It is possible to make a mobile version of the mailbox? Super self-explanatory and it would be really convenient. The only thing I do *ON SL with my smartphone is to check my SL mailbox really and I'm pretty sure tons of people would love this too.
*edit - added something for clarification, but it doesn't matter whatsoever

You can get your mailbox sent to your e-mail. So, y'know, make an e-mail speciifcally for your sl and enjoy.
-
Rai fool that takes too much work. I would actually like a mobile inbox.
-
You can? I thought in order to reply you have to actually log in and stuff.

You can. Preferences -> Game Behavior Preferences.

Yeah but he's referring to not having to login... Even if you have it forwarded to the email by turning the Preferences on, you have to log into the site in order to reply.

Hm.
Theoretically a stripped down "game version" (login + stuff) could be done holds only the mail client.
Can't go anything wrong in the mails, no harm with game interactions.
I'd do a webapp, but I am not that familiar with it.
But the idea might be worthwhile.

Yeah, that's why I asked only for only the mail and not the rest of the game because...that would take ALOT of work.
Since it's just the mail client, I'm pretty sure it would be somewhat easier, then again I'm not an amazing programmer.
-
Ah, perfect time to learn more about apps for us all! xD
I'd really like a mobile mailbox though. o,.o
-
That would be handy

I played around and got something partly working. Mostly because of "logged in" and "not logged in" is an issue.
Think I solved most of it, but strangely now the password tests fail. Probably occult reasons.
When I am done with throwing chicken bones, I'll let you know.
The mobile template should be auto-selected there, and it would miss a log-out button presently. It's "mail-only", but you're basically logged in completely.
-
Wait, this is actually happening? Oh gosh, this is amazing...no more pressing the wrong button with my thumb, yay!
-
Sweet. No more messups.
-
Possibly. As said, the session handling/login is a bit murky.
Don't know where the password problem lies - but it's not meant to work this way, so expect trouble :P
No timeframe yet.
-
It's better than nothing, thank you so much Neji.
-
Just posting here...you know...cause I still want this to be a thing.

=/

So is that a yes or a no?

I don't know but he can take a year to do this or not even do it at all. It's just suggestion (a super awesome suggestion ;) ...) and coding something is pretty hard. It is what it is.

"Possibility"
Let the man work. He'll give you an answer later. :3
-
As said, I'll get to it when I can :) but it's still buggy somewhere deep within.
-
I knows, take your time. :)
-
So, any updates?
-
Sorry, quick question.
What are some important aspects to a mobile version that you guys are looking for? (Besides an easy access mailbox)
I personally don't ever log on while on-the-go, so it'd be useful to know what others want from a mobile version.

nevermind, I just realized there's a separate thread regarding mobile. DERP.
