Of course he had to be here...Indeed at this point in time, the newly named Yakekogi found himself waiting patiently at the center of a massive grassland, five hundred feet from any sign of foliage all around. More specifically, the man found himself answering a summons. The call to battle was not one he could resist. Especially when it was from the very person he recently accepted under the phoenix's wing, in a quite literal fashion.

There was a light breeze on the autumn afternoon. It was not yet early enough in the season to cause the color change in the leaves, but the meager bite in the air certainly proved that it was here. And yet Manji stood with no discomfort to the environment in his loose clothing. Beneath his formal attire lie the gear he attained within his time as a ROOT operative in the past. Despite what may have seemed to be a thick, fire proof, titanium-wire woven vest, and shinobi 'slacks', worn by most ANBU, they would fit quite comfortably beneath the white vest and hakama he wore over them. The wind would stand little chance in affecting him. And yet, had someone come near his form, they could tell that it was twenty degrees hotter than normal for 20 feet away.

Staring at the east, in hopes his opponent would arrive from that location, he stood idly with the sun at his back. He was content with the subtle heat on the back of his neck, conflicting with the cool air.

Such a long field, such a long walk between that farming town and this patch of grassland. His abilities, previously active,  from his last bout had left his system and the cool down that followed allowed him to regain his own cool. Unlike his opponent, the temperature around him was in the opposite side of the spectrum, by 15 degrees.

Even still, he knew who his next opponent was going to be. Thus, as he made his way there, he tore his tattered clothing from his frame, pants included. Even as he walked, his chakra pulsed around him and with a sweep of his hands, white karate styled pants appeared on his person. Around him, the black belt dangled (tied tightly to hold his pants up). On each ends, on both sides were a dull red tomoe, resembling one a Sharingan would hold, causing their to be four in total. These were Sage Seals, much like those that decorated his left abdomen, which were in the shape of diamonds, holding the same colors on his lightly tanned skin. Speaking of which, the rest of his frame was covered in black seals, unsealing white tape and wrapping it around his hands, fingers and up his forearms as he looked ahead to see Manji, nearly as clear as day. His eyes were like hawks when he needed them to be, something that made him skilled in long range, just as well short range.

Once he was finished tying tape around his hands, he lightly tapped the Argent on his wrists and ankles, making sure not to forget they were there. His golden hues didn't leave the visage of his opponent and his most recent friend. The man was strong enough to be a Tsuchikage, so taking him lightly wouldn't be a good idea. It wasn't like he took his former fight lightly, but he had to also pace himself there. He would do the same here.

As always, his feet were bare and his hair hadn't had time to grow back, remaining short for the time being. With the sun ahead of him, his shadow danced behind him. The sun was an hour or two from setting. "See no evil... hear no evil... speak no evil. Do not fear evil, for evil will always lose against good. Fear chaos, for it is the force that birthed evil." The words slipped through his lips in a soft mumble, as if it were a prayer to his God, which it was. As soon as he was finished, his aura took a major shift, growing darker than usual.

He watched his opponent make his entrance, slightly put off at his initial change of appearance, but giving it no second thought as he waited for him to come within the hundred foot range. There would be no time to waste, and that's why he would begin the first move, reaching behind his form to lift a fair sized sack from his lower back, holding it in front of him before turning it upside down after undoing the loosely tied knot in the string holding it closed. Sprinkling from the pouch would be chakra filled ashes. The light breeze carried them forward somewhat slowly, covering five feet ahead of him.

"Ashes to ashes right?" He asked himself, inwardly shaking his head at the pun as he watched them fall out before returning his attention to the oncoming Jay. Now was no longer the time to distract himself from an opponent who could likely close the distance in a matter of a few moments. For now, these ashes would have no meaning, at least until he clapped his hands together. He needed to test the man's strength, and the perfect method would be to utilize the widespread jutsu known as Fuuton: Daitoppa which would allow him to manipulate the winds in front of him to expand outwards at about a hundred-twenty miles per hour. The velocity at which they traveled could rip roofing from a house and overturn mobile homes. The strength of such could easily lift a human being a carry them away for quite a distance. Sixty feet for an exact number. They would also carry his ashes forward, and due to their extremely light nature, they would go much much further, easily closing the distance between them due to their nature of sticking to objects. In this case, the uplifted grasses and dirt from the intense winds would serve as their 'trojan horses'.

Even the grass would be picked up with the wind, all across the battlefield for fifty feet out. And with the battle having been started with his gesture, Manji would extend his right palm quite easily inside of his ANBU vest over his heart and without so much as a flash, a mask would appear within his grip, completely black in color with a few red lines here and there, detailing it to resemble a fox's face. Had Jay been sensing at this moment, he would be able to see that this mask held a chakra signature of its own, although there was no way currently he could see the mask. In reality, this was his Root mask, now adhered directly to his skin. Its purpose would be revealed later, but alas he was now as prepared for this fight as he could be. He, however, did note his dark aura mentally. Interesting indeed as it felt almost reminiscent to the zero-tailed leach he once hosted. Almost. Perhaps it was some enhancement for the former kage to be wary of.

Manji ahead of him seemed to be rather troubled by his own appearance, but he was not in the mood to take this lightly. This was entirely more serious than a normal spar and with his opponent being a living, breathing, person, he was sure that it would be a much better chance for him. He watched as the man removed ash from a sack and knew that he wasn't going to be allowed to get closer in the conventional means. 'Ashes to ashes indeed.' He thought to himself (having read the man's lips) as the dark chakra surged around him. Once the man clapped his hands, he went action as well.

Daitoppa, a technique he was all too familiar with. While he wasn't worried about the wind, he was so of what it carried. Even as the ash moved towards him, he wondered what it's ulterior motive could possibly be. Instead of choosing to figure this out, he instead pulsed his chakra in a more manipulative manner, it being a product of Myaku Seikei (Pulse Shaping) which rid himself of needing hand seals. The technique chosen was of the earthen persuasion, the ground around him, about 4 meters around him, sank as the dirt lifted up and wrapped around him in a decent sized cube. The technique plainly stated as Doton: Doro no Heya, in which it used the moisture in the grass below to cause the outside of the cube to be a tad moist.

Doing such would surely cause the ash to stick to the cube, despite the ashes' already clinging nature. The inside of the cube would be more than solid enough to withstand the buffering winds for a second or two. During that time, being careful with the speed of his technique usage, he proceeded to sink underground in the Doton: Dochu Senku technique. Because the man hadn't yet activated any sensory technique, the Nara would be able to swim towards the man at high speeds, utilizing the blind spot to his advantage.

Even as the Nara rapidly rush towards the man beneath the ground, he would aim to reach up and split the surface of the dirt and grab at Manji's left foot. Instead of pulling the man inside of ground, he would instead attempt to push explosive chakra into the man's entire left leg. If he was successful in grabbing the man's ankle, Manji would feel the chakra pushing into him. "Give up, my friend, or this is gonna be nasty." A moment of clarity in his darkened aura. The warning would be established, but only if he was successful with the grabbing of the ankle.

On the off chance that he wasn't successful, despite the unexpected nature of his attack, he would be forced to immerge from the ground. If such a thing was to happen, he would react to anything in real time, it all depended on his opponent.

Indeed his opponent's maneuver would have gone unnoticed if not for the fact that Manji was simply unable to mistake the potency of dark chakra. On top of  being a capable sensor, he could almost taste the darkness as it moved underground from its former position within the earthen prison.

He did however notice how once the ash and grass latched upon the wall, they simply stuck. It would serve only to be a minor setback for Manji as the chakra that was placed within them would begin to activate, super heating the ashes. This would cause the grass the ashes latched upon to combust and incinerate, and with the wind chakra from the jutsu having never dispersed from using the jutsu, the chakra in the ashes, remotely controlled to shift into the Katon element would 'eat' the constantly fed wind chakra backwards within a single moment's notice, engulfing everything in front of Manji for the dimensions previously stated in a fiery explosion. Manji could only guess how much heat resistance the opponent had, but considering Jay's time with the phoenix had proven a bit fruitful, Manji had to take the flames to a height he didn't imagine the acolyte could resist just yet with his Fuuton fuel: nine thousand degrees, and that was due simply to the fact that Fuuton and Katon served to be a volatile mix. No doubt the grass, and other such foliage within the wide attack would turn to ash as well fit for Manji's later usage.

However, that was simply Manji's first move done at the drop of a mere mental command after following the dark chakra with his eyes, and feeling the chakra rise beneath his feet. Of course at the same time, Manji would backpedal about two quick hop-steps (which would serve to send him back ten feet with five feet per step) as well, just before the hand emerged, followed by his enemy exploding from the ground with the Yakekogi landing from his second step at this moment in time.

Setting off the chain reaction was no difficult feat to pull off and thus he could afford the focus to do such in quick succession. His right arm however would have been up and pointed, primed the moment Manji jumped initially. Having been mentally prepared for Jay's entrance, he would activate a technique that could potentially take him off guard considering he too lacked to activate any sensory abilities. The Repulsion Technique was the technique in question. By expelling a significant amount of chakra from his palm, it would reproduce the effects of Shinra Tensei to a degree, generating and unleashing a great repulsive force upon a target in the blink of an eye from a decent distance. In the possible, unfortunate case for the Nara, they were considered 'point blank' or short range, and the rather powerful force would likely serve to swiftly slam him straight into the approaching explosion of flames with enough concussive force to rattle his head quite a bit, possibly preventing a response altogether and dispersing any focus on maintaining any other battle ability for the mere moments it takes for him to be incinerated.

Finally, he would smirk during the jutsu's activation. This was a win he could not afford to squander. Nor could he insult the Nara or his mentor by playing games. Matatabi was at stake, and no matter the cost, he would bring her back. But he could still hope this was to be a fun bout. And with this fleeting thought, the man's inner mind awakened, and the eye was wide open as it focused upon any chakra signatures foreign to him, allowing Manji to perceive Jay in quite a detailed manner. Amber eyes narrowed upon him, and the grin would fade as he readied himself for his opponent's response. Despite his desire to give the man no time to recover or gather his thoughts, he knew this wouldn't go down so easily. Those weren't the types Athos trained.

'Huh...funny...it doesn't feel like autumn anymore.' Another idle thought that floated through his mind.

Inside the Earth, the Nara was able to feel the heat of the flames, since he was only about a dozen feet below. He had covered the distance in a rather short amount of time, so he had to applaud the man for being able to react in such a short amount of time. As he rose up from the ground, a smirk was plastered on his face, feeling the heat of the flames behind him.

Even as the man pushed a chunk of his chakra at him, the smirk didn't leave his visage. Naturally, well because of his training under the Gravity Seals (which he removed at 50x Earth's Gravity), he was used to force pushing against him. Speaking of which, he had grown accustomed to only using a minimum portion of the speed granted from that training, perhaps he should use 20% to see how his opponent handles it. Once the force of chakra hit him, his Natural Armor would glow white from the impact, and only because he had removed his G. Seals, he would be pushed back from Repulsion. Dazed, or rattled? Not even a little bit, thanks to the hits from his powerhouse of a sensei, as well as possessing the Strongest Shield. As he flew backwards towards the flames, a darkened cackle would erupt from his throat, remaining present even as he was engulfed by said flames, righting himself in the air to roughly land on his bare feet (roughly 65 feet away from Manji). His aforementioned Natural Armor would give him enough time to do what he needed to do.

With the flames being 9000 degrees, something he believed only one person capable of doing, considering who he was, but this was rather intriguing for him cause he too would have the capabilities of such. But for now, he had grown capable of resisting up to 2500, which still left him a very large margin to cover. In pure excitement, his dark chakra continued to surge around him, knowing the man had evaded his earlier attempt because of the energy. Well, a little more wouldn't hurt. Meiton: Hinshi no Hi no Netsu, would be the technique used, the dark chakra converting the flames around him (5 meters) into black flames with traces of their original red. It's parent technique (Heat of the Sun) would be further powered by the naturally absorbent qualities of the Dark Chakra. The technique (Heat of the Sun) would be derived from the Incineration Technique, and worked in such a fashion. By absorbing the surrounding heat/flames, the Nara would form an immensely thick layer of heat around him, the inside of this layer providing him (and his insides) the necessary resistance to survive comfortably, while shrouding him in the excess heat. With Dark Chakra taking the reigns, along with the naturally adaptability of his body, he would steadily grow more and more resistant to the high degrees. Though, it wouldn't last for long, because of the excess degrees, thus he would need to use the Meiton: Kurokoge Shokyaku no Jutsu to survive for the duration of his stay in the flames, his entire body and clothes turning into the dark flames. With the two techniques working in conjunction, the Nara would find his resistance growing at a substantial rate as his Dark Chakra took over the flames directly around him to prevent direct/indirect harm.

Even still, his cackling would be present, growing louder and louder. Once the flames would begin to die down, or spread elsewhere, leaving the ground charred and full of ash, the Nara would be there, the effects of his previous techniques fading away at a very slow pace, just in case the man decided to ignite the ashes below his feet. His cackling would begin to die down at this point, his head growing free of the effects of the Incineration Technique, giving him an ominous figure (with the blackened flames composed of most of his body. "Your flames are hot indeed, but Hell is far more intense. I'm your one-way ticket downstairs."

Dark Chakra surged into his eyes, the golden hues were soon overtaken by the darkness, turning into his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. But it was entirely different from the norm. What was once a deep crimson, was dark (not as black as the design) the irises eating, just a bit, at the white of his sclera. This was Totsuzenhen'i: Yami Sharingan, in which his Dojutsu would be cursed by the power of his Dark Chakra.

Even as this happened, he was more than ready to rush forward and use that aforementioned 20% of speed, which was roughly around the first gate of the average Taijutsu expert. His Natural Armor had been used up, but he had saved the seals along the lines of his belt, not to mention his pants as a whole. Just because he had said he was ready to rush forward, didn't mean that he wasn't moving, actually moving forward in a light gait. His mutated eyes would be looking directly at his opponent, a dark will o' wisp escaping from his eyes. If he wasn't interrupted, by the time he would step out of the conflagration, the Incineration variant would completely leave his frame.

Indeed Manji would not stand for being laughed at, considering another plan would be set off within his mind. Yes, the ashes on the ground. The very ones that Jay flew directly into the center of. Of course he was on multiple accounts, invulnerable to physical damage. He didn't anticipate the shield so he would no longer count moderate strength physical attacks a viable method of offense. Instead, he would mentally map out the distances between them while Jay started towards him. He had to give the man credit for walking casually in a giant minefield of Manji's chakra.

At this point, Manji would picture the small seal formation he has practiced over the years in order to recreate them perfectly. He has seen this seal with both Sharingan when he owned the eyes, and Rinnegan during the many times he's applied this in combat. With no room for error on his part, he would easily, and surgically separate the ash needed and ash unneeded before assembling the loose ashes into a shape on the ground filled with his chakra, which required setting them into the dirt, and causing them to be wholly unaffected by stray winds, requiring heavy scrubbing to remove them. This would activate the seal known as Fuseiritsu Fuin, and with Jay having no previously mentioned way of perceiving minute chakra signatures outside of the Sharingan active, this likely would have taken the man by surprise.

The seal itself is unique in composition, having been made by the founder of ROOT many a year ago, and passed down through the organization, known more properly as the Rupture Seal. This seal can be used to lock away one's chakra usage by forcefully separating the physical and spiritual energies upon being used to mix and make chakra by any means. Even pre-existing chakra would be broken down into non-existence. Now, it can be used in two ways, one being a seal imprinted in some manner (inked/juinjutsu/scribed, etc) on the recipient, OR it can be used to secure an area by creating a shape for a barrier to emerge from, requiring more seals from the caster with the larger casting area. In this case, the four-point square worked nicely due to the relatively average distances, and with no risk to Manji's end. It would serve to leave Jay at quite the disadvantage.

The points were placed as follows: As stated before, the ashes were across, and widespread for 50 feet, allowing the barrier that much width. The ashes however were stopped before going their full distance, capping them off at 60 feet, thus making this a slightly tall rectangle barrier. With Jay being originally 65 feet away, he would enter the ash field separating the two, and continue through such. Manji stood just outside of the southern half of the barrier, looking in at Jay who would at this point be around the halfway/center point.

Had he been caught within his Sharingan would be rendered inactive, and any seals on his person would release, probably allowing whatever sealed within them to escape to the atmosphere, or to fall on the ground. He wished to finish it before things could get out of hand too fast. If what he knew about his opponent was true, then he desired not to use up his chakra. Jay probably contained as monstrous a cap as his mentor and that didn't fare well for Manji. There was also the point of that shield that protected him from the Repulsion technique. Manji could not see it due to it not being made of chakra, and yet it blocked a powerful repulsion. That required him to somehow draw on a heavier power. (Manji of course being unaware that the shield was used up)

His muscles tensed, and his blood vessels became visible upon his forehead. His skin became quite red, and an aura of green overcame his form at the very moment the seals activated. The effects of the sixth gate opening were quite apparent as he marched beyond his barrier, chakra unaffected by the effects. 'Yes, the power of the lotus ought to break right through that shield of his.' He thought but to himself before breaking view to any untrained eyes with his start forward, zig-zagging to-and-fro, left-and-right, appearing within a moment five feet before the (hopefully) handicapped Jay with a devastating, overhead right punch aiming to smack him down to the ground via contact with the bridge of his nose. If taking his brisk movement into account, the two would meet at the 30 foot line within the barrier. That would leave the barrier lines approximately 35 feet north and south, and the east and west directions 25 feet away from them; plenty of room to play.

A mistake had been made, not by the Nara, but his opponent. Assuming he would be at a disadvantage. Allow me to go in depth about it. The man was a gifted sensor as well, more than capable of detecting the minute traces of chakra below him shifting to form it's intended design. From the sheer time spent in all the levels of the Uzushiogakure Grand Library, he had become an immensely capable Fuinjutsu Master, among other things, having probably studied more than 85% of its total contents (Not saying Manji hasn't studied all of it's contents during his tenure in the village). That was how focused he could be when he strived for something. Thus, despite not having a skyward view of the entire field below him, he took note of key characters being used slightly before it's activation (Being the forceful splitting of the physical and spiritual energies, preventing/immensely hampering the formation of basic chakra). From what he saw, he knew exactly what was going to happen... well not exactly, but he had an inkling from the those key characters as it was present in his very own Prevention Seal. Said seal had no effect on the opening of any of the Hachimon, bypassing it entirely with pure brute force. Perhaps this Rupture Seal was different?

The answer to his question came immediately upon it's activation. He could feel the chakra splitting inside of him, causing his Dojutsu to deactivate, the flames to vanish from his frame to leave him in the field of ashes. The next was rather surprising, given that everything sealed inside of him was released into the open world for all to see. Now, over the years, he's sealed a LOT of things of various purposes. Of course, Manji must have wanted to leave him sleeveless, to basically prevent him from pulling anything out from said sleeves (Metaphorically, of course, given that he's wearing tape around his hands and forearms.)

The obvious things to escape his storage seals were Ebony, Ivory, Ragnarok, Goliath, Cain, Abel, his Personal Manji Cloak, hundreds of kunai, hundreds of exploding kunai, hundreds of shuriken, hundreds of exploding shuriken, dozens of smoke bombs, ice bombs, water bombs, fire bombs, blood bombs, more than a thousand arrows, his wallet (which itself contained a seal to store his money, so they too also burst free), his personal journals which totaled at four and lastly his three mystical viewing orbs.

Those were the obvious things. The list was sure to get rather odd at this point, because next was his old home he shared with his ex-wife (Crimson Manor, a very large two storied home, complete with large attic and deep basement - which was about 67' x 79'), dozens of large vials of ink, four brushes of different sizes, dozens of different cooked meals, a large amount of groceries, a forgotten head of a bounty he's forgotten to turn in, a refrigerator, stove, two sinks, a toilet, an entire bathtub, a dishwasher (obviously things he had planned to install in the Nara Headquarters), future Birthday Presents, future Christmas Presents, bouquets of roses and lastly his gold chain which was looped through his wedding bands (something he didn't want to be wearing during the fight).

All of these things burst from his seals at the exact same time. The only things that wouldn't be subjected to this was Revenant, Hellsing, Aurora and the newborn Absalom because their seals were entirely more complex to suffer from this particular blowback.

Of course, the bombs would immediately release upon making contact with the ground (or house) as they were designed to do. Thus, from their release a very, very, VERY immense flood of smoke, ice, water, fire and blood would cover the plains. In order, each of the bombs had their own area of effect. With Smoke, one bomb expanded out into to 30 meters in every direction. With Ice, one bomb would release very large spikes of ice, it's area of effect being 15 meters wide and 25 meters high and low (piercing the ground). With Water, one dozen of the bombs could produce the effect of Kisame's Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave (The benefit of living on an island). With Fire, one bomb would release an explosion of fire which equaled Madara's Great Fire Destruction. With Blood, two dozen bombs would be needed to produce the effect of Kisame's Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave. He had three dozen bombs of each type, causing everything in the immediate area of release (about 500 feet in every direction) to feel the brunt of the resulting, aforementioned, simultaneous explosions. Even as the Water and Blood overtook the Smoke and Fire (Resulting in an enormous cloud of steam), the Ice was more designed for the spikes, but even it would freeze everything in the initial 300 feet. After the 500 feet, the Water and Blood would spread out for more than 3 miles, the first 500 being in classic tsunami fashion, before it would come crashing down in powerful rushing waves (The first house he built obviously destroyed).

Because this barrier hadn't produced solid walls made of chakra (or stated as such), there'd be no reason why he wouldn't end up being pushed out of it's own area of effect (If it even survived the onslaught).

All the Nara knew was, he would be at Ground Zero of the effects, initially pushed back by his old home, before everything else basically decimated it. Sooner, rather than later, he would end up regaining sensation of his own chakra. Every single shred of his weapons and tools were going everywhere, all marked with Hiraishin, so he wasn't entirely worried about this. It was basically thanks to his Strongest Shield that he was able to survive everything, otherwise he would have lost this match. He wouldn't drown under the sudden effects, as he manipulated his bloodline Hiki Toucho to develop gills on the sides of his neck.

Once he did this, he would swim straight up and after he reached the 100 feet mark (said mark decreasing by the second) he would burst forth into the air. After this, the gills would melt away and large pair of 10 feet long raven wings would burst from his back, flapping strongly to keep him afloat at that position. "Not quite what I was expecting." Because of this, there was no real reason to do anything offensively.

The best part about this entire thing was, none of that cost him a shred of chakra (His usage of Hiki Toucho not requiring a lot, if any, chakra to begin with). His Hiraishin mark was veritably everywhere on the battlefield without him having to set them up. His opponent would most likely would have been swept up as well. He wasn't sure if the man had anything help him survive, but if he ended up accidently swallowing even one drop of blood it would end up spelling the end of the battle (As his blood would end up poisoning him, not unlike Dokuton in such regards. Depending on the amount, it could lead to anaphylactic shock or something far more serious... like death through some other means.). Sure he was immensely annoyed that his journals had been caught in the crossfire of this little event, but at least they would be lost to anybody else, as they contained basically everything that made him who he was today. Without the DIY instructions, nobody could end up copying him. (Of course, this fight was OOC so his current projects would still be present for him to continue.) Even still, he was on the lookout for Manji, any shred of Dark Chakra gone from his system. He wondered how his opponent would react to the consequences of his own (Manji's) actions? Whatever it was going to be, he knew what he was going to end up doing. As the water leveled out, he knew he would end up finishing this little bout soon, his plan of action already formulating within his mind. Would Manji have activated his Sixth Gate in time? Considering the immediate release upon the Rupture Seal's activation, it was not likely. Would it have even mattered? Possibly. The man's own body heat could possibly keep him from suffering Hypothermia, though he would first have to escape the waves of water and blood.

Re: Battle For The Nibi, (Final Fight - Jay Nara vs Manji Yakekogi)
« Reply #9 on: October 19, 2016, 07:52:38 PM »

It seemed like his plan had changed. At least by a little bit. With the instantaneous explosion, it seemed like nothing could be done. Except, something could indeed be done. Now, Manji was no kekkai expert, but he was an Uchiha by blood, and had come across the Uchiha Flame Formation back in the day. Smirking, this should lead to his opponent's end. Instead of going gates, he would slam his palm down onto the ground as swiftly as he could. Simultaneously, he would activate the cursed seal on the back of his left shoulder. This would release a massive amount of dark chakra as well as Senjutsu into Manji's body, allowing him to enter Sage Mode on top of enhancing the passive dark chakra mode. The Senjutsu alone gave him a boost of 3x. The dark chakra would multiply this by two. However, there was only five turns to this boon.

This enhanced his speed enough for him to make this happen as he slammed his palm onto the ground in an untracable speed to the naked eye. Upon doing this, a massive red barrier expanded upwards before Manji, surrounding the entire area Jay was in and fast enough to prevent the blood, ice, water and fire from escaping. It could have swallowed 500 feet in circumference, and used the same dimension in height. This would prevent everything from spreading out too far and ruining the battlefield control that Manji had established, closing at the time and bottom(200 feet underground, 300 feet above ground. However, this white(extremely hot scorch release) and black(dark chakra) barrier had a second effect to it... It was indeed the Uchiha Flame Formation, but this was created not of Fire, but of Scorch Release chakra; fire and wind, and just as hot as the earlier flames. Of course it was limited by Manji as sage mode allowed him to go MUCH further with his flames.

Due to the intense temperature, by the time anything hit the barrier, it was essentially disintegrated into ash, or nothingness. By doing this, the water, ice, and blood would instantly become simple steam on touch, and thanks to the vast amount of it, the barrier would be filled with it. Now here was the kicker. The steam was as hot as the barrier's walls. Jay admitted to being unable to survive such. And even with his strongest shield, he still required breathing. He would cook inside as well as out had he done so.  Perhaps even Jay would be caught considering there was no physical way a house being released from a seal could push anyone, let alone pushing him from ground zero, especially with his entire body being covered with seals and releasing a multitude of items all around his body which would serve to push against him.

Hiraishin was not a factor here, as the seals upon the tools were released within the rupture seal barrier. This meant that the moment they did, the hiraishin seals would too, disappear, even if the explosion carried them away, leaving him without much of a way to get outside of the ultra-heated gases intact all while threatening to end his existence in a few seconds' time. In fact, simply by being trapped with such an intense volume of gasses would forcefully invade whatever orifices available to expand properly, as per physics, and that included Jay's. He still had to breathe after all.

It was here that Manji stood to his feet and formed a single hand seal by clapping his hands together. The once 5 turns he had in Sage mode had reduced to four due to the taxing nature of the jutsu, but he didn't feel as exhausted as he should have been without the buff of the Body Revival Technique. That's why he would be able to hold the barrier tight despite it being quite overfilled with gasses. He was going to smoke Jay out.

Re: Battle For The Nibi, (Final Fight - Jay Nara vs Manji Yakekogi)
« Reply #10 on: October 20, 2016, 11:08:27 AM »

As entertaining as this fight has been, watching the Yakekogi remain at long range, it was time for him to end things. Like his opponent had said, Matatabi was on the line, and he wasn't going home without her. While he considered the man a friend, he was also an obstacle. He's proven he was capable of killing those he considered "friend". Hell, he had went and killed the man that raised him up from an infant. Bloodthirsty and power hungry and he wasn't going to let something as pointless as friendship get in the way of his goals. He would mentally shake his head as he took note of the battlefield as a whole, having spent enough time with a certain cyborg to naturally speed his own processing, just to keep up with him.

What he saw was a sauna in the making, steam rolling off of the intensely hot walls of the barrier. He knew the Uchiha Flame Formation when he seen it, having decided to learn it a few months prior. Of course, being 100 feet in the air, said steam was seconds away from reaching him. He felt like he was in some generic TV show, because now he was thinking, "How exactly did this happen?" Naturally, being rather insightful, he was able to deduce such an answer.

Well, it was rather simple for a Sage to figure it out as well. The mixture of Dark Chakra and Nature Energy to enter a form of Sage Mode. And here he thought, he was alone in the endeavor of such a form. The man hadn't been still, despite not moving from his location, thus he would have to have gotten the energies from a seal. Sure, while it was possible to have gotten the dark chakra from within him, his senses let him know that it was mixed in with the Senjutsu Chakra. While he was sure his opponent meant that it was pure natural energy, he couldn't help but make the mental note that, if the energies were already balanced to be considered Senjutsu Chakra, would it not cause an imbalance in the Yakekohi's present reserves? If he was correct, then the man, even with the Dark Chakra, would not be able to even enter Sage Mode, due to there being too little Natural Energy to work with (thus it must have been a pseudo form of Sage Mode, most likely tied in to the Dark Chakra flooding the man's systems). He didn't know why the mention to the Body Revival Technique was mentioned, but it had to be tied to the Dark Chakra Mode.

Either way, it was time for him to act and he wouldn't take long to do so. While he had, of course, noted the presence of the steam once the waters got there, most likely immediately upon the Uchiha Flame Formation's construction, he would begin the motions that would be the end of the fight.

Manji had shown to be able to perceive the future based on very little IC evidence, example being him(Jay) having made it to the middle of a 60 foot rectangular seal. With that making the distance between him and Manji not a measly 30 feet, give or take a foot or so. Then the fact that said seal, once activated, caused him to unseal everything within his storage seals. Now I'm only going to focus on the house, considering the size of said house. One side of the large two story home was 67 feet, while the other side was 79 feet. Obviously, upon the immediate unsealing, said house should have smacked Manji in his face. He didn't know the Nara was walking around with the home he built for his family when his ex-wife was alive. But he managed to avoid such? Though, the Nara would let him get away with it if he chose such, because either way, the resulting actions were going to end things.

Of course, he'll let that slide, considering it obviously didn't matter for what was going to happen next. He had mentioned that Manji wouldn't allow him to get close, even though he had obviously dressed himself for a fight. Perhaps he always wore it, but hey, can't judge somebody on their attire. In any case, back to what he was trying to do. Immediately upon the notice of his world becoming a sauna, he would also take notice that the waters had swept him clearly away from the 65' x 65' x (perhaps) 75', considering the man had mentioned the Rupture Seal being a slightly tall rectangle. Obviously he had risen to 100 feet, more than clear of the effects of the ashen seal, now deeming it destroyed because of the destruction at ground level (considering one character out of place can cause a seal not to work and his spikes that jutted into the ground was sure to destroy bits and pieces of the Rupture Seal).

Again, it mattered not considering where he was. Now that he was full of actions, after the following flap of his black feathered wings, his chakra would go into motion. The first thing it would do would be to focus chakra to his right hand, pulsing to complete the sequence of chakra manipulation to put his Four Pointed Implosion Seal on standby, only needing contact to activate the effects. In the time it took for him to raise his right hand to be just shy of a 90 degree angle to his body (considering Manji's shorter than him), his pulsing chakra would move to his eyes to reactive his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan already in it's inverted state (noted by the fact that the design of the eyes were a blood red while the background was now black). Earlier Manji had mentioned something of a higher power. In that instance he was wrong, now he would be right to assume so. Anyway, in the simultaneous fashion of the activation of his EMS, considering the activation of one's dojutsu didn't really require such an effort of chakra manipulation. In any case, back to his chakra, as he had activated his EMS, his chakra would have been pulsing for the simultaneous action of using the Teleportation ability his God of Chaos had gifted to him through his eyes (Much like the God, Jashin, gifted his followers with the knowledge to make one immortal). Thus with his Teleportation, at the very next flap of his black feathered wings, which took a full second to complete with each flap, he would vanish from his current location in a flash of dim light.

While other teleportation techniques had limitless potential in range, much like Kamui and Hiraishin, the teleportation technique he was currently employing had drawbacks on range, being only capable of transporting in half kilometer intervals (which was 1640 feet). With that said, any semblance of control Manji thought he had was null and void at the moment. Because, once he would reappear (doing so behind the former ROOT member), his hand (already outstretched) would reappear directly on the back of Manji's head. While, he's not incorporating an auto-hit, he's simply stating that it was so due to perfectly timing his reappearance with the motion Manji took to return to his full height to maintain his Uchiha Flame Formation barrier, the very next flap of his wings working in conjunction with the man's clap of his hands. He didn't even need to flap his wings, it was just something that happened due to being in the air immediately prior.

Remember the Four Pointed Implosion Seal that was setup beforehand, well now, with the contact, it would go ahead and activated. Because it was the single target version and due to the instantaneous nature of the teleportation technique, contact would be a sure thing. Because of the fact that Manji hadn't activated his own Sharingan (due to his only mention of the dojutsu was in reference to the Nara's, though it wouldn't have mattered much), he would not have the perception required to analyze the manipulation of the Nara's chakra in that split second before the teleportation.

Thus the seal would activate, centering itself on the back of the man's head, the contact with the man's head making it so that it was the first thing suffer the effects of the seal (even as the script of the seal made it's way towards Manji's hands and feet underneath his clothing... like some sort of naughty fuinjutsu >.>). The white light would shine at the epicenter of the seal, causing an immensely powerful force of gravity to draw the target's body (and only the target's body, due to being marked by the seal) towards the force of gravity which, as the name suggests, would end up causing an implosion. Due to the mark resting on the head, said head would go first, veritably leaving zero recognition of such a fate befalling on them. The points of the seal, the target's hands and feet, would be last to suffer the effects of the implosion and the resulting completion of the seal would be in the shape of a pure white cube (around the size of the Marvel Universe's Tesseract). Said cube would end up falling to the ground in a harmless clutter. While the effects of such a seal was reversible, Jay himself would have to perform the feat.

Thus, because Manji was so focused on the erection of his various barriers, not even taking note of the Nara's new position in the air, said Nara was able to carefully calculate what he saw in his opponent (learn from it) and end the fight. "We all die someday, it's only a matter of when... unless you're immortal... nah they can still die... not naturally, of course. No brain, no life... I think... darn you Kishimoto for not going further with that concept." The Nara would rant at the sky as he picked up the cube, less it accidently gets broken... or treated as a paperweight. Even still though, Manji was alive inside (if the cube doesn't get broken), only he'd be in a sort of stasis. The fight was OOC, so even if it did break, Manji wouldn't have to worry about anything in the slightest. He'd wake up in his bed, thinking this was some sort of nightmare, only to forget it seconds later... then probably go eat some cereal... mmm that sounds good right about now.

You see, reading carefully is key, just as Jay pointed out, and by doing so, it seems he broke his own word. When he spoke of rising a hundred feet in the air, it had not mattered how high he went. Manji was clearly speaking of the ashes on the ground being formed into a slightly tall rectangle. He was speaking of length and width of the formation; x and y. But where was z? There was purposely no Z. No matter what height, he was still within range and thus was unable to use chakra. Unable to fly, unable to teleport. So long as one was confined within that slightly tall rectangle of ash, ninjutsu could not be used.

There seemed to also be Manji’s own attentions being called into question. Well, that would be a void point. After all, in the beginning of the bout, he did claim to activate the mind’s eye to focus upon Jay and his chakra constructs.

Now, his fairy tale would end at that point, being swallowed up by the liquids and fires, but that wouldn’t be fair at all would it? He so graciously allowed Manji’s slip up to go through and so would Manji in return. Look at that, ladies and gents. Maybe honor wasn’t such a bad thing in these fights. But no longer.

So there it was, Manji's defeat was imminent due to being blissfully unaware that his opponent could teleport at will. This fight was over with Manji's eyes wide as he yanked forward from the touch. Or...so it would seem until Jay vanished into ash. But how? Manji clearly stated that the barrier before him was nine thousand degrees. Indeed he said one would instantly disintegrate into nothingness when touching it, but due to nine thousand degrees being just shy of the sun's surface, it was safe to assume that being within a few feet of such would produce the same effects on the human body. Manji knew for a fact that Jay's training had not been nearly high enough to resist such, let alone tank it without using his incineration technique which was unavailable at this point thanks to him teleporting right to his death.

But then would that not result in a double-homicide due to the seal? No it would not. Even if he somehow managed to still place the seal despite burning alive, Manji would have stopped being pulled by gravity because the seal would pull itself into incompletion. How? Well Jay claims the seal is on the back of his head where most of his hair lies. Sure the seal would spread, but the main seal would be pulling his hair which (like most hair) is made of very small fibers. It was common knowledge that a seal could not operate if incomplete. It would fail, and gravity would cease, if not by Manji’s forward motion but by the gravity and that's exactly what would happen the moment his hair was tugged in the slightest fashion. The technique itself was stunted by its own design. It was quite disappointing that a self-acclaimed 'fuinjutsu master' would allow his plans to be foiled by such a basic concept, but let's get on with the match.

Let's say that hypothetically the barrier didn't give off such heat despite being so hot due to the failing of saying such (despite the implication of such). It would do so in droves now, due to Manji's instantaneous, reflex usage of heat manipulation, activated upon feeling the hand on his head while lurching forward. This grassland was almost instantly an ashen, burning wasteland. But even then, let's say that he could somehow live through it because of his strongest shield. There were still his eyes, and other bodily openings that could let that heat into his body. By simply breathing, Jay would have cooked his lungs and other internal organs with a single breath of the superheated oxygen. His feathers, having no pre-stated heat resistance, would spontaneously combust. His blood would evaporate at such close proximity (which we'll state is now five or so feet), and his brain was doomed as well. The sudden loss of blood would send him into shock, and prevent any further action.

Manji's own organs went through mutations to be able to resist such along with his skin in his training on Cibanhujy. That included his blood. Jay had not. He stated prior that he would die due to this heat. Well, let's put that to the test now. Manji was not so much as sweating from this. Where would the unprepared Jay be? Right behind him. But that was simply one move to be done.

Beneath Jay's feet lie his chakra. How? The ashes prepared for Manji's use he so carelessly frolicked within was enough contact for him to be subject to the Flying Thunder God Technique. Manji would use this since nothing was stated about them being washed off by any means. Since Jay liked to teleport, he would find himself now in front of Manji, hand out towards the barrier but how? Manji had Hiraishin seals inked upon his wrists. In fact, Manji's hands were now on his ears due to the victim being teleported to said wrists, between his hands. Just as Jay had done, he wasn't claiming an autohit, but due to the circumstances, it was a nigh unavoidable fate.

But what would happen at that point? Timing his teleportation to execute with his -hopeful- final move, he would apply the rupture seal on both sides of his cheeks through the tactile action. Without even the use of his chakra, there was absolutely nothing that could be done with resisting the heat of his barrier. He was a mere human against a small star's surface heat. This fight was done unless he could do something about the seals and get away in time for him not to turn to ash but even then it would have all been too late considering how fast one would naturally burn under such conditions.

It was rather funny that one would mention that words were key, yet didn’t understand what was happening. With nigh a mention of Sage Mode/Dark Chakra Mode, he must have been right to assume the attempt had failed. Hell, this Uchiha hadn’t even lit his fingers on fire to even activate the particular technique, which would mean the man had simply slammed his hand on the floor. So that was veritably two wasted and incomplete actions.

Did the man forget that the immensely high quantity of water/blood (liquids) released from the confines of his seals (and further released from their homes), would veritably sweep him away (Despite its implication, since he was completely submerged)? Why else would he have bothered to grow gills and swim up instead of even further outwards? Again, to reiterate, the waters had carried him clear outside of the radius of the ash (A need to mention that again was rather null and void. And since you hadn’t argued that it had surely survived, it was likely that his aforementioned ice spikes had torn through it like cotton… or some other analogy that would explain the ease at which one thing can tear through another. So, of course, this Rupture seal was dead and gone. Thus he was able to fly, able to teleport even if he was within the previous radius of the ashen barrier). Any stickiness from the leftover ash particles would have definitely been swallowed by the flood of water/blood, the liquids not having a single trace of chakra to cancel out.

The usage of his Hiki Toucho was more of a physical alteration than one gifted through the help chakra, which was why full transformations gave him the chakra signature average to the animal in use (Because he was literally turning into that animal). He mentioned chakra because it was possible for the mix of the energies to enhance the transformations, whether they were partial or full. Not even the ability or Chimera Final-Form usage required chakra, just that the option to further enhance the qualities of the transformations. Thus, even if the barrier was still a thing by that point, it wouldn’t have affected him anyway.

He was fully aware of the man’s Mind’s Eye, only stating that that alone didn’t have the perception ability like the Sharingan possessed, and thus wouldn’t be prepared for the teleportation. There was no slight on the Nara’s side at all. Any perceived slight was clearly a misunderstanding and it wasn’t his fault his opponent couldn’t fully comprehend what was happening to him. The man still hadn't activated the Sharingan, causing the Nara to keep the perception advantage in this little tussle.

Acknowledgement of being touched was really all that was necessary. All that talk about the hair follicles, miss me with that B.S, because my entire hand connected with your head. Notice how I said head, not hair, all the way down to the scalp. But, okay, let’s say the jerk or lurch was even allowed, considering how instant this entire sequence is (as it’s designed to be). If the seal was on your hair, and the force of gravity is directly on the back of your head, even if the seal was to be incomplete, (Which was entirely why I had chosen the head, instead of an article of clothing, for this exact B.S scenario.) in the span of time it would take to be considered such, about 1/100th of a second, considering the length of your hair, the force of gravity would tear your head right off your shoulders (Because I had also stated that it would do such even as the script would be en route to its destination, i.e hands and feet. Because it would seemingly be forced to have a shorter distance, the aforementioned force of gravity would happen even faster as it was designed to take the point of contact first and foremost). Unless Manji could completely stop time and go ahead and shave his hair, even this process would end the fight.

Now if this fight was IC, I’m pretty sure you would have accepted the sealing, instead of the death approach, but because it’s OOC, you attempt to B.S your way out of a defeat. I know I’m still considered a newbie to this realm, but don’t even attempt to run some of that Grade A, B.S at me. With no head, there was zero chance for any attempt anything (especially since you had also acknowledged the seal placement as well).

By all accounts, Manji Yakekogi was defeated by sure death instead of the nonlethal variety. (If the man still continued to deny such, we could go ahead and ask the judge to decide the fight in the most non-biased of fashions.)

(For Sh-ts and giggles, I’ll continue in the opponent’s mind.)

To prevent any autohitting, he’d go explain how the other attempts would be pointless, even though the man was dead by now. As soon as the Nara felt the heat of the barrier, another simple Teleportation would be all that was needed to put distance between himself and the white hot barrier (By like 1000 feet), which would have be a split second before this apparent heat manipulation (His Sharingan noting the telltale signs of chakra manipulation and he would react accordingly, his job basically done). If the man persisted with his continued life, he would then attempt to FTG the Nara through the connection of the ash that hadn’t been rinsed from his feet, to which he would respond with another Teleportation to narrowly avoid the attempted Rupture seal placements, (Yet again, his Sharingan watching the entire thing from all distances). Again, 1000 feet away, he’d shed the bottom of his feet like a snake to rid himself of the ash, taking a step backwards to disconnect from the flesh. He’s not going to deny the burning of his wings as they had been called upon after he had breached the water. Though, because of the second instance of being near the barrier, (that shouldn’t even be there) Jay would be slightly dehydrated as that split second was enough for 45% of the fluids in his body to evaporate.

(I will now send a message to the judge to ask him to rule.)

After a long and thorough discussion, as well as reading over the fight too many times to be comfortable, I have made my ruling as judge.

Both parties know my reasoning and have presented any relevant arguments, so instead of copying all that or summing it up(especially cause I'm at work), I am just going to post my ruling.

Both parties fought well and reading the fight over as many times as I have didn't make me hate either person, meaning it was a pretty good fight ;p good on both parties.

Anyway, my ruling marks Jay Nara as the winner of this round, though it wasn't an easy win. ^^ Thanks for choosing me as your guys' judge.
