Hero's Guild: Cat Trouble!
« on: December 15, 2015, 01:38:55 AM »

Sitting outside of the road leading into Carne Village sat a little girl. She wore a light blue dress over her body, a bow in her brown hair to match. She sat with her knees pulled up against her chest, a sad look in her mud colored eyes.

Was following the road towards Carne Village when he spotted a small girl hugging her knees. He would walk up to her and see that she is the one he was looking for and would speak softly as not to scare the young girl,
"Hi there I saw your request to find your cat, I am here to help you."
Giving his smile he would offer her his hand before asking her something
"What's the cat's name and where did you last see it?"

The little girl's face would light up as she saw the man, and the armor he was wearing. She would take his hand and soon be on her feet, dusting herself off,"You came! Thank you!" She was exploding with joy, wasting no time running off away from the village, motioning for him to follow,"Mr. Fluffles is over here!"

He chuckled at her enthusiasm and followed her only a few steps behind.
"I'm sure Mr. Fluffles will be glad to see you."

The girl led the man happily into an open field and slowly up a hill, at the top of the hill was a slightly tilted tree. The tree stood at twenty feet tall, the trunk looking like it was split near the roots. There were to thicker and longer branches stretched towards the sky while the rest of it was covered in thick, lush leaves and a plethora of branches. The tree was almost out of place within such an open area and location.

In the thick green of leaves of the tree, there was a black and white cat, sitting there, sleeping. There was a red color around it's neck and the girl squealed, running towards the tree and up the hill,"Mr. Fluffles, I brought someone to save you!"

Upon reaching the tree upon this hill he would look around taking in his surroundings.it was odd this was only tree in this field let alone a tree in a field period but he was here to do a job and to get to the cat, Ray would take his ax and grab the blade part as he would use the handle to try and poke at the cat to arouse it from its slumber and hopefully make it jump where Ray would be able to safely catch it.

As the man poked at the tree, the cat would start to flutter it's eyes. A few branches would fall as he poked at the tree, causing a few leaves to fall. The cat would stretched on the branch, causing it to move even more, knocking into a few other branches and causing them to move. But even when the cat stopped moving, the branches kept moving. The cat would start to dig it's claws into the tree, as if preparing to hold for dear life. And the girl's face was slowly draining of color.

There was a sudden, loud creaking, like when a large wooden ship struggles to stay together. One of the large branches of the tree would come down suddenly, surprising quick, aiming to slam into the unexpecting Ray's right side and swat him to the side like a fly. Whether he blocked or not, the strike had enough strength to send him to the side regardless. Of course, now the tree's truck would pull from the ground and the reason it looked like it was split made sense; it was two legs. The two large branches ended with three thick long branches, this being the arms and three fingered hands of the Ent, whose face could not be seen on the trunk.

It spread it's legs and hunched slightly, fully being awake now and turning it's head towards the child, taking a step towards her.

Just as soon as he thought he had this mission in the bag, Ray would be flying through the air breathless as he hacked up spit fro an impact along his right side. He landed a few feet away and gasped for air as he struggled to stand upon his shaking legs. He was stunned as he never expected an ent to be here let alone where that damn cat would be resting at. Not trying to waste time, Ray would quickly return and in his return, using his full force, would slam his ax into the creatures right side, aiming to leave a gash with his weapon. He would also keep an eye on the cat to see if it made any odd movement.

The Ent's attention was on the girl, having deciding that the girl was it's next target. But then it let out a growl as the ax would connect with it's side, creating a gash on it's side. It would turn suddenly, towards where the pain had been, trying to slice at Ray with it's fingertips. It aimed to not only smack him to the side and tear at his armor with it's jagged branches.

Of course, the cat was clinging to the branches that were the Ent's 'hair' for it's life but it seemed to be safe for now. The little girl, of course, was frozen in fear as the man attacked the living tree. Tears formed in her eyes.

Dodged the limbs from this living tree, He would rush back and grab the small girl running away to a safe distance approx 20 meters away. He would smile and touch her cheek gently
"Mr. Fluffles will be okay I promise."
With that he took off at the ent this time weaving a hand sign and when done he would stomp the ground creating earthen spikes to spear the Ent at its roots to take out it's movements.

The girl would claps her hands together once she was done being carried away by the man, watching him go with fearful and worried eyes.

The Ent was a slow monster, of course, so it had only made it to the bottom of the hill by the time Ray had started making his way back. As the earth spikes came up to tear into it's legs, the would create gashes and tears, one sticking through it's left leg. With another roar of pain, shaking the ground, it would move forward as if ultimately unhidered. It's hands came to swipe at Ray once it got close, trying to grasp him in both hands.

Would deftly dodge the incoming branch hands by ducking and going left and when he was where he wanted he would bring the ax down on it's left primary branch in order to sever its limb in order to cripple it further.

The beast screamed again in pain as part of it's arm was separated from the rest of it, retracting it's arm suddenly, bringing his right arm dragging across the ground. It tore out pieces of earth, causing them to fly at the man, all while trying to slam him into the ground. The rocks tried to bruise his skin and even create a few gashes while the strike creating it wanted to send him flying off his feet violently again.

Would indeed be hit by the flying debris, but would use the steel of his ax to take the hit sending him flying a few feet but with less damage. He gritted his teeth as he would focus chakra into his knuckle, but before he would attack again he would create a clone in which it's primary duty to distract the Ent. Before leaving to attack, Ray transferred his bakuton chakra to the clone. WIth that done the clone would attack at the Ent while the real Ray went after the cat as he would get close he would jump into the Ent's branches in hopes of getting to the cat

Of course, as the clone charged towards the Ent, it moved forward with an angry scream. As the clone tried to attack, the Ent moved it's only good arm to try and grab Ray's clone in it's fingers in a tight grasp. Of course, if it was able to grab the clone, it'd proceed to try and break it's body and kill it almost instantly.

Though, this also meant that Ray would have been able to make it on top of the Ent. As he would land in the upper part of the Ent, it would roar and suddenly start to shake it's head violently.

Once Ray was in the tree near the Cat, the cat jumped into his right arm, digging it's nails straight through his arms and into his flesh, shaking and not willing to let go.
