raise one hand with the palm open in front of his face and merely tap it with his other hand, balled into a fist. This would instantly create a titanic amount of air pressure which Saejima would launch downward at his opponent by making a special kata.

"Hirudora!"

The massive blast would take the shape of a raging tiger and crash down almost instantly, aimed between Rusaku and his fleeing clone, before being detonated by Saejima. The resulting explosion would be large enough to completely obliterate the forest created by Rusaku, and then some, being large enough to dwarf a massive (turtle) island, Saejima himself was only just out of range.

The blast would tear up the ground and leave Rusaku truly no where to go to avoid it, so it would seemingly be a matter of whether or not he could survive the blast.

With Byakugan active, Rusaku would be more than capable of comprehending Saejima’s actions and thus could devise a suitable counterattack. Having trained with a number of gates users, the 7th gate would not be unfamiliar to the Sannin.

With a mental que, the retreating clone would suddenly turn on a dime, running up one of the various sprouting trees with blinding speed; his form even becoming blurred when combined with the speed of the advancing trees.

From his pack, it would produce a single kunai; one marked with the a unique seal. With kunai in hand, it would launch the projectile towards the Edo just as he was reaching the end of his makeshift walkway. This of course would happen at nearly the exact same time as the launching Daytime tiger.

In conjunction with the clones actions, the original Rusaku would produce his own kunai. One hand he would hold within both hands at a horizontal angle, aimed upwards in order to meet the impending destruction.

Suddenly, in the air before him, a massive fuinjutsu would sprout, acting as a barrier to intercept the incoming mass of air pressure, buckling momentarily under the immense burden before warping the attack away entirely just as it was about to detonate.

Don’t worry. It’s coming back.

Instantly, the massive attack would re-appear in the air where the doppelganger's kunai had been traveling, now aimed back upon the techniques originator. Having previously stated that Saejima would be “Just outside of the blast radius”, one could assume the roles would now be reversed once the attack detonated, with Rusaku just outside of the range of attack and Saejima facing imminent destruction.

Lastley, in order to try and insure the counter’s success, the clone would perform it’s last action. Utilizing the Tenseigan’s version of the Banshō Ten'in, the clone would reach out with the intention of latching onto Saejima’s torso, and pulling him in the direction of the incoming attack. This would serve two purposes. The first being to aid in the counter’s connection. The second being an attempt to stop the zombie from using it Rotation to deflect the assault by removing the ability to rotate his body trough typical means.

(OOC) It has been agreed upon that the Daytime Tiger attack was mistakenly believed to have been launched at the original Rusaku. It was actually launched between him and his fleeing clone. After examining the manga we have come to the conclusion that the Time-Space Barrier can stretch, roughly, 130 feet away from the caster. The clone has been decided to be that same distance away from Rusaku and thusly the attack, in spite of being aimed at neither directly, would still strike Rusaku's barrier.

Upon further examination of other manga panels it was determined that Daytime Tiger is roughly 174 feet tall. Demonstrated here where the 6 foot tall Might Guy is stacked up in front of his attack. 29 Guy's high.

https://i.gyazo.com/3446820efefd412b818fe26084e2667d.png

It is certainly not perfect but since Guy seems to be bent at an angle in this particular image and thus not extended to his full 6 feet I'm going to say that it cancels out and that 174 feet is a fair number. On with the show. (/OOC)

Rusaku may have known of the 7th Gate but he seems to have underestimated the power of Saejima's attack all the same. By throwing the kunai he intended to teleport the attack to at Saejima, just before the attack was launched, he would be throwing the kunai upwards and directly into the Hirudora's path. The massive tiger would sweep up the kunai knife and drag it back down to earth.

The titanic attack would collide with Rusaku's barrier (along with the man's knife) as he intended but with the proposed destination for it spoiled he was surely doomed. If only there had been a safer, sure to work way he could have defended himself. He could still of course teleport the attack to the knife but as it was within the tiger that would be entirely pointless. He could perhaps claim that he has Hiraishin marks on his body, and so his clone would too, but since the clone is only 130 feet away and the blast created will be large enough to wipe out most of the zone that adjustment would be almost entirely negligible.

So, whether the attack is exploding on the space-time barrier after Rusaku had no where to send it or on top of the bunshin after Rusaku decided to futilely warp the attack there they would still be engulfed by the blast. The Hiraishin kunai would be destroyed by this of course so if Rusaku had any plans to just warp away the blast over and over again until it dispersed (which would be difficult and chakra taxing as the blast lasts for upwards of 40 seconds and is the size of a large island) he would have no where to send it but the hypothetical marks on his own body, which would of course kill him.

If the Tenseigan wielding clone was still willing and able to attempt to pull Saejima with his Deva-esque ability than the man would of course be able to feel the pull upon himself. In response he would extend threads from his legs and have them wrap around the chunk of earth he was standing on, anchoring him to the spot. That combined with his own already monstrous strength enhanced by Sage Mode and the 7th Gate would allow him to easily resist the pull.

Even as the blast was expanding Saejima would raise one hand with the palm open in front of his face and merely tap it with his other hand, balled into a fist. This would instantly create a titanic amount of air pressure which Saejima would launch downward at his opponent by making a special kata.

"Hirudora!"

What? You can't be too careful.

As the first blast was just petering out the second tiger would crash down, aimed at the same spot, and would again explode in the same massive island sized blast. Saejima's muscles would begin to be shredded from the influence of the 7th Gate at this point (His Strongest Shield level of durability combined with Sage Mode enhancements had resisted thus far) but since they were merely threads that he had complete control over he simply willed them to regrow and reweave themselves. He would not have to rely on the regeneration of Edo Tensei at all.

Even if he had somehow survived the first blast surely Rusaku was now dead.

It seems Saejima had a misconception about where Rusaku could send this attack. Indeed the original intention was to send the attack at the kunai, but it was not his only option.

Seeing the blast engulf his kunai, he would curse under his breath for the miscalculation, but hope was not lost. As the Tiger would be snuffed out by the barrier, it would be warped away to a marker located at the center of Konoha’s forest, exploding only to level the woodland by a great amount.

For the second blast, that would be a different story. Clapping his hands together, he would perform the Hobi technique whist increasing the number of tails sprouting from his back to 4.

The durable dome of wood would sprout up in time to shield the Otsutsuki from the onslaught of Daytime tigers, alas requiring more chakra to keep it sustained whist the attack roared on. Reducing his tails from 4, back down to 2 he would supply the shield with enough energy to sustain itself.

Now, despite Saejima’s current location, if the Daytime tiger had enough force to uproot a forest, it would have more than enough to destroy the earth pillar that he had been standing on. Especially considering it’s base was only 30 feet from where Rusaku currently stood. This of course would make his footing moot, and he would more than likely fall into the range of his own attack whilst repairing his thread muscles.

Rusaku has conceded the match, the victor is Saejima.

Saejima's theme song plays as he hefts the 7 Tailed Title belt into the air, his Curse Mark receding and his Gates being closed. He throws the belt over his shoulder before walking out of the zone.
