Spam / For all the OGs of 2005
« on: March 16, 2022, 10:43:16 PM »
Hey there! None of the new crew will remember me or know me, except for what's read here and you'd all be rightly justified in thinking I'm an obnoxious know it all! I was tho, so, no hard feelings.

I'm just posting here since I've already contacted a few of my old friends from that era, and just wondering if any of them occasionally check back here. I'd love to hear what you've all been up to! Even those I didn't get along with when we were teenagers (let's be real, I didn't get along with like anybody besides a few). Let's talk about things like, when did you start playing? Are you still in touch with some of your friends, or have you reached out? How have your relationships here formed your adult life? Many of us were around for several years, and quickly formed tightly knit groups together, we were in some way, part of another's life! I've met so many memorable people here, in this teeny bopper game, and even married my best friend in real life in 2013. We shared this game together for years and maintained heavy contact after players moved onto the next big thing in their lives. We're all close to 30 years old now, some younger some older.

I'd truly love to hear from you guys. This game was, quite literally, life changing and I genuinely wouldn't have it any other way.

Spam / I will say this now
« on: September 12, 2010, 04:45:57 AM »
Due to recent events, people will blatantly come up to a person and falsely accuse them of doing something. So I will publicize this now.

It seems that people do not understand fully where I come from. Or fully what I'm meaning to say. Of course, someone with a mind of their own will take these words and twist them into a way they are comfortable with understanding. That way of understanding can lead to various things. It can lead someone to insults, praises, love, fear, pride, guilt, and other emotions.

So please, hold your tongue. Realize you are speaking to an individual, not a name set into pixels. And that individual? They may very well turn around and set fire to those keystrokes of yours. They can do the same things that you are capable of doing. You can ruin more than just their opinion on you.

Take care.

Bugreports / Timestamps
« on: October 26, 2008, 03:04:05 AM »
Seems to be a slight malfunction. I've checked other areas, and it seems to be clan halls, maybe just Drago. Here is an uploaded image of my screenshot.

The timestamps are not in order, as you can see that Court's comment is definitely way off when relating to the time the comment was submitted.

Spam / Seeking coders/scripters
« on: July 18, 2008, 05:09:09 AM »
I am currently a resident of a new .hack// place. the staff there are working on a project called Epitaph: The Twilight Children.

Soon, we are hoping this will turn out to be the game it was intended on being; a 3D .hack// based MMORPG.

While production was going smoothly as I've heard, things started to slowly degrade when the site lost a few of its most experienced coders/scripters.

There are tutorials available (from what the owner has told me) for beginners who wish to learn, or maybe just pure newbies who simply want to try their hardest to help out.

I just joined today, and I'd like to see this place thrive. The people are friendly, and the site has decent popularity.

If you're interested, *please please* visit the site and look around. The leader of the project is Cubia-Zetsu. We need all the help we can get.

Game Related Discussions / Dwelling Limiter
« on: June 16, 2008, 05:34:55 AM »
I just became actually aware of this. Each town has too much of an abundance of dwellings. There should be a temporary limiter because surely, in any town, land will run out. With so many houses already built, shouldn't there be some kind of limiter that disables the ability to build another house? This should be implemented until houses are purchased as they are.

Yes, I know. What if we can't pay right up like that? Then wait and save. You can't put down payments on mounts or anything else, right?

But in real life, you can make small payments at a time. Yes! You're right. But there isn't infinite space to keep building.

There are just so many houses as it is... And if people keep building, others keep selling. There are over 1000 houses in each area (except Hoshi and Stone maybe).

Spam / .hack// Fans

I found a rpg based post forum for .hack//.

It has it's own story, and is still being currently worked out. Its not active, and I'm trying to give it some life. So, if you're a .hack// fan and have a decent understanding on the game/series, you should give it a try.

And no, this is NOT spammer's heaven, so don't go there if all you plan to do is talk about nonsensical things please.

Please, also read the information and rules boards. If you don't, you'll become lost.

Game Related Discussions / Graveyard Opinions
« on: January 26, 2008, 02:35:28 AM »
If you ask me, I think it's way to unstable and unpredictable. I've observed that when I die, it is literally impossible to win more than 2 torments in the graveyard. I've spoken with Baluski and he seems to have a very similar problem.

I am flustered that I am being hit for 7, normally 10+ hits in ONE round. And the 'get-hit-with-20-one round' and then get hit with 200+ the very next round, in the very same fight, against the very same person.

If that is the case, is a resurrect system even necessary? I just find it very ridiculous that, because it's based off of Psyche and Spirit (which CANNOT be altered) that it's near impossible to win.

Each time I've been killed since this update, I have not resurrected ONCE.

Anybody that is going to flame and says it's just me, don't post here. I have one particular person in mind. Maybe he/she has changed by now.

I'm sure some of you have already caught word or may have even seen. But back as ever, I present myself.

But I'll still be inactive as internet means go. We're having food troubles, let alone money in all together. So I can only get on very very rarely. I'm at my fathers right now. But my god, it's great to be back.

Feature Requests / Mount Visibility
« on: August 10, 2007, 06:38:29 AM »
I was wondering since Oliver plans on working on the Kekkei Genkais more, that gives us more time with our mounts.

Would it be possible to make something in the Preferences section to display your mount (meaning the CREATURE, not the name you payed for) by choice.

Like how mine says Pegasus the Pakkun.

I'm not too fond of 'the Pakkun' thing.

Like is you select "No" to have your mount displayed, it'd just show Mount: Pegasus

Is it possible to make something like that in a short time?

Spam / Moderator wrongs and rights.
« on: July 04, 2007, 07:46:23 PM »
Personally, my answer is none of those.

I think moderators need to dust up on realizing that when people create a character, they agree to every rule and are expected not to break them. Yet we get ridiculed for punishing those that do in fact, break the rules.

When somebody breaks a rule, it's like lying to the people of Shinobi Legends, betraying their trust, lying to the entire staff, including the head administrator. Therefore, why let a liar run rampant? People make mistakes, yes. But if you break a rule here, then it is a mistake that you have registered since you cannot uphold the vow you make once you click that button. Any liar should be punished. Anybody that breaks a rule should be punished. Nobody likes liars.

So we get insulted and looked at as shameful pricks that abuse their power... If that was the case, then why do WE have the power and YOU don't? Apparently, those that say such things think they are better than we are and are more capable to balance the system.

It's wrong for a moderator to have a soft heart and warn a person for profanity. It's right for a moderator to have a heart of stone, and punish a person for not only profanity, but lying to our faces.

Now let's get started on rank discrimination.. We've all seen it. We've all heard it. How about we all do something about it? Racism is prohibited on SL, yet it happens everyday when you get a Jounin putting a Student down. It's an unknown type of racism, as most people don't think it is. Yet, do you really understand my perspective? Some people may say it's a joke, others might be weary on the topic. Some may be completely against it. A white person insults a black person. Oh, it must be racism. A Hunter Nin insults a Chuunin. Oh, it must be a joke.

African Americans were previously enslaved, and the lowest on the hierarchy. Whites were always gods in the past

Students are the lowest on the hierarchy. Hokages are always gods in the future to them.

Racism is banned from this site. Rank, just two characters away from race, discrimination should also be banned.

People need to open their eyes that when they receive a mute or a banned for three days for roleplaying sex or swearing enough to make a drunken sailor blush, that it's not much of a punishment at all, more like a gesture of kindness and warning to the person.

So little do people know.. what moderators should really be. What moderators really aren't.

Game Related Discussions / Low Ranked PvP
« on: June 20, 2007, 01:41:36 AM »
Now, from what I'm away of, I have a theory that low ranked PvPs (Student - Jounin?) are completely unstable.

I can support this this by saying Cerberus, a 5 DK Chuunin, can be attacked by a Jounin (purple at that) and can have an obvious advantage health and stat wise, and they will lose. However, when I attack a Student with Cerberus, I get completely slaughtered or turn out to be victorious with very little, or almost all of my health. What purple Jounin, with higher stats and all, would get owned by a Chuunin, then have the Chuunin get annihilated by a Genin or Student. Make sense? No. It doesn't.

I'm not understanding this. There is NO way it's decided by luck at low ranks. It's completely impossible. If it was luck, there would be a steady pattern throughout the PvP. Not 'let's hit the person for 20+ and then have them hit me back for 1-4 because they have a higher rank than I do, and then let's let them hit me for 30 so I can retaliate for around the same.' ><

I'm thinking that the stability and fairness should be adjusted to make it seem realistic.
