Boruto introductions?

I have not really kept up with the manga series since the end of Naruto formal, but apparently the new Boruto series continues to expand on the narutoverse. What made me come to realize this?

Not that I couldn't already do something similar with cursed shadows, but it's apparent that the Boruto series is going to take some time to expand some of the "other" clan stuff as well. Are we as a whole acknowledging the Boruto manga/anime series as much canon as Naruto manga/anime?

That jutsu at least is from the portion of Boruto that is just a retelling of The Last which is a canon movie. Once we get past that part who knows? We'll have to see how ridiculous it gets and see if we want to accept it or not. Since the series opened with that new edgelord character implying Naruto has been killed I'd wager his powers are pretty unfair, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I don't always make sense, but that's kind of the point.
