Title: Being couter-productive
Post by: Kevin on December 04, 2006, 12:04:25 AM
I play the game as usual. I log in, fight in the forest, gain experience, and log out from my dwelling. I know it's possible for me to get killed, but when I do some forest fights...well, let's just sayI'm losing more experience than I am gaining. In the end, it doesn't really get me anywhere.

what level are you?

where are you losing that much exp?

how do you calculate that?

I am currently level 14. I pretty much lose that experience throughout the game. I only figured this out because I note my experience before I log out. When I log in, I get the message saying I got killed in my dwelling. I fight in the forest and note my experience before I log out. It used to be higher than my previous experience, but now it seems like I'm losing more experience than I am gaining. It makes no sense since I haven't done anything different.

Well, you should then die less.. (fleeing is an option, always fighting to the end not)

and maybe... akamaru is not the wisest choice if you ride the hardcore way.

sleeping in a guarded dwelling would also help... you might stand watch.

Well, I haven't died in any fights. The only way I died was somebody killing me while I was in my dwelling.

then I may say you do not use many turns.... if a few % of your exp match all your fights.. do you only slum?

You will never level up if you go slumming at that level and get killed everytime you logout since a single death from PVP can set your exp back a level. I made a character once that I login and logout in the fields everyday. Other players seems to kill her without fail. After a week of this, I finally decided to level her up and it took me 3 days (9 game days) of thrillseeking to finally get to the point where her exp bar finally starts filling up.

what level were you? surely not level 1.
well, if you lose 10 pvps and do not gain a single exp point, you have have basically 100*(.94)^10 percent of your exp left, which is 53%.

whoa... so you just cut your exp in half. with level 14 about, it is more than 10k of exp... what do you expect? to get it within a few hours back????

I am sorry, but your comparison is absolutely ... useless.

NOW, back to Kevin:

do you sleep in a dwelling? alone? treehouse or cityhouse?

That's a very cruel thing to say >.<

Now, back to the question that Neji asked Kevin,

Does it matters? I kill Chuunin Bane whenever he logout. It doesn't matter where he sleeps, just as long as he is not in the inn, he is dead meat. I think Kevin might be having the same problem as Chuunin Bane.

I sleep in a cityhouse along with two other people who are in my clan.

PvP weaker or lower level player to get you to level 15 and kill Oro immediate.

If possible make a research on the target that you attack, double up your chance to win in PvP.

Otherwise, burn your PvP in the Hindi Shop to gain you more turns.

Use the event of the forest to advance your statistic so that player wont kill you easily while you logging out..

That's all i can give.

Good luck.

Ask whomever that is killing to please stop (worked for me when KingCyrus and Shukaku was doing it to me) or stay inside the inn in Konoha Gakure.

Yeah, Rave Master kept killing me, but I'm Boeing 747-400 Air Kevin, not 707. Anyway, I don't have any other place to hide out in other than my dwelling.
