Village Square / Re: Solider Pills
« on: December 22, 2012, 09:34:25 AM »
Here's the Narupedia entry on them:

(They) are special pills that replenish one's chakra and nourish the body Made up of powerful stimulants and nutrients, said to allow the user to keep fighting for three days and three nights without rest.

So basically, what this means is that they likely restore more energy than they do chakra, and the effect likely wouldn't be an instant thing like the Akimichi Clan's colored pills.

So, here's my opinion:

A) Their stamina would be restored and increased drastically
B) Their chakra would be slightly restored over a period of time

So basically, the downside to this would be after the energy granted runs out, they'd likely crash as though they had a few energy drinks IRL.

And yes, I know I'm kicking a dead horse on this one because Reimu just said what they do... but whatever. I summed it all up.

Village Square / Re: Challenging for canon items
« on: December 12, 2012, 02:19:52 AM »
Alright, even though it seems likely no one cares because I'm sayin' it:

I personally feel that custom items should be worth challenging someone for a la the Bjuu, it's exactly as everyone's been saying. The people tend to go inactive or just hide it away like cowards.

However, custom items, just shouldn't be touched. I just don't think it's fair to take an item someone may have spent hours working on and/or fitting into the Naruto-verse, plus, we'll have that one OP character that preys on people with custom items, and grow insanely powerful.

JUTSU/ETC

Both canon and custom should not be challengeable. I had someone once beg me and then get very upset because I refused to teach him Mind's Eye of the Kagura IC.

Besides, this means that more powerful players can wail on the weaker and inexperienced ones, or the old an inactive ones to learn more powerful techniques if they can. It takes the originality out of SL. We don't need 50 people running around spamming Hiraishin or using the most powerful summon etc. etc.

Final Verdict:

It should only work that way for Bjuu and Canon Items, I can understand that it's great you guys can challenge one another. But it's the same thing as having a zone record of say, 50-2-0 and those 50 wins being against Acads.

The weak will prey on the strong and that's not fair. Bocchiere, the most OP character will end up with everything. That's not fair.

Besides, isn't this what claims were meant to be made for?

In my opinion, RPing as another race outside of human is okay so long as one can define how their powers function using chakra, and how they came to live in the shinobi world.

But villages for those sorts of things would take too much time, and too much effort, a clan on the other hand, takes roughly 20 seconds to make.

"Wha- I didn't say I liked it Oyakata-sensei!" (If anyone doesn't know what 'Oyakata' means, it is Japanese for 'way of the parent' and is used to describe a surrogate father or mother.)

Hmm.. I don't wish to kill 'em per-se, but just defeat them.

Eric-senpai
Kayenta-sensei/Oyakata-sensei, as I call her
Zojin-chan
Silver-shi
Raijin-sama.

I suppose I want to prove myself as a shinobi, and out-do my rivals as well.

Conventions / Re: Shinobi Legends 2016
« on: July 22, 2012, 05:24:49 AM »
Look, I'm from Canada so a convention would have to be in a half-decent place so that everyone can go. I'd like to meet everyone, but then I'll just get laughed at because I'm probably the youngest person...
>.>
<.<

Anyway, if we had a convention, I'd suggest we set up a panel somewhere rather than simply renting out a space, Otakon, Anime North... something like that.
I'd totally go to that. Look for the sick looking, black haired guy with glasses, I'm too lazy to cosplay...
XD.

Hmm... That is quite tough. Considering how many people I've met in my 'travels' over the past 4 years in the SL community.

I'd have to say the following:

1. Eric
2. Kayenta
3. Silver
4. Zojin
5. Raijin
6. Bocchiere
7. Saki
8. Chusaki
9. Shirosaki/Hakai/Hero of Time
Bonus. Me (No, seriously)

Eric - Well, as he stated when he said I was one of his favorite users, he's been my Senpai since '08, and the second overall since Sensei, he was the first friend I actually made, and he is also one of the few who basically kicked me in the rear to start RPing seriously.

Kayenta - Ah, sensei. Always ready to greet me with some form of physical contact, be it a poke on the forehead or a thwack to the back of the head. She was one of the first few people who actively tried to stop my god-modding (but since I was so stubborn, it took TWO YEARS for it to cease entirely)  and she's still actively helping me whenever we speak. (Even if she does hit me. *sniff*)

Silver - Well, Silver and I had a bit of a hatred for each other from 2008 to about earlier this year, but that's grown into something a friendly rivalry, he's one of the few people who openly helps me with my RP like the two listed above, and he also tells me not to push myself, quite often really.

Zojin - Zojin-san is another 'rival' of mine and also the person I credit for helping me get off my rear, and take my Jounin Exam. I find her intellect to be on par with my own, and am willing to openly state it IC (God don't make me openly state it IC...) not to mention her fighting style is pretty 'neat' as well.

Raijin - Raijin-sama is very interesting to me, he and I met in '08-'09 and I never really bothered with him until he became Kazekage and I moved to Suna. He's one of the people willing to call me out on my crap besides sensei. (This doesn't mean god-modding but rather arrogance, etc. etc.) and I can wholeheartedly respect him for that because it helps me grow as a person

Bocchiere - To be honest, I don't exactly like Bocchiere, but he has always provided a decent challenge, even if he's killed me once, and claimed to do so several times (though it has only been ONCE.) I dislike his OP-ness, but I do like his sense of bravado and immaturity every now and then.

Saki - Saki-dono. Well, she and I met just recently, and I suppose we don't know each other all that well, but she's very unique in my opinion because of the way she acts with valor and whatnot...

Chusaki - My second sensei, the man who originally taught me how to use my Suiton Chakra. Chusaki's been a good friend of mine since... I think '09... anyway, he's helped me through ups and downs, and he is quite funny as well. When I heard he came back (after leaving SL) first thing I did was challenge my old -senpai to a fight. It was very fun, and a good test of my skills, as fighting Chusaki always has been.

Shirosaki - Shiro was the person who helped me re-launch Getsu in the summer of 2011, he started off as just a subordinate of mine, but it was interesting to see him grow. He was my best friend, and it saddens me to think he has finally quit SL after a year. He surpassed me a long time ago, and I wish he was around now to see how much I've improved. He's also gnoe by Hakai and currently known as the Hero of Time.

As a bonus, I'd like to say myself from 2011 to now, because that's when I fully stopped godmodding, and
started being more detailed with my posts. Though I'm still pretty arrogant IC, that trait is slowly being corrected.

If you think I forgot you, please send me a PM on S.L. Since I don't visit the forum very often.
