Village Square / Bocchiere and Friends vs Madara and T'Challa
« on: September 05, 2016, 10:27:46 PM »
Bocchiere would feel his chakra drop as control of his zombie was lifted from him. He knew that it was Madara as it was the only zombie he possessed at the time. He would immediately summon a crystal ball to his hand and use the Telescope Technique to find out where exactly he was. After confirming it he would use Kamui to transport himself to the area T'Challa and Madara were in, spiraling out of a portal 100 meters above their current position. Flicking one hand over one of the seals on his arms he'd summon his two allies to his position, Uchiha Desare and Taiga Saejima. All three hovered in the air, Bocchiere creating a Moku Bunshin and ascending his eyes to their Rinnegan form, Desare activating his Eternal Mangekyo, and Saejima activating the Byakugan in his right eye, an implanted three tomoe Sharingan in his left.

Village Square / Is the chakra pathway system physically present?
« on: August 04, 2016, 12:11:07 AM »
What I mean by that is, if you dissect someone, could you pull it out and hold it in your hand? Like you could with the vascular system.

I've always thought that the system itself is energy based and isn't  physically there. my thought is that since people did not always have chakra did they spontaneously grow a vascular-esque system when hagoromo gifted it to everyone? I would think it not being a physical structure makes more sense

I'm legitimately asking that question since if I am the only one who actually wanted to see that situation reach a resolution, rather than a cursory effort at pacification, than I'm not going to get this to go any where.

Yomi said that the wiki staff would discuss a solution and try to "make it work out for everyone." I told her that was impossible if she planned on actually solving this problem but waited to see what she would do. As I suspected all she did was sweep it under the rug.

In fact I would argue it was biased toward Kiri because at first all she did was lock the claims list and switch ownership of the swords back to Kiri. Only after I asked, "Hey how does it make sense to switch ownership back to Kiri when the claim is disputed?" Did she make it a dual claim as it remains to this day.

I want this matter actually resolved, not just brushed aside. Kiri lost those 2 swords, they did not post having them at all in the 90 day period, they were sealed away, and at no point through the entire affair did they provide even one piece of evidence to the contrary.

So can we actually settle this or not?

Village Square / Zone Fighting Power Levels
« on: July 28, 2016, 12:38:13 AM »
This is just a fun little thing I thought of and wanted to see what other people thought of it and would rate themselves as.

Basically my little formula is rating a person's overall zoning ability on a score of 2 to 20. You get this score by adding two scores together "Strength" and "Skill". Strength is your character's IC ability. Are they a Genin, Jounin, Kage, Bocchiere, etc. Skill is your actual writing ability in regards to a zone fight, how good are you at fighting people? Can you notice errors and take advantage, can you properly post and defend yourself and such? Both of those are on 1-10 scale.

You would then compare your power level to your opponents and it should tell you how easy or hard it would be to beat them. I don't have a scale for that yet but obviously if you both have the same score the fight should be a 50/50 shot either way, and so on in either direction higher or lower.

What do people think of this? Accurate? Totally wrong? Taking it to its far extreme would be to say someone who is rping the highest power character but cannot zone to save their life and someone rping a Genin and is amazing at zoning would be 11 each and about an even match and I'd tentatively agree with that. And what would you rate yourself at? I want to make a little scale of everyone, just for fun, to see what it looks like. To nip any arguing or snide comments in the bud I want to note that you should only tell us what YOUR OWN score is, not anyone else's, no matter how well meaning you are. Let's just not even start that.

I'll go first and say that I'm a perfect 20. Bocchiere is arguably the strongest person in the world of SL currently and I am the best zone fighter. #humblebrag #actuallythatsmoreofaregularbrag

Feature Requests / Turn Off Clan and PVP Mail Alerts

I hate them. I wish I could kill them but that isn't how computers work. Could we possibly get an option to opt out of receiving clan join/withdraw notices as well as pvp notices? I don't play the ingame forest ever so I couldn't care less if I've been pvp'd

OOC Battle
Judge is Shadow
Zone is 8

All rules and such are agreed to.

Fight is OOC, in zone 6, judge is Shadow.

Neko can have first post.

How should this be handled? I'll add a poll once our options are all laid out. I think a good middle ground is that only council members and the involved parties should be able to post in the discussion topic. Plaintiff, Defendant, and the Jury, pretty simple.

Option 1: 1 discussion topic. Open to council members and the plaintiff and defendant.

Option 2: one discussion topic open only to council members

Option 3: two discussion topics one for council members only and one for every one

Council / Why is immediate corruption being supported?
« on: June 28, 2016, 07:41:23 PM »
So why are staff members posting warnings for not following rules that don't exist?

If you want to make it a rule that noncouncil members can't post in the deliberation topics or simply make a private area they can't get to than fine.

But the council has no powers currently to restrict who can post in a topic, has no power to just make up rules out of the clear blue like they did with this no posting one, and should not be threatening people with punishments for not following these illegitimate rules.

Is anyone else ok with the council being able to make up whatever rules they like and punish you if you don't, that staff members will apparently support this ability?

Rules/Foundation / Ammendment Discussion: Kuchiyose: Gedo Mazo
« on: June 27, 2016, 02:44:06 PM »
Kage brought up in the discussion about the Mazo that, even though it is already done through IC means, we should make it a rule that only the owner of the Gedo Mazo can summon it. I agree with that. Is anyone against amending the bijuu rules to reflect this?

-Once a judge is agreed upon, either before the fight starts or the first time a decision is needed, they are the judge for the rest of the fight.

-The Challenger and Jinchuriki each have a one time ability to boot a judge. If the agreed upon judge makes a decision just so despicable that you need to get a new one you can say that after this decision you are requesting a new judge. Each participant can do this ONCE, and NOT while a decision is being made. Once a new judge is picked they are the set judge for the rest of the fight, or until the remaining boot is used on them.

-You cannot borrow techniques from your friends like Dust Release or Hirashin. You can only use what abilities and tools you have In-Character during the fight, even if it's OOC.

-If you take 7 days to post, the fight will be called off and you will be declared the loser. If the fight was OOC that means you just lose. If it was IC that means the opposition gets to legally auto-hit you, likely meaning you die or are sealed. Note that the timer does not reset if you posted once and then have to repost. I.e. You waited 6 days to post, but your post was all godmodding and autohitting, and then waited 3 days to repost, then you still lose.

-Everyone gets ONE repost only.

Bijuu Arena / Official Challenge to Warren for the Gedo Mazo
« on: June 15, 2016, 06:06:55 AM »
]Challenging a Host
You cannot challenge any host until after their 14 day grace period is over.

Well he's been the owner for years, and you don't actually master the Gedo Mazo, so I guess its up to decision whether or not he should get a grace period.

You must check forum host preference threads to stay informed.

He doesn't have one so done, I guess.

You must post to the host's preference thread to make a valid challenge. Notify the host through a pm on SL that you have issued a formal challenge.

He doesn't have one, so I'm posting this here, and cannot send a pm since he has me on ignore.

You and the Host have 1 week to set up and begin the match.

Mhm.

You are bound by the activity rules too. Notify host of inactivity in pm and his preference thread or forum match if applicable. After 14 days in a notified inactivity you will bow out gracefully and may challenge this host for this bijuu again after 3 months.

Agreed

You must post to match every 7 days. After 7 days from a non-notified inactivity, you will bow out gracefully and may challenge this host for this bijuu again after 3 months.

Agreed

After losing a challenge, you may not challenge the same host for the same beast for 3 months. However, you may challenge this same host for a different beast in his possession without waiting.

Agreed

OOC matches are 1v1. Preferences can alter this upon agreement of all parties involved.
You may have more than one OOC match going at the same time.

Agreed.

Naruto / Madara's Storm Release
« on: June 09, 2016, 08:36:37 PM »
Is this ever explained? I assumed that you just gained all KG when you became the 10 Tails Jinchuriki, but that isn't ever said anywhere. Are we really expected to believe that Madara just had Storm Release all along and it was just never used or mentioned till then?

"After becoming the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki, he was shown using Yin Release to create lightning bolts, and Storm Release – a mixture of water and lightning-natured chakra – to create energy beams that could cut through the Six Paths Rods."

Special Conditions

-The match is IC unless otherwise agreed upon.

-The match will be what I refer to as "staggered IC". That meaning we can rp whilst the match happens, but the end result of the match will still occur IC. Once a victor is decided the Jinchuriki and Challenger then finish whatever rp they are in and immediately post going to begin the fight, so that is when it happens chronologically. If you manage to get yourself killed before the fight happens it will be voided, but I'm not forcing you to rp elsewhere during the fight.

-Once a judge is agreed upon, either before the fight starts or the first time a decision is needed, they are the judge for the rest of the fight.
