Bijuu Arena / Kage v Trev
« on: December 30, 2015, 03:27:46 PM »
My opponent has challenged me and acknowledged the following preferences below

Summoner: Kage Uchiha

Affiliation: Amegakure

Acquired: 10/2 by inheritance from Ichirou. Grace Period ends 10/9.

Battle Method: OOC Death-match

Preferred Outlet: Plains

Judge(s): TBD

Conditions:

- What happens in the OOC match stays in the OOC match. Losing of items, abilities, limbs, etc. is not carried to your IC circumstances. The same goes for gaining.

- You must have a biography/profile detailing what abilities and techniques you have, which includes your mastery in your abilities. Techniques used that are not listed in your profile will be voided. The same will go for notable skills and abilities not explained in your profile. Exceptions for this are General Skills, such as Tree Climbing Practice or Water Surface Walking Practice. Simple nature manipulation such as producing a small gust of wind to re-balance yourself or causing some water to flow into your mouth to drink is fine as well. Combining techniques on the fly, such as using a wind technique to empower a fire, is also exempt from this.

- Custom techniques must have articles or pages detailing them, enough to justify their usage. If they are too over-powered beyond the abilities of canon techniques or too character-controlling, they will be voided.

- Both parties are able to surrender whenever they wish during battle.

- Both parties (Or teams depending on the number of combatants) reserve the right to boot a Judge one time if they feel the judge is biased or unjust, and then discuss and select a new judge.

- All participants have up to 3 days (72 hours) to post. Failure to post within the time frame will be a loss. Real life situations that call for an extended leave of abscence beyond 3 days can be extended to 5 days (120 hours). Failure to post within the 5 days counts as a loss. In the event that the challenger loses by this, their challenge cool-down time will be reduced from the standard 3 months to 2 weeks.

- In the event of my own loss, the challenger shall agree to inherit my challenge list. Granted, the remaining challengers on the list reserve the right to rescind their challenge in the event of a change of possession of the Tailed Beast.

Voids:
- Auto-hitting techniques
- Swift Release
- Izanami
- Kotoamatsukami
- Inescapable Kamui
- Bearing both Sage Mode + Rinnegan, or Sage Mode + Tenseigan
- Sage Mode + bearing the perks of Sage Transformation without the usage of Strange Transmission Distant Shadow
- Manipulation of time itself
- Kekkei Mōra
- Filler techniques that are deemed too powerful and/or surpass canon-equivalent techniques
(Note: This is a list of voids I could come up with off the top of my head. Others may be added within discussion of the challenge or later.)

Current Challengers
None

Past Challengers
- Kamui (Conceded due to RL issues; Two-week cool-down period granted)

Preferences are subject to change.

After accepting the above publicly, I'll be allowing him the choice to perform the first post or not.

Bijuu Arena / Tailed Beast Hold
« on: November 01, 2015, 05:18:40 AM »
Due to the differing opinions on what to do with the Tailed Beasts, since some see them as void and others see them as present but having no rules attached to them, I have a suggestion.

Strip all hosts of their beasts and halt all challenges/fights. Then keep it that way until we get some new and updated rules going. This is basically removing them from any play at all. Hosts will get their beasts back once the community is content with the new rules. But this doesn't mean that this will serve as an opportunity to forever put them into limbo, as some would rather have in an attempt to eternally void them.

Of course this would require support from not only community members, but also current hosts to personally lay down their beasts for now so we can progress with the issues at hand. I for one would put mine down for now to get some progression done.

Feature Requests / Village Change: Jiseigakure to Amegakure
« on: October 26, 2015, 07:54:31 AM »
I would like to purpose the renaming/restructuring of Jiseigakure to Amegakure. This is mainly because it seems like prime real estate for RP, and I feel that it's about time that it be introduced to the site as a village board after nine years of it being continually brought-up. And if I could site the numbers from the poll in the topic here, it can be shown that a minimum of 23 members of the community already fully support Amegakure becoming a village board. More are very much likely to cast their opinion for this.

Amegakure, the Industrialized Village of the Rain

A constant downpour of rain can be felt upon you, as you enter the village composed of iron and steel. All around you the inhabitants are wearing a cloak to shield them from the rain, and a constant chatter could be heard from the people around yourself. Steps of feet hitting upon water and steel can be heard all around you, which blends in with the sound of the rain hitting upon the metal buildings and pipes that compose the village. The entire area of the village is illuminated by lights from various shops and neon signs, making the village seem not so dark by the constantly cloudy climate, which give off various sparkles of lights at night.

A presence though can certainly be felt, as you feel watched by the eyes of the village's security hidden in the crowd and lurking behind steel buildings and structures. Conspiring or suspicious individuals have a tendency to suddenly disappear in this area.

The clock at the Ramen Shop reads [time].

You hear a villager say that today is [date].

Some would say that Jiseigakure is meant to be an area of neutrality for anybody to enter into and RP in. But really, it's not different from our OOC boards that we already have. Below is the RP and OOC board of Jiseigakure, copied and pasted as of this post's current date.

Bijuu Arena / Gyūki's Possession
« on: October 03, 2015, 05:33:06 AM »
So I decided to bring this topic up, since I don't want to participate in an editing war on the profile wiki with Keito and Yujo. So here are the current events and facts that's happened.

- Madara wins the Eight Tails
- Madara wishes to give Ichirou the Eight Tails
- Ichirou wants to host it instead of having it as a summon, so him and Masane are told by, or ask, Yujo to revive him so he could host it
- Yujo does his back-stab and the chaos of the 16 page argument commences
- It's decided that both parties go their separate ways with their own timeline

Here's where it becomes a Tailed Beast issue.

- Yujo wants to claim the Eight Tails, because he believes that even after denying so many times that he didn't revive Ichirou, he thought that it would be in his greatest interest to say that he did after all, just so he say he unsealed Ichirou, somehow subdued and beat him without proper RP, unsealed the Eight Tails that Ichirou didn't have yet and claims himself as the new host of the Eight Tails.

The error in this though, is that the whole point of Ichirou going through this RP is so he could be revived and host it in the first place. Though he did mess up in going along with this questionable revival RP and posting his challenge preferences too soon. But we decided that when/if this thing gets settled, we should go through an OOC process instead. Ichirou and Masane have left the site, though that doesn't mean that Yujo and Keito now have the beast. According to the Biju Rules, the beast goes to the village if the host is gone.

ºHosts Must Committ to Active Statusº
Jinchūriki have an obligation to be active, and are stripped of their bijū if they cannot get online and do their round (1 post every two weeks), regardless of the reason. The leader of their clan/organization will inherit the bijū; if the jinchūriki wasn't in a clan/organization, then a tournament/event can be arranged to determine a suitable host.

I don't know how long they're going to puppy-guard the Tailed Beast page on the wiki, but I just want to bring it up here and discuss their reasoning as to why they're saying that they automatically have the Eight Tails now. And for now, I'll update the Tailed Beast list on the forum to the current correct one.

Bijuu Arena / Shinju
« on: October 03, 2015, 04:38:31 AM »
So this is a question for those who are actively voiding the Tailed Beasts.

Since you guys don't believe in the Tailed Beasts or the Gedo Mazo, would you guys be willing to void the Shinju too?

We have to remember, that the Shinju is what granted Kaguya the power of chakra in the first place. After fusing with the Shinju, Kaguya turned into the Ten Tails. The Tailed Beasts are the divided chakra of the Ten Tails, and it's body being the Gedo Mazo. But because the Tailed Beasts and Gedo Mazo are not acknowledged, does this include the Shinju as well? If so, then chakra would have to be actively voided as well, since Hagoromo inherited the power of chakra from Kaguya and shared that power with his descendants and others without it through the usage of Ninshu.

Just something to think on, before somebody tries to claim that they've eaten of the Shinju's chakra fruit and have more power than all the Tailed Beasts combined.

Village Square / Death to the Wondertwins! Part 2
« on: September 08, 2015, 03:56:12 AM »
This topic is a direct continuation of the previous issue discussed here: http://forum.shinobilegends.com/index.php/topic,8558.0.html

@kage I understand it's lore that's twisted... But they never questioned it... That's the main problem they were fine with it all the way until it backfired even though they knew it was impossible.... The fact that you didn't even call it into question until after he was supposedly sucking up Masane... Is sort of bias.... Now hold on before you get unto bash Bryan with a hammer moment I'm just giving my opinion as you know I've agreed with a few things with you before but in this case it's just honestly unfair to just say let's void it... If you or anyone.. Chooses to ignore rules or correct descriptions of techniques to further there gain but then be disappointed when it doesn't work out... Well that's honestly karma... Now for all I know you just didn't see it till then and then said something (completely understandable) but the 3 people who were rping had already agreed and proceed with the rp until true ties were shown can't just be ignored.... Look at what happened when a situation like this happened earlier (Neala and Eric) thought it was random the Rp continued... Only in this case it's worse because they knew the technique wasn't right and didn't voice it.
I didn't have the time to read up on the activities of the clan halls in the time period that this was happening. I could give details on the current workings of my life and other things that are going on in it, but then this would turn the topic into a soap opera and tumblr blog post.

I don't treat my village members as dogs and command their every move. I let them do as they please on their off-time. But I did have to step in and advise them of why this isn't going to work. By letting this fly, I would be acknowledging and allowing Yujo's claims of being able to do all this. And as a kage of the land, that grants him some privileges and support in the powers he displayed. This is why I void it. Yujo may have claimed that he did it as "smoke and mirrors" to win them over, but RP is RP. He gave no indication whatsoever of this being an illusion.

I just want to say my two cents on this part right here. You know, it's really hard to do proper 'sneaky' RP if people want every little detail being said. Basically, it's hard to pull the wool over someone's eyes when they're constantly demanding explanations for things so they can avoid it.

Like if I post that I threw some disks at the opponent and the opponent managed to dodge it. If I were then to post that they explode because they were proximity mines, the opponent would be up in a tizzy because I didn't state that they were mines in the first post. Or if I spew a cloud of smoke but neglect to state that it's really fine particulate glass shards mixed with oleoresin capsicum. The opponent might hold their breath or something, but when I then reveal what the smoke really was they'd be upset that it 'hurts' them.

Mainly, if someone's trying to do sneaky RP, then they should be able to be as sneaky as possible with their intentions. Only in the end should they be able to unmask their plan to show that they intended. Or if someone confronts them before they get to that point, then they'd be able to say "And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for you meddling ninja!" But in this case, it looks like no one really confronted him.

Though I don't agree with that whole "You're sealed away forever, I win" conclusion here. Sure, it's character death, but it's done so in a way where you take the player's ability away from them to bring their character back. And unless they're okay with that, I don't really think that's cool. Character death is an okay thing, I think they should be able to come back through gameplay.
Actually, you do have to state that these certain disks will explode. It's called retro-posting and is a godmodding situation, where you state that you did something in a previous post that never occurred. I actually do the whole exploding disk thing myself. But with shuriken that were marked with the Explosive Seal before they were thrown. And I make it a point to explicitly say what I'm doing in my post.

Now whether or not somebody is able to see the seals upon the shuriken is up in the air. Without a doujutsu to see that there's chakra on them, one can only infer that they're ordinary shuriken, because it would be hard to actually see the seals on them while they're spinning. But this becomes an issue where you have to evaluate whether or not your character has the means to actually see, avoid or counter the oncoming threat. Taking a hit means that they accept their limitations or inability to do so.

Alright champ *Ruffles Kage's hair* lets take a step back. It's already been established that his misconstruing the lore would have no effect on the outcome of the RP in the end. They accepted the RP Yujo laid out, they made a mistake. Did you even read the whole thread?

If you believe that your so involved with this RP, maybe you should have read the RP that was going on in your village for two days before it needed to be taken to the forum, and this could have been stopped long before. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Your silence is just as much acceptance as their's was.
Like I said before, I was busy. But we did agree to bring this to the forum on the day that I said to hold up the RP via PM (below). The thing is, he took a day and a half to post the topic and locked it, for what intentions is still ambiguous.

Quote
Take it to the forums then. Reputation won't be an issue if I'm representing them. I've been able to sway people in upholding my authority of voiding other custom things before used in my village.
---Original Message from 預言者, Uzumaki Yūjō(2015-09-06 05:47:24)---
The revival technique? Lel none of that other than the Shinigami pulling the soul out was legit. The auto-sealing? I never stated it to be an auto-sealing, but under the conditions that she placed herself in, I just find it unlikely that she can escape.

And no, you simply cannot void legit RP because you choose to, you are the Kage, not the GM, if you chose to take that ground, I have already copied the RP for this exact reason, and will fight you all on the forums.

So, Masane will give her response, if it's not sufficient, expect a forum post. But if you want to throw out hypothetical situations, who do you think the community will side with? The guy who only has gone for the Sanbi, or the Masane and her brother who have pissed more people off in the shortest amount of time possible.

I don't feel like arguing with you about it, either Masane posts, or we take it to the forums, I'll wait till the end of tomorrow before I begin the battle.
---Original Message from Uchiha Kage(2015-09-06 05:39:17)---
That's not the problem. I already said that the revival technique is a problem. They can very easily escape in the next post, since auto-sealing somebody instantly is equivalent to auto-hitting, no-matter the amount of mastery somebody claims to have.

If you want to make a forum topic about how your custom revival technique, that is more advantageous and useful than canon methods, then go ahead. Let's see how that goes with the community. Especially since Ichirou's method of being the Eight Tails' host was to first become revived by this RP.

But taking it to the forums will only draw-out and RP-lock all parties involved with this for the entire ordeal of the discussion of the topic, which can last for a long while. Especially with it involving the fate of a Tailed Beast and it's planned host. But that won't be a problem for me, since I can just hold the beast under a summoning contract and avoid that.

Voiding is the only thing that will come out of this. I for one will void this under my own authority of having rule over the land that you're currently in. Ichirou and Masane have already acknowledged my decision to go through with it after talking with them. You can save yourself some time, trouble and face if you simply accept the void.
---Original Message from 預言者, Uzumaki Yūjō(2015-09-06 05:25:31)---
I am sure they've told you that I am not here to kill them. Not even you really. So I am not interested in starting over or voiding it.

I'm not even up for compromise really since that would imply that I am wrong in doing what I did.

It comes down to this, Ichi/Masane trusted information I gave them OOC, and applied it IC. My character IC, if you read the RP, gave no reference to the OOC, and used deductive reasoning to justify his actions if any of that mattered, and at the end of the day, Ame and Uzu aren't on the best terms since the Keito debacle.

If she doesn't have a defense that is sufficient, but I am confident that she doesn't, then they are done.

If you have any other defense for them, be my guest, I will continue to remain civil with you.
---Original Message from Uchiha Kage(2015-09-06 05:11:05)---
The entire revival method conflicts with lore and is more over-powered than canon, and even non-canon, methods of revival. And the fact that a Tailed Beast is involved that will make the situation even more troublesome. But ultimately, it will be impossible to continue with the RP because of the change-up that would immediately happen if a repost or restart is granted, due to both of them already-knowing that you're coming with not-so-good intentions.
---Original Message from 預言者, Uzumaki Yūjō(2015-09-06 05:06:41)---
I'd prefer it didn't but we all know I have no issue with fighting on the forums.

I'll be civil as long as you are.

My case is out there in the post, what is yours?
---Original Message from Uchiha Kage(2015-09-06 04:58:25)---
It doesn't have to.
---Original Message from 預言者, Uzumaki Yūjō(2015-09-06 04:58:03)---
Is this going to have to escalate to a forum thing?

Village Square / Uchiha Massacre
« on: August 16, 2015, 03:50:14 AM »
So I've noticed mentions in many bios, on-site and off, about the Uchiha Massacre. You know, the one that had reduced the clan to just two living persons.

I think there should be a few things cleared up about this on SL's history map. As everyone should have noticed by now, our history does not coincide with the series' history. And in all my years of being here, I have not seen any sort of massacre happen. In fact, it's only been quite the opposite. There are Uchiha everywhere. If you've noticed, I even emphasized the point with every text option available that helps to emphasize that word alone, because if anything, the Uchiha have been breeding with any person they could possibly breed with. Perhaps in some ways that are foreign when compared to the usual ways of breeding.

I personally don't really acknowledge such an event occurring, and would just wave off any talk of any sort of event as delusional banter when it comes to RP. But I want to get some history of SL down somewhere, and maybe even a general listing of areas where SL's history diverges from the series'. So what's everyone else's view on the subject?

Village Square / Jutsu Watch Discussion

So continuing from the other topic about guns. This is the ninja's version of having a one-up on them.

While I may not be entirely for guns, they're kinda hard to pull off when much of the ninja population consists of the clan with red eyes that can perceive thing slower and predict the movements of others.

Though when compared to the pre-loaded jutsu wrist device that lets any ninja use any element with just a little chakra in the Boruto movie, guns get pretty out-teched by ninja tech.

Be sure to watch these clips as well. But note that these are spoiler-heavy of Boruto: Naruto the Movie.

Village Square / Senju Clan Ability Amendment: Regeneration Ability
« on: July 07, 2015, 11:45:06 PM »
So I've been checking out some updated stuff on the Naruto Wiki, and wanted to bring to light an update on Hashirama's Healing Power.

When it was initially made a page, it was classified as a higher caliber passive Medical Ninjutsu. But as of recent from more translation from the latest databook, it's actually been given it's proper given name of Regeneration Ability. It also was removed as a Medical Ninjutsu, and then restated as a passive ability that Hashirama apparently naturally has.

I bring this up because it's currently claimed as Healing Power, and is based on information of old from that claim. But if it's a passive Hashirama trait, then it could mean that it's a passive trait of every Senju on SL. I say this, because we attribute the abilities of the Senju Clan from Hashirama alone. Like his Wood Release and cells being one of the components needed to unlock the Rinnegan on here. Now it won't be crazy healing like Madara when he healed his entire lower body, since a part of that had to do with him being the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails. But I wanted to know what you guys think of this being an additional Senju ability.

And now we wait a year to see how exactly Boruto defeats the new Kaguya-like villains.
